Let's start with the positives ambiance was nice with a mix of indoor and outdoor Lounge/dining options. Service was attentive and friendly, gave detailed suggestions when asked. However, my lofty expectations of Roy Chou inventive and tasteful culinary masterpieces were crushed. Compared to best friend the food here truly is a 1 star, but I can appreciate the lower price point and size of the portions. The food is amazing, and there's something for everyone even if you have dietary restrictions! Anything with the word "Pacman" will be really filling (there's 4 types of meats in there!), and the prices aren't too bad! I'd say you HAVE to get the fries, but sometimes they're sold out because they're so delicious! The drinks are also amazing. I've only ever sat outside because I heard the inside gets pretty warm, but the ambiance is great - definitely would recommend for a date night or catching up with friends! Only street parking is available, but you can usually find a spot within a block or two. NOT family friendly - only 21+ allowed, and they'll card you at the door. read more

I am obsessed with Roy Choi... the food, the drinks, the atmosphere was amazing! We had 8 cocktails. They were all delicious. The Mezcal drinks were the perfect balance of smoky and sweet. I love this place even more now that they have outdoor dining. Some nights it used to be hard to have a conversation due to all the noise inside. Now it is nice and mellow on their patio. The food is as good as always. My go to is the short rib tacos and the sweet chili chicken quesadilla. They are taking the Coronavirus seriously. So first things first, this is the best place in LA to have a vibey date night! Highly recommend to get there a hour after they open, before the late night rush. My girlfriend and I really value date night, like which couple doesn't. For starters we had green tea shots and gold rushes! We ordered quite a bit of food for sharing purposes, it was just enough! We started with the BBQ chicken sliders, with the Korean Spicy Fries and they were better than advertised. We finished up with the Kogi Taco Combo. I am SUPER DISAPPOINTED I drove all the way from the valley because Chego's website states they serve the Chego Sourcream Hen House Rice Bowl out of the Alibi Room and let me warn y'all, THEY DO NOT! Cute little mid-century modern bar in Palms on Washington. I came here with friends to celebrate and enjoyed the dim, vibey atmosphere inside. There is also a nice, well-lit seating area outside, but it was very humid pre-rainstorm and decided to stick to the indoor seating area. The music wasn't too loud which I appreciated; I did not have to scream across the couches to have a conversation with another person. I did not have anything to eat, but my boyfriend ordered the kogi sliders and seemed to enjoy them. The bartenders were friendly and the cocktails were presented very well. They have a pretty extensive list of mezcal and tequila cocktails, and I enjoyed my smoked margarita and saturn's cup. I'm not really a bar person, but I can definitely see myself revisiting if I have friends in town. read more

Came here on a semi-busy Tuesday night to visit some out of town NYC friends for the night. Chose this place since their kitchen (and bar) were one of the few in the Westside area (outside of Santa Monica or Venice) that was open so late - especially the kitchen! We ordered the Pac-man bowl and Chicken Wings to share. The wings were full wings and were a bit unwieldy to eat or even share, but the flavor was great and almost a bit overpowering. The Pac-man bowl was loaded with white rice, cheese, lettuce, BBQ pork, pork, chicken, and various K-seasonings to make this quite the hearty dish. Low key spot with incredible food. Came purely for the Kogi Tacos and got the sliders too. The fries were so good, but huge and couldn't handle the entire plate we devoured the tacos. We both got the trio of brisket, pork and chicken. So good and I will dream of these for a long time. Parking was super easy and free on the street! I recently came across this speakeasy called the alibi room that has a good fusion of Asian American dishes. I recommend the Blackened Quesadilla because of it's unique flavors. The ponzu sauce on top added a nice touch along with the quaint atmosphere. Definitely a great place to if you're looking for something low-key with good food. read more

Great spot for after work happy hour or just to come hang with friends! Came here on a Thursday night and it was not crowded. We sat on the patio tables and although it was a biiit chilly that night the staff was super accommodating and helped us move the heat lamps around. Oh pro tip you can bring your pups to the patio! Instead of chasing the trucks down on X/Twitter you can come to Alibi and sit outdoors with beers or go into Alibi and enjoy a vibey spot with great cocktails (and Kogi as well). Hands down one of my favorite places. Ever since a friend showed it to me, I've been addicted. Tuesday nights my friend and I chase down Kogi trucks. The ambiance was good they have a outdoor area that looks like a Picnic area with a picnic tables and the inside was nice, with a nice dark ambiance with Edison type light bulbs. I came to Alibi room on a Thursday night and it was PACKED. Luckily my friend staked out 2 seats for us at the bar while I looked for street parking (they have a parking lot in the back, but it was full). Finding street parking wasn't hard, I found a spot a block away. When I got to the bar, I saw a lot of people standing against walls waiting for a seat to open - so it definitely gets BUSY here. I loved the atmosphere of the bar scene. You got the sense that everyone around you was having a good time. The servers were friendly and our bartender gave great recommendations for my drink based on my taste. I ordered the Paloma with grapefruit, tequila, lime and soda--refreshing, delicious, and not too sweet! The food is from Kogi and Chego. I already knew and loved Kogi's korean mexican fusion food from frequenting their food trucks, so I decided to try the Chego portion of the menu since that was new to me (although I heard it's owned by the same guy as Kogi). I had the sour cream hen house bowl, which is A LOT of food. You can definitely save half for another meal. It's packed with flavor (SO GOOD) and had a little spicy kick so no need to add sriracha unless you like your food very spicy. Nice variety of textures with pieces of broccoli, chicken, rice, and the perfect runny fried egg on top! The pink-colored sour cream in the corner was delicious to add a little at a time to my bites, and reminded me of spicy mayo that I have with sushi. The food's a bit heavy though so come hungry. Since the place is really busy, it took a long time to flag down our server to finally get the bill. But that's not uncommon in LA's bar scene.
