Another lost and hard to find Glens Falls gem! A vegetarian wet dream with carnivore options, Alif Cafe is Pakistani Street food at its best! Chicken was easily the most tender I've ever had in a Restaurant, with great portion sizes. Service is quick, takeout available. Coffee is next level!!! A must try.

It's fine. Just fine. It's not bad. It's not amazing. The food is made to order. I guess it's OK. The place is weirdly lit. There are semi-comfortable chairs around utilitarian tables. They're fine. I suppose you could take kids here. You order at the counter, pay first, and then go find a place to sit. In about 15-20 minutes they bring your food to the table. The drinks (Gatorade, iced tea) are in a cooler next to the register. They ask for the tip before they bring your food, and no one checks on you to see if you need anything or if you liked it. It's fine though. Just fine. You can leave your plate on the table when you leave. It's like a takeout place but they let you eat it inside if you're so inclined. The rice tasted and had the consistency of clumpy Uncle Ben's 90-second bag rice. It's fine. Just fine. The chicken in the butter chicken dinner was over cooked and dry, but not bad. The sauce was delicious but the rest of the dish..... meh. It's fine. Just fine. It's not expensive: $12-16 for a dish of food. Here's the deal: go here. You will not be amazed at the quality, the service, the ambience, the decor, the staff.... But DO try it. You might say "Turns out I kinda like Glens Falls' boring interpretation of Indian food". Don't go here for a first date or with picky kids. Don't go here with a large group. Just go with one or two other people to TRY it. You'll be fine. Just fine.

Cool environment great simple food In a great spot in Glenn's falls across for downtown social

It was an ok experience .. had some food and masala chai. Was a lil expensive but atleast we got some Desi food and drink. Chai had a lil more masala.. wasn't the same as in NJ or Edison, but ok for the location . Parking is a problem in peak seasons.. liked the overal visit though ..

Great espresso! Had it on 2 occasions when I was here vacationing. First day the espresso was 5 star second day 4 star. Still very good but not as much flavor, could have been a variation in the process but overall delicious and the customer service was great. They also have hand rolled ice cream! A definite must try. It's located on the right side of the street across from the steam boat.

Stopped by this cute cafe while strolling Lake George. Ordered the Cold Masala Chai and it had the perfect amount of tea. Saud, the owner, was super friendly and explained all his teas to us. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Ho hum food. Order at counter, pick up your food. Limited menu - nothing I or my family had was seasoned well.

Ordered chais and a few from the savory menu. Amazing aroma and spices. No place to sit - take and go. Service was extremely slow.

I ordered a breakfast sammy, Mimi's reuben, a side of potato salad, and a large love-a-cado salad with balsamic dressing. It still blows my mind that everything served here is vegan as it is so so delish. Lastly I decided spur of the moment to grab a few of their baked goodies to go. To be honest I have never been tempted to try their sweets as it appears ordinary and not very moist looking. Boy was I so so wrong. The cookies, the cinnamon bun etc were all so so yummy. I will always get their sweets whenever I stop in. All their personal faves on recommendation were spot on! You really can't go wrong with whatever you get here!

My hubby is originally from the Bronx and myself Yonkers, we didn't have high expectations based on the other Italian restaurants we've tried in the area. We are snobs when it comes to Italian food, I won't apologize. Well we hit the jackpot! Split the eggplant Napoleon appetizer-fantastic! That let me know the marinara was on-point. Caesar salad, again, dressed right and delicious. I went with the baked ravioli w/ a side of meatballs (I always judge 1st visit by sauce & meatballs). Hubby had the chicken Sorrentino, which the gravy it comes in was AMAZING! Thank you for knowing chicken cutlets should be pounded thin! Plus hubby had the homemade rotini pasta as his side, spot on! I had mini cannoli and hubby had the tiramisu. Both a perfect ending. Thank goodness we had no breakfast or lunch because we feasted like pigs! We will be back, and frequently at that! Ralph (who I think may be an owner) was super nice and treats everyone like family, I picked up his Queens accent immediately which made me immediately hopeful for good Italian and the entire staff did not disappoint. The place is small, but we got there just shy of 5pm on Saturday so we were lucky to get a walk-in/no reservation table. Lots of people then started to pile in both for tables and also carry-out. I can't wait for Fall when they do "Sunday sauce" (obviously on Sundays-duh)! If you know, you know what that means. All the meats! Run, don't walk, to Buono Notte! I would actually take "Cafe & Catering" out of the name because it detracts from the fact it's a fine dining Italian Restaurant!
