We've been regulars here since we stumbled on this place a few years ago. Recently remodeled, the desserts continue to be amazing. While I can't name anything I get there, I just point at what looks good and it's always amazing. Super delicious Baklava and assorted sweets. Cakes look amazing, I spoke to the baker and he is super creative and open to custom designs, etc. The ladies behind the counter are very nice and accommodating and walked me through my choices with precise detail. Alhamdani Sweets offers a variety of baklava, knafeh, assorted cookies with sesame seeds, Turkish delight, halwa, and zlabiya. The store is small, with no seating inside, however all the items looked like they were freshly baked. Mixed Pastries ($13 a lb) - Pricing here was $12 ~ $14 a pound depending on the display case selected. I got a mixture from both cases so it came out to be $13 a lb. I ordered a variety of pistachio baklava and two types of knafeh (one with custard cream and the other with Nabulsi cheese). The knafeh (shredded phyllo dough served over a custard or served over Nabulsi cheese [similar to Mozarella] was really good, especially the custard one. The baklava was impressive here and among some of the best that I have tried. It had the right amount of sweetness and the phyllo dough was so crispy. Overall I was really impressed with the baklava and sweets here. However my favorite was the knafeh, especially the one with the custard in it. Parking wasn't a problem here as they share it with a grocery store and some other business. This place takes credit cards. read more

This place was amazing! I told the lady it was my first time and she gave me a sample to try, which was delicious. I got the small tray and mix & matched different kinds of baklava. I can't name any, but they were all incredible. The chocolate one and walnut one were probably my favorites. The texture and flavor is really nice and rich. They had been sitting out in the case so they were very syrupy and kinda soggy on the bottom, but I don't mind that too much. People were continuously coming in and out, and many seemed like regulars which is always a great sign. I paid $26 for this whole tray. read more

I order a dessert which they proceeded to tell me it would take 20 minutes so I came back waited another 20 minutes (even after acknowledging me & what I was here for 15 min in) about another 5-10 minutes they told me they "forgot" about my dessert after they sold a whole tray to somebody who just got there. Bad customer service & only prioritize you if you buy $150+. I spent $60 btw. Would not go back. I usually recommend this place bc it's close by and decent but there are many other baklava+ places that are more considerate and provide much better customer service. They didn't even try to make up and soothe the situation either. I had to request a refund and they gave me a refund based on the lowest price (not including taxes or anything). Amazing baklava. So many different kinds don't know there names just point or ask them to recommend. The cream ones are delicious. Birds nest is probably least favorite but still good. Everything taste fresh. They have so much more than baklava but I haven't taken the time to look around. I have seen they sale local honey jarred or with raw honeycomb. Too many delicious sweets to choose from. Great for parties or just a quick dessert. Don't by baklava at the restaurant just come here. Hope to try everything one day. Have you had dessert from the Middle East? If not this IS the place to try all kinds!! They really have some beautiful tasty treats, that look like artwork. My favorite is the desserts that are cheese stuffed. It's a very mild cheese and very different from any other cheese I've encountered. The cheese has more of a mild cream flavor, anyway it's fantastic, I one of my favorite desserts to try. They have many different kinds, and the cost is reasonable. I took a picture of a large variety pack I ordered which was $10 total. When I came home I shared some with neighbors and they loved it so much they literally left to go get more, lol!! Some Baklava was in order when I stopped by this Middle Eastern Bakery. The Baklava was very well made, and best of all, they did not hold back on the pistachios. The filo was expertly layered and heavily laden, in a good way, with sweet natural honey. The crushed pistachios were abundant, crunchy, and tasty. Their baklava rocks. The lady who ones the bakery makes everything herself with some help by her husband too I believe. She's very proud of her product and puts a lot of heart in what she offers. read more

If you're craving baklava, turkish delights this place is it! It's In the Weinerschnitzel plaza, the owners are sometimes working solo in the back and busy baking so be patient and they'll come to the front. The owner helping me was wearing a mask and there were also signs to wear masks before entering. I ordered two small pans with a mix variety for about $12 a pound. I almost wish I never came to this place... Because I'm officially addicted!!!!! Being middle eastern, I've had good baklava, bad baklava, and just ok baklava. This place has some of the best I've ever had! Walking in, a very sweet lady by the name of Ava helped me out. She gave me the rundown on some ingredients and let me sample a couple things. Showstopper was the giant slice of a baklava type cake. I had to try some of their cheese kanafa and I also got a couple of their other selections. The cheese kanafa is what won my heart over. The place I usually go to changed their type of cheese and I noticed it right away. You can tell how good the quality of the cheese is by the cheese stretch and the way it kinda melts when it hits your mouth. The lower quality cheeses are not as stretchy or don't stretch at all and have almost a bubble gum texture when chewing. Here, they have that cheesy, stringy, sweet flavor I'm always craving. Everything about their cheese kanafa was to die for and I highly recommend it. The other baklava selections I got were just as good. Definitely try the baklava with chocolate on it, it's hard not to like. What I really enjoyed about this place was that everything wasn't overly sweet. Some places drench their baklava in corn syrup and you could feel yourself getting a cavity. This place has gotten the sweetness level just right. The service, baklava and selection were all wonderful at this place. I will most definitely be back for that delicious cheese kanafa. read more

The Zinood is unmatched. They are warm, delicious and so fresh. Other desserts there are amazing too, but the Zinood is their specialty and I don't know any other place that makes it. We usually get a big platter to go, and keep it in the fridge because it's a drive for us. read more

I'm not an officianado but the Znod here blew my Mind. A Persian guy I know went out of his way to bring these to me when they were hot out of the oven and Hell Yeah is all I can say. Made me get the details and drove well out of my way to pick more up. They are the best fresh and warm but are still good heated up at low temp, careful not to burn the filo. Hands down the best Mediterranean/Middle Eastern desserts baklava shop in Southern California if not the entire US. I discovered this place when a dear friend introduced me to the place in early June. And so far (2 months later) I have made the 3-hour drive (pilgrimage!) at least a half dozen times to get my fix of the goodies made at this shop. The baklava is not overly sweet, rather it's packed with flavorful fillings, pistachio, and other nuts. The shop also sells traditional and French cookies and other middle eastern desserts such as Kunafa which is best served out of the oven. Variety of sweet delights such as Lokum, Minalsama (from the heavens), bird's nest, Znoud Elsit, etc. All delicious and flavorful. Prices are very reasonable considering the shop uses the best ingredients. Owners are very hospitable and we highly recommend this place. read more
