Alira Med-Spa and Salon is amazing! I have been there 3 times so far and I am so happy there. My first visit was for a free laser hair removal session and it was a wonderful experience! I was expecting a pressuring sales pitch and there was no sales pitch! I couldn't believe that there were really no strings attached to their offer! This had a big impact on my decision to purchase a laser hair removal package with them. The spa is set up beautifully with a relaxing atmosphere. There is great availability with scheduling appointments and I am always taken in on time when I arrive. Escarle, the owner, has been my technician and she is friendly and professional. She explained the difference between laser machines and I have realized that the machines that were used on me in other spas were far less superior to the one she has. I have seen impressive results even after one session! At my most recent session she touched up other body parts of mine for free! I am so grateful that I have found this place! This spa is absolutely astounding! Staff is extraordinarily welcoming, professional and attentive. I had some things done there, my haircut is always done by Mariel, she is amazing with the scissors, best of the best, always recommending new style. For my massage which was like a soul healing experience and and my facial which had me looking a few years younger, Escarle is the most impressive and professional about this, she is always on top of her game, by the way she is always busy but she makes time for all her clients, her knowledge is very impressive. Krystal, also she is amazing with facials, she follows the same school of Escarle, both of them make you feel in Heaven. Last, but not least Jesus, give the best massages, very professional, you might fall sleep with the facial and massages. This staff is AMAZING! It saddens me to see the bad reviews as Alira is anything but bad. I started off at Alira with a groupon and I've been back ever since... I think 3 yrs now. The ambiance is very relaxing, the staff are all friendly and very knowledgable with the services the spa provides. Jeremiah is awesome. You don't find many places left where owners are actually involved in their business, however Escarle is very intouch with not only her business but the clientel. She's great at what she does - Her whole team is fantastic! They offer many services, so if you aren't sure just ask them. I promise you they will not suggest the most expensive thing just to make money. They will make suggestions based on your questionairre and details YOU provide them. I personally, LOVE their honesty. The only downfall is the parking, but lets be real... parking has NO Relevance to the level of awesome services they provide. read more

I must start by saying that I am not a spa kind of girl. I never want to spend a lot of money on myself. Spending a day at Alira really made me change my mind! It is a beautiful and relaxing place -- from everything to the music, to the soft robe, to the lovely drinks, to the friendly staff. I had an amazing massage that made me feel so good, I wish I could do one every week! I also had a facial that made my skin glow and feel really healthy. The final bit of pampering came from Jeremiah, who colored and cut my hair. It was one of the best cuts I've had in years! It looked fabulous! This salon is definitely one of the best ones I have been to. It has a very welcoming and non-intimidating feel and I was immediately at ease as soon as I walked in the door. Jeremiah took care of me during this visit and he was absolutely spectacular. I came in for a facial and I could tell that I was in great hands. He made sure to talk me through the process and the advantages and disadvantages of the different procedures. Not once did I feel coerced into anything, he just made sure that I had all the information necessary to make my own decision, one that I was comfortable with. At middle-age, results are hard to come by! I have found that with routine micro-pen treatments and facials.....good-bye wrinkles. Recent facial: Penetrating heat technique was SOOO relaxing. The additional pampering of neck/shoulders/foot (with hot stones) left me in alpha state relaxation. I am chemically-sensitive, so Escarle is careful to use products that are safe for me. The micro-pen is a bit tough. (At my age, perhaps no pain/no gain??) But the results are worth it! Fine lines on upper lip and around my eyes are noticeably diminished. I am enjoying a smoother skin texture. I would be remiss if I did not mention Escarle's professionalism and warm/upbeat personality. It all adds up to 5-stars for Alira Spa. read more

I have no idea how Escarle makes having someone plaster your face with goo and extract your pores feel like a relaxing experience, especially for someone who is mildly claustrophobic like I am. But somehow she left me relaxed and refreshed with amazing skin, and ready for The Best Massage Ever with Iveth. There are plenty of spas in Houston, many of which can be snobby, product-pushing, and somewhat shaming experiences. This one does exactly what a spa should do-leave you feeling relaxed, pampered and BETTER about yourself. I came here recently for a facial, and I was very much pleased with every aspect of the experience. The customer service was top notch from the moment that I entered the facility. Escarle is extremely knowledgeable and full of great energy. She made me feel so beautiful and so happy during my treatment, and I can't even tell you how amazing my skin looked afterwards. I have recently gone to Alira spa for a few services. TOP NOTCH this place is, and everyone is so nice. I felt very comfortable and welcomed to be a customer there, I just felt they appreciated me! It was super professional, but with a "welcome home" type feeling.I was greeted with so much positivity. My experience at Alira Spa was the best in Houston so far, went to have a facial at first, I was very please to finally find a place where in Houston where they new about doing proper extractions, having an oily skin is a challenge when it comes to black heads and it can be painful. This spa is amazing! The atmosphere is perfect...soft robes, comfy slippers, hot tea, citrus water, mimosas, soft lighting. Add to that the very talented staff and an owner who cares about her clients, and this place can't be beat. I needed a spa treatment before attending an upcoming wedding. Fortunately the receptionist at Alira Med was able to get me in quickly. The facility is quite nice and clean. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely friendly and attentive which helped set the right mood for my visit. The aesthetician took her time to explain the procedure for the facial and wax job I had booked and frequently checked in on me to make sure that I was doing ok. My husband and I are from out of town, and recently went here for a couples massage. The atmosphere was relaxing and beautifully decorated, and the staff was very professional and attentive to our needs. The massage itself was amazing. Afterwards, we were able to relax in our robes by a fire, where we were treated to a glass of wine and a mimosa. It was a nice touch and great way to relax together after the massage.
