I'm so mad that I haven't came here before. The pizza Roman style is so good! I got pepperoni with spicy oil. To drink a had Hugo Spritz and a Cannoli Espresso Martini
Such a great spot--this place never misses. The pizza is consistently on point, and the Philly Special is an absolute must. It's easily the best one on the menu and I order it every single time. The potato pizza was a bit dry and probably my least favorite, but the mushroom is packed with flavor and really stands out.
Awaiting a show at Miller Theater, stopped in this amazing pizza shop for a couple of lattes! Let me tell you, this place was buzzing with people ordering slices, buying cold beers out of the fridge, eating ice cream or gelato and us with coffees. This is fantastic latte.
Quick and easy pizza spot with many different options at a pay by weight counter (pizza al taglio). They also have gelato and baked goods counter. Ordering process is pretty quick at the counter and there is also sit down tables in the back and side. They reheat the pizza after you select your slice and pay. Mushroom and sausage was tasty and savory. Cheese pizza was straightforward and crispy. Reheated slices were a bit well done, so fresh pizza likely much better. Decent spot for a quick slice, thanks.

Frutti Di Bosco scoop was delicious. Not too tart or sweet. The texture was so smooth Pizza here is sold by the weight. Interesting concept. I like it. You can get a bit of many things to try.
My friend and I went here for lunch during Restaurant Week. It was $20 for 3 courses! Each course had a good selection. My friend had the Salumi Misti that had cheeses and meats. I had the Pima Bruschetta. The fig jam and ricotta paired very well. For the entree we had the Pear Salad and Ravioli. We shared both the entrees. The salad had nice fresh lettuce and lots of the pear and nuts. The entrees were a good size. Dessert was a choice of gelato or sorbet. The food was very good!! We'll be back to try the pizza! The server was very nice. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with an Italian cafe vibe.
I visited for Restaurant Week dinner, mainly for its four-course offering that included dessert with the menu selections. The atmosphere made for a great conversational setting, and we were seated promptly with active interactions with the service staff. The first two courses were both appetizer-style, and I thoroughly enjoyed my Sformato. The parmigian cheese completed the zucchini well, and it was soft to the touch and flavorful. My entree was the Carbonara Pizza, which was the favorite of the night. It was also a very large portion, so that alone I felt made the money's worth from the meal. Dessert was a Tiramisu, but I'll admit I was already feeling full at that point in the dinner. I felt the service was great, and that the meal was worthwhile--particularly to try a variety of menu items. The only drawback was that making an RSVP was a bit limited in options, since I believe it's available via direct phone calls.

Burrata and rice ball was good; wished that there was more of the burrata. The best of the meal was the pesto pasta, that was really good! All of the drinks I've tried from here have been consistently good as well as their desserts and gelato. It's hard to go wrong with any of them. The place does feel a bit tight at times when they are packed but the services have been consistently good.

My friend introduced me to this spot, and I enjoy coming here every single time. The reason why I docked a star off is because service is not that courteous here. Maybe their staff is underpaid here or some thing but the staff does not seem very helpful. I just have high expectations for a place that is often on the restaurant week list.
This place is amazing!! My office had it catered today. The pizza flavors were amazing. Every slice I had I enjoyed. All the ingredients work together so well-- even reheated. I would definitely would recommend this place. Everyone is the office was talking about how much they enjoyed it. Stelar pizza!!
One of the best pizzas I've ever had! We made reservations for 4 for 8pm on a Friday night. We had no waiting and were seated right away. I noticed that there is seating but it is limited. I noticed it is very walk in friendly for pick ups or eating at the bar area. The staff were friendly and our waiter was excellent. My husband and niece had mock-tails, the Julius. They both enjoyed it. We all ordered personal pizzas not knowing how big they were lol! Now we know 2 people can share one for sure or if everyone wants just one slice that works as well. They came right out of the oven, hot and crispy and just lovely! I had the Margherita, simply delicious. My husband got the white sauce mushroom and 4 cheese. I had some and this one it's definitely heavier but the cheese was so good! My 12 year old nephew, had a Margherita with grilled chicken on top and he said this was the best pizza he's ever had! My niece went for the white sauce Patate picante which had potatoes on it. This one was heavy for sure and was very savory with a hint of spice. We all loved them and took home what we couldn't finish. Dessert unfortunately wasn't my cup of tea here. We got 2 gelatos and I thought they were too sweet. My nephew of course loved it! lol We also ordered a mascaporne eclair and it had that old taste. The texture also wasn't giving. Finally we ordered a small raspberry chocolate cake that we took home and again wasn't really it. In conclusion I will skip dessert and will come back for the pizza because it's amazing!

Alice pizza is a quick bite/sit down restaurant and hence is the layout of the restaurant as well. Half of the restaurant is pizza (you can get pizza slices) plus dessert. The other half of the restaurant you can have appetizers, entrees, desserts, etc. You cannot order slices of pizza if you are dining on this side- you can only get a full pizza. My friend and I got the Peachtini with vodka, Reginette Genovese Pesto, Gnocchi Fritti, and Suppli Al Telefono. They were all pretty good! I will say it is definitely overhyped on social media on how good the food is. Still a pretty good place to check dine at. For dessert we tried the Strawberry Ricotta Cheesecake and Sfogliatelle. I like the Sfogliatelle better than the cheesecake. Service was adequate- lots of mess up with the bill where they overcharged us for the drink. I'm glad we caught the error. The servers fixed it promptly though. read more

The owners are from Italy and take you right back to Rome at Alice Pizza. We had the Fungi Four Cheese Puzza and the cheese plate. Both were delicious! Skip the chains! read more

Staff is friendly. Inside is nice but definitely more functional than aesthetic per se. Having a dine in area and a cafe/take out area in the small space they have helps them make the most profit. I don't personally know how their entrees are but their pizza is delicious. Thin but flavorful and artisan. Rione was better to me but Rione is no longer around. Alice is great to still have around. Rize in Broomall and West Chester, while no competition for Alice, is also artisan and tends to be slightly greasier. Maybe I like Rize more because of its grease partially :/ but Alice holds its own. The TooGoodToGo is very hard to get but nice to see a pic of. You get random pieces cold and you are even asked if you have any food needs which they are not obligated to ask you. The drink options have a good variety. Pear was refreshing albeit typically small quantity and the chino was a typical bittersweet orange flavored soft drink. I liked it even though it is an Italian standard that I had never seen or noticed before. read more
This place is such a gem! The food is fresh and incredible, and the staff was super friendly. The restaurant is really cute and there were plenty of seats. I got the Suppli Al Telefono, Gnocci Fritti, and Fior Di Latte Mozzerella and would order all of it again! I also had the Aperol Spritz. Everything was incredible and I can't wait to go back! I also have to say this is one of the most reasonably priced, quality Italian restaurants I have been to in the city. I would highly recommend checking this one out! read more

We got the Salsiccia e Funghi pizza (full tray) and the Bresaola salad. The pizza came out steaming hot from the oven and was immediately served to us. The crust was light and extremely crispy. I've never had Roman pizza before but if this is what pizza tastes like in Rome, then take me to Rome! The sausage on the pizza was a bit on the saltier side for me but it might be perfect for some people. The Bresaola salad has one of the best dressings I have tasted! It is a lemon vinaigrette and if you take a complete bite with the arugula, the thinly sliced beef tenderloin, the shaved parmesan cheese, and the cherry tomatoes, the flavors are balanced perfectly (sweet, salty, tangy, savory, and bitter). We got the full tray and it ended up being 24 squares of pizza that filled up 2 large boxes. Wow!!! It is definitely a bit on the pricier side since 1 square is not equivalent to a traditional slice of American pizza but if you want to take a trip to flavor town, then I suggest you giving their pizzas a try! Instead of ordering half tray or full tray, you also have the option to order individual slices by weight. Ordering by weight isn't freshly baked but they can warm it up for you. There is counter seating that is open seating where you are free to seat yourself or you can grab a seat with the wait staff for full service. I went in at around 1:30 on a Monday afternoon and while there weren't anybody sitting in the counter seating, the main dining room was bustling with people. There were also constantly people coming in to order to-go from the counter. They are definitely a popular pick for a delicious lunch. I read on their website that Alice Pizza was first created in Rome about 30 years ago. They have over 100 locations in Italy and this is their first and only location in the US. Being the first pizza chain in Italy, I'm glad that they have expanded to Philly and brought over their delicious and authentic Roman pizzas! read more

I can't remember the last time I had Roman style pizza but after having pizza at Alice, I'm now wondering why I don't get it more often! Alice sells pizza by the weight so you control how big of a slice you want. They also have a small restaurant area if you are looking for a proper dine-in experience. The pizza crust at Alice is incredibly crispy, light and airy - everything I look for in a good pizza crust. The pizza here reminds me of an airy, thin focaccia with toppings. I tried the spicy tomato, sausage and mushrooms, zucchini and cheese, pepperoni, and pachino e bufala. My favorite was hands down the spicy tomato. It's so simple but so fresh and full of flavor. The zucchini pizza was my second favorite. I wouldn't get the pepperoni or sausage again because I found them to be too dry and overall uninteresting. Alice has definitely won me over at first impression and I would say it's one of the top 3 pizza restaurants in Philly for me personally. The cherry on top was ending the meal with authentic pistachio gelato from Gran Caffe L'aquila sold at the front of the shop. I can't wait to come back. read more

This place is amazing! My husband got a prosciutto slice and I got a salad pizza slice. Customer service is excellent. The place is clean. We also got gelato after which was wonderful. They have a lot of choices of pizza and gelato to choose from. If I lived here, I would definitely be going to this place weekly. It's that good. read more

This is such a cool place. It's a cafe, bar, pizza shop and they have gelato. The ambiance here was very unique but I loved it. I walked by. I was staying in the area, and I say all of their gelato options from the window. I had to stop in. I'm so glad I did. Their drinks and pizza looked amazing, but I only tried their chocolate gelato. I'd love to come back here again to try more of their food and drink options! read more

Has a shop and restaurant inside. They sell pizza, gelato, & desserts. Pizza is sold in any size. A whole pizza pie is $44 and should be ordered ahead of time (~30mins) prior to pick up as they make it fresh. Individual slices are sold by the weight. There are complimentary seats by the shop if you want to eat in. Unfortunately, they didn't heat my slice enough so it was only warm and the crust wasn't as toasted. The lady who sold to me wasn't too personable. As for my pizza, it was ok. And they don't sample the gelato. Please note: Does not take mobile pay. Only cash or card. This was our first visit to Alice Pizza for Restaurant Week, $40 dinner 4 course meal. The space itself is cute - gave me Italy cafe vibes, not fancy - but a cute local spot for good no fuss Italian, to-go slices, and a small bar with a handful of seats on one side. For $40, overall our entire party felt that the price was fair in today's climate - and the food, quality and service all met its marks. I started off with the burrata con tartufo, and as soon as you bring the toast to your mouth for a bite - the aroma of the truffle hits your nose before it even hits your palate. This was the perfect little appetizer. My next course was the gnocchi fritti, and the gnocchi on the inside was very tender and pillowy - I'd honestly be curious to try the gnocchi as is, before being flash fried. The cheese sauce that comes with was rich, cheesy and creamy. The chicken marsala portion was very generous, large pasta portion and 2 thinly pounded chicken breasts. The mushrooms were delicious, good marsala sauce - and I had enough to bring home a portion of pasta and a whole breast to act as my lunch next day. Lastly, I ended my meal with sfogliatelle - and the first thing I said was " LOOK AT THAT LAMINATION" - beautifully flakey, and the vanilla gelato on top just made the dessert. Overall a wonderful meal, I wouldn't hesitate to stop by for dinner again - or even to try a handful of all the slices to go that they have! We stopped for dinner after going to the musical Beetlejuice down the street. We made reservations online and we even got to pick the table. It is a little tight but the service makes up for it. The hostess sat us was very accommodating and our waiter (Donny) he was the best. We each ordered personal pizzas, The Wife had the spicy sausage, and I had the one with potato's. Both are very good. We also had their version of a Cesar salad and it's phenomenal. But the gelato is so good it's not of this world. I had a the milk chocolate one (incredible.) The wife had the cannoli and said it was excellent. We strongly recommend!!! read more

Is this a good place to go before a show at the Kimmel Center?
Yes, absolutely before or after! It's literally 2 blocks from the front entrance of the Kimmel and is a great place to go with a group so you can share the pizzas.
Is reservation required for a table?
At least for a weeknight, we walked in without a reservation
