Previously came in and took the gram out for lunch. We ordered the stuffed grape leaves, the hummus, and the Egyptian falafel wrap, all very flavorful. We left full, satisfied, and she made the comment that we should come back sometime. This time, I had the phone with me, so I made a point to take a few pictures to post, although it was a light lunch. The service, ambiance, and dining experience is all on point. The food is tasty! This is a great choice if you want to try Middle Eastern food. The disappointing part was the service and the time for the food to come out. It is not good to wait over half an hour for drinks and appetizers, and an additional 30 min for shawarma. It should be their priority to improve it. Also, it was weird when the first waitress took an order, and then 2 other ones came to take an order in 5 min intervals. Anyway, it is my recommendation to come and try the food here. read more

We had great service and delicious Mediterranean dishes. We understand the selections are a fusion of Egyptian and Lebanese. The ambiance is simple but nice. It's small so we were smart to have a reservation. There was a selection of interesting cocktails, wine, beer, sodas, Saratoga Water, and cider. Owner was a former engineer who ditched her field to pursue her passion in the restaurant business. This is her native cuisine and her passion, and the flavor and texture of each dish really showcases her passion for what she does. She is bright, passionate, hard working, and incredibly talented. Oh my god this is my new favorite restaurant in Saratoga... The Mezze Board was divine. The Hallumi Cheese was to die for. Cocktails and mocktails were perfect. A small jewel of a restaurant, small, artfully designed space with absolutely delicious Mediterranean food. The grape leaves were the best I've ever had, beautifully presented with pomegranate seeds. Everything was outstanding and made in house, we enjoyed the mezze board with house made pita, shawarma, and lamb. Sara is a charming and warm host, we very much enjoyed our night out and will be back to try the delicious sounding drinks and maybe leave room for dessert. read more

Delicious find in Saratoga Springs! The owner is Egyptian and offers a Levantine menu, with an American twist! We had the Turkish Coffee Martini it was so yummy. The food was 10/10 Service 10/10 Ambience 9/10 only because of the bees but that's not the fault of the restaurant, they were every where and decided to sit outside anyways. Only complaint is the 20% service charge added, it really takes away from the tip we would have left, but we assume all of the restaurants in the area do the same. read more

Trying to be objective and some less then a positive review. I can't. We walked around for about 30 min trying to find a place to eat. Looked at menus and even set down in one place and left. We are in Saratoga and we want excellent food and maybe something different. Then we see Sara's Place. Definitely different from the type of restaurants we are used to visiting. The look, the smell and the look on the patrons faces made it easy to be seated by Sara. Sara is personable, friendly and took the time explaining the dishes and answer any questions. We ordered a few things and if I say it was great, it would be an understatement. All of the food was fantastic. Talked about it a few times on our 5 hr drive home and told family and friends. We will be back in Saatoga again and we will be eating at Sara's Kitchen. Just wish we were closer. Would be my regular place. I think everyone should experience eating at Sara's. read more

Not your routine gyro place! Sara's chicken shawarma stands apart with a warm-spice flavor profile and interesting ingredients including crispy potato bits and a mysterious middle-eastern pickle. Tabbouleh had pomegranate seeds (vs tomato, which is also available) and a touch of honey. I had tried other Sara's products at the home a friend who is a big fan and everything is equally good and out of the ordinary. The little shop on Broadway is almost done with its growing pains (the customer in front of me had a problem with her order, but mine was ready as requested in two minutes) and is a beautiful place to dine in with inviting green cushions and a gentle soundtrack. All I can say is this establishment has great ambience, service, and taste. It's a great addition to Saratoga as it hits its one year marker. The servicer was proactive as they checked for any questions or food allergies. You wont be disappointed and parking is easy in the lot right around the corner. The waitress, owner, and staff are so considerate. The food was fresh, authentic, and yummy. We had lots of seasoned fries, a delicious falafel wrap, a salad, and our friend enjoyed a chicken wrap. If you're looking for something different and good; this restaurant should be on your list. Tourists and locals welcome. Also, at the end of our meal, my mom felt unwell from low blood pressure issues and the staff encouraged her to rest and provided words of encouragement for an extra hour after closing. I first tried Sara's Kitchen at the Sunday farmers market and have been meaning to hit them up at their new Wilton mall location. Finally got there this week since I loved what I had at the farmers market! Shawarma wraps are great; the chicken has potatoes (French fries) which add an interesting texture and flavor while the beef is mostly meat (no added taters). Tasty seasoning and just the right amount of sauce on both. I have also sampled the hummus, pita chips and baklava...all terrific. Sara is super friendly and passionate about her product (met her at the farmers market). The staff at the mall were friendly and helpful. Since it's made to order, prepare to wait a few minutes for the wraps. It's SO nice to have really good Middle Eastern fare close by. I was vacationing in Saratoga Springs and somehow ended up here. This was one of the most memorable dining experiences I've had. The food is outstanding (and everything is handmade, from the perfect pita bread to the best hummus I've ever eaten in our lives, to the outstanding main courses and desserts). Best restaurant experience I've had in a while. Went around 2pm lunch time with my family of 6 people and were seated immediately. Atmosphere is very comfortable and calming. The owner, Sara, came over to our table and introduced herself and her story. Very kind and personable. We enjoyed our conversations with her as much as we enjoyed our food. With food this delicious, she is truly successful as a restauranteur. For our meal we ordered the kofta kebab, the stuffed grape leaves, 2 orders of the baba ganoush, 2 orders of hummus, and 2 orders of tabbouleh salad with fresh pita bread and delicious pita chips. For our drinks, we ordered limonnana and iced hibiscus tea. Everything was delicious and seasoned to perfection. As an Armenian, I have been served tabbouleh and baba ganoush for years without particularly liking either of them. One visit at Sara's Kitchen changed that and I could not get enough of either! Super fresh and addictively delicious. Halloumi and baklawa were given to us on the house as well. It's a shame we live in the boroughs and not in Saratoga springs or else this would be a regular spot for us. Will definitely be checking in when in the area! A must visit for sure! read more

Visiting Saratoga Springs from NYC and stopped by Sara's for a late, last minute dinner. We love middle eastern food and were excited to try this. Firstly, we were seated without a reservation. The ambiance is relaxing and it was clear the owner strives to create an environment where you feel like you're eating in someone's home, which we appreciated. I had a beer and he had a mint tea -- both lovely. I recommend the mezze spread as a starter, particularly if middle eastern cuisine is new to you, so you can try a sampling of dips. Standing ovation for the muhammra and hummus. Seriously was some of the best hummus I've ever had. My ONLY critique of the meal is I think we needed two more pieces of pita. We ran out pretty quickly and still had more dip to eat! We split a shish tawok entree. The chicken was perfect and vegetables perfectly charred. I may pick up some rice and hummus to bring home with us at the end of our weekend haha. We took some Turkish coffee and baklava to go and we left "fat and happy." Thank you Sara! A trip is made of good and bad experiences: In my case, I enjoyed the motorcycle ride to Saratoga, I did not enjoy the crazy drivers on the road...but that bad experience was offset by good food. Went here last Friday. We had the hammouli appetizer (fried cheese), the chicken schwarma, and shish tawok (skewered chicken and vegetables with rice). All of it was interesting and excellent. 1pm. Lunch took a full hour to reach us with the restaurant only 1/3 full. Excuse was a cook called in sick. Fair enough. But! They didn't tell us until after an hour despite us asking several times what the hold-up was. 2. We were given the wrong menu, ordered from it, then 10 minutes later got "the new menu" and ordered off that. 3. At that point a glass of wine and a beer then took 15 minutes with us asking for it twice. 4. No free glass of wine or hummus and pita or anything to appease us. 5. Nothing taken off the check. The food was mediocre - a hot lamb stew inside cold hummus. Basically a poorly trained wait staff, a restaurant that had no idea how to handle the situation and no attempt to try and fix things (see # 4 and 5 above). That's how you run a restaurant folks - every place has issues (staff) from time to time but you MAKE UP FOR IT, and bend over backwards to do so. read more
