Sadly...I'm adding Alice to that list and doubling down that this was, by far, the worst dining experience I had in 2024...and I say that on 12/29 knowing that even if I was served day old gas station hot dogs, it would have been better than my food and service at Alice last night. First up, you need to know that Yelp is pulling a huge Gary Busey on you - everyone who is leaving 5 star reviews has A. Never experienced actual Asian cuisine outside of Panda Express (no hate - I love me some Bejing Beef) and B. Is blonde, early 20s and thin with some sort of dream of being an influencer or needs the constant validation that they are cool. This isn't a restaurant - it's a photo op at best. The food is downright terrible, the prices are insane and the service is non-existent, at least for us normies. I'm a mom with two teenage daughters. I'm not who they want in their restaurant, and they made sure to let me know last night. While I get that, my money is as green as that Barbie clone that just walked in, ya know? My daughter is named Alice. I thought this place would be really need to take a 15 year old to (along with my 17 year old) as she loves neon signs (look at other older pics - they apparently USED TO have them everywhere), crap with her name on it and she LOVES Asian food. Now this place markets itself as "pan-Asian fusion" and I can only say this tracks if they are fusing Asian and "Sam's free sample aisle cuisine" together, as the food is just terrible. It's what I expect if Quik Trip and Race Trac decided to serve some Asian food. We were the only people there at 6pm on a Saturday evening. This is first and foremost a bar for drunk single white chicks because you'd have to be plastered to eat the food. Drinks here are outrageously priced as well at 16-18 bucks for Boone's Farm level quality. This isn't a place you want to take your mom to, your kids to, your coworkers or even your gynecologist to. It's a cramped space that's dark to hide the tears foodies have when eating here. I got a Pu Pu platter for $55. I specifically asked if it was made for three people. Shakina the waitress, who really didn't seem to like us being there (how dare we make her work at her work lol) said "absolutely." Nope. It consisted of two ribs, which were okay according to the kids as I didn't get one, three burnt meatballs, dynamite shrimp that tasted off, like maybe the mayo was bad, two of the worst greasy spring rolls cut in half and two bao buns. Trust me when I say this - there was absolutely nothing on that tray of sad food that you cannot pick up at your local Walmart and put in the air fryer and make yourself. Nothing was culinarily ok. I felt completely scammed out of $55 for food that was mostly left behind. My kiddo did ask for a shrimp tempura roll and like others noted it's completely small and absolutely nothing you can't get at the sushi counter at Kroger. The biggest shock of the night came when the bill was delivered without a word by Shakina - $100.11 for one Pu pu platter at 55.00, one 6 piece sushi roll at $19 and $20 FOR TWO SODAS. Yep. Both me and my kid got a diet coke in those small ass water glasses a bunch of you mentioned (and why serve warm water? Ice is cheap yall!) and apparently they don't disclose that it's $5 PER GLASS. PER GLASS PEOPLE FOR DIET COKE. If these were like huge movie theatre glasses, I could maybe make a case for it, but these glasses don't even hold a full can of soda, so...really? I asked about it and Shakina doubled down that that was what they charged and didn't seem the least bit apologetic. That's cool. I tipped accordingly. While I love Yelp, every one in awhile I'll find one of these places that don't deserve to still be in business. I'll take my green money to places that actually want the business and that don't have to be deceptive to get people in the door. Much like the regulars here it's just basic and fake. read more

It was weird, she stopped by frequently but would only take like half of our tables order if you were on the side that got her attention. The yellowtail was a very small portion, like even smaller than a regular sushi restaurant. Good but overpriced for what you get. The baja roll was good but just your standard roll. The calamari was yummy and crispy though! So was their rock shrimp. The pad thai was way too peanut-y. I think if you're a foodie, I wouldn't really recommend this place. For the vibes, sure. Small restaurant, not a lot of tables so definitely make reservations for popular nights. Tapas are my favorite especially with groups. We ordered one of everything. The Bao buns were standard. We also shared a small fried rice -- emphasis on that it was quite small, but tasty. We had a few drinks--wine, cocktails. Overall, the service was great. The waiters were very attentive and helped describe menu items. When we arrived, we were the only ones in the restaurant on a Thursday at 6; but by the time we left, the place was packed. I came here for dinner with a few friends on a Wednesday night. It was everyone's first time coming to Alice and will probably be our last. Overall, nothing stands out as that was the worst service or worst meal that I've had but there were several small things that would prevent me from returning with so many other great options in the area. Let's start with the good things going for this place. First, the decor is on point. The restaurant is pretty small but gives off an upscale lounge feel that you would get in nicer parts of town. At dinner time the music was at a good level that we could hear it but not too loud that we had to yell in order to have a conversation. Second, the staff were all welcoming and friendly throughout the time we were there. However, as I mentioned before, there is definitely some room for improvement. In my opinion, the actual food is the most important part of the dining experience and sadly I was not impressed with any of it. After food, I would say the overall level of service is the second most important and while our waitress was nice she wasn't really attentive and the timing of food from kitchen to table was not impressive. We ordered family style and had a variety of items, including: Pu Pu Plater, Calamari, Fried Rice, Panang Salmon, and a variety of sushi rolls. I found the appetizer platter was only deep fried food that lacked real flavor. It got mixed reviews from the rest of my friends at the table. The Panang Salmon was the most disappointing in my opinion as I ordered it "medium" but it came out well done and dry. The panang sauce that it was served with is not traditional Thai panang so that was also a bit disappointing. The sushi roles were all okay but nothing better than you would get from a Deep Sushi or Blue Fish. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant and do not plan to return. read more

Unfortunately here to write about a truly terrible experience at Alice last Saturday night (Jan 13). We made dinner reservations for my bachelorette party at 8:45 PM for a group of 10. We were not SEATED until 9:30. We were not greeted by a server until 9:45. At 10:15, we still had not received any food or drinks; shortly after we were informed that there was an issue in the kitchen and over half of the menu could no longer be prepared/cooked/served (either the fryers broke or the sprinklers were going off - not relevant). Ok, that's fine, we came for the sushi & rolls anyway. 30 minutes later we were finally served a few rolls, but not what we ordered and not enough to leave full (even sushi full). Several of us spoke with the server and manager, so everyone was aware of the situation. They gave us a round of espresso martini shots on the house (thanks, I guess, but 1 - they were terrible, 2 - we did not order / ask for / want them); we would have preferred to have our actual drinks or what little food we were served to be comped, or to have been seated on time per the reservation so our order could have been placed before the kitchen issue. I will not be returning to dine at Alice and I would caution others going in a large group or on a weekend. read more

An underwhelming dinning experience and quite honestly no desire to return. Although the our waitress (autumn ) was great , the timing of food to table from kitchen was ridiculous - specially since they are small bites. This place is not equip to handle big groups as we came in for a bday dinner on a Tuesday night at 730 as a group of 10- The food- specifically the AYCE dim sum has about 9 small plates in the menu for about $40 pp. We thought we'd get to try different things from menu - however in the 2+ hours we were there they we unable to bring us what we ordered. Instead we could get the same item over and over with 20+ mins in between and the quality getting worse and worse every time. The "crispy rice" was so hard it was like biting into a hockey puck, the spring rolls were burnt , the dumplings were undercooked and hard on the ridges. The pork ribs took over an hour to come out , the shrimp& pork dumplings never saw our tables but were "checked on" for over 2 hours. About the 2 hour mark we realized we weren't going to get the experience we had paid for and asked to speak to a manager - it took more than 2 request and over 30 mins for him to address us. Although he was defensive at first he corrected the night by taking care of our meal- but I would be doing a disservice by not sharing our experience - don't fall for the tik tok tricks this place is not it. The duck fried rice was probably the best dish we had while there. I enjoyed their cocktails and thought they were really really good. There was a clash in decor, music and food at this restaurant. I enjoyed everything individually but together it was a little strange. The restaurant feels more like a lounge/bar than it does an actually restaurant. I think it's a nice place to try out but not somewhere I'd go back pretty often. I'm giving them 4 stars because I think, separately, they do a good job. Had such a great experience at Alice. Came here for a corporate dinner while visiting Dallas and had no expectations going in. The vibe and ambiance reminded me of a hip place in NYC I'd eat at. It's an Asian fusion tapas place and the menu doesn't have any large entree dishes. We tried several things but my favorites were the dumplings, dragon roll, pad thai, sticky buns, Brussels sprouts and shrimp. Very cool place for a date or group dinner.
