Over 8 years our youngest son was born and went to the NICU at UAMS. During his stay there, my husband took our older two boys (at the time 6 and 3 years old) to All-Aboard. They LOVED it and have shared with their little brother every time we go to Little Rock about this place that delivers food to your table via toy train. We were able to take him yesterday. And again, the two older ones enjoyed it as well! I have to say the employees were very kind and helpful. It was very clean. The food was very good! It was a really sweet experience!

This place is a lot of fun amd pretty good food, too. I asked ChatGPT to help me plan a road trip for my family and it recommended this place. Turned out to be great advice! The food was really good, not amazing, but better than expected for the low cost. It really felt like a diner where you pay at a counter and then find your own seat. Surprisingly, it wasnt as loud as other restaurants are with that many people there. The train delivery is quite entertaining. If we are ever in Little Rock again, we will go again.

We came here on a total whim by kind of blindly picking a place off a list from the Internet. I honestly would never have chosen this place, but I'm so glad we came. This is an unassuming little spot at the end of a strip mall on a fairly busy road. Inside there are two long aisles of booths, and each side of the restaurant has a whole train apparatus that runs around just below the ceiling and actually delivers your food! It drops your food onto a platform above your table, and the platform lowers down to your table and raises back up after you grab your order. It's a fun novelty! You order at the counter and choose your seat after, then the train finds you based on the little pager you're given at the counter. The staff there was super nice. There was only one counter, so as it was starting to get busy, the line looked like it was moving very slowly. Thankfully we beat the crowd and only had to wait for one person in front of us, but did note that it took awhile to order.  This was clearly a very popular place for kids given the amount of children in here with their parents, but we enjoyed it equally as a group of adults. They have a pretty large menu of burgers, baskets (chicken, catfish, etc), wings, pita wraps, salads. I was so tempted by the fried catfish basket, but I've been lacking on my vegetables lately and needed to be healthy, so I opted for the baby spinach and strawberry salad. Really anything with goat cheese is the easiest way to my food heart. This is a pretty casual place with a bit of a diner vibe, so I didn't expect my salad to be super great or fancy, just good. But it was one of the best salads I'd had in a long time. It had yummy fresh cut strawberries, quality baby spinach, slivered almonds, ample goat cheese, and the poppy seed dressing complemented it SO well. I added grilled chicken to it, and the chicken was really good, too. I ate a strip of the chicken before I got silverware, and I would totally eat that as a snack it was that yummy. I gobbled the entire salad up and was actually quite full afterwards. Consensus from the group was that their food was really great (burgers and fruit, mostly, in people's order) and rose well above everyone's expectations. So, this might never have been on your list to visit, but you can't judge a book by its cover and I certainly recommend checking it out. Especially if you have kids with you!

Train drops off your food. Really Neat place.

Great experience! Friendly workers at an adorable restaurant. Food was good. We had chicken tenders and a burger

Stopped in on a cross country road trip. Thought the kids would love the train delivery....they did. And to my surprise, the food was really great too. Had the chicken buffalo strips and also tried my wife's fish. The wait staff (blonde guy) and kitchen staff were also friendly and helpful. A+ all around

What a fun place. We were like kids watching the train carry our food around the tracks to drop off the food. Service and food were good. The catfish, coleslaw, and hush puppies were all tasty. The place is in a nondescript strip shopping center and hidden in a corner. Don't bypass it; it's worth the search.

The shrimp and grits definitely lived up to its hype! I ordered the half order of shrimp and grits, the grits were perfectly made and also came with six of the most juiciest shrimps. The only thing that I would change about this dish is to either make it slightly cheaper, because it was pretty pricey for the small amount of food that you get, or there should be a little bit more grits. Other than that, the meal was great. The waitress that I had was very attentive and professional, she helped me with everything that I needed and was timely when it came to placing the order and serving food. The restaurant is in an easily located place with complimentary parking right across the street.

Funny, but right next door is a place that bills itself as great Cajun/Creole food, but the menu here easily showed itself as a great, if not better, option. We just stopped in for drinks, which they have an abundance of specialty cocktails that appear to change frequently on the blackboard, and really enjoyed them. So we wound up chatting with the friendly barkeep about the menu. He encouraged us to try the crab dip, and oh my, we are so glad he did! It is a very rich appetizer, but absolutely one of the best we've ever had. We are sorry that we had other commitments the evening we swung by, because as we saw other diners meals arriving, we knew we were missing something special. Next time for sure!!!

Because of the great experience I had at lunch, I decided to take my wife there on Thursday night for dinner. Let me be clear: Dinner was a hit! I will start with the Atmosphere. I will be honest, the atmosphere is nice enough. The place is clean for sure. It is not as comfortable a place as some and is reminiscent of many restaurants I have been to. By that I mean, it is almost formulaic in it's set up. Nothing about it is unique or screams Arkansas or Little Rock to me. That is OK, I just want to be clear about the ambiance of the place. I still would give it a four out of five stars on ambiance. That said, it only gets better from here! For starters, we shared the fried green tomatoes with shrimp appetizer, and it was superb! As good as any you will find in NOLA and definitely the best in Arkansas. I highly recommend. For our main courses, my wife had the bacon wrapped filet and I had the rib-eye. We had never tried Samantha's steaks before and I hate to think what all we have been missing because our steaks were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. We shared a side of cheese grits and couldn't had a better meal! For our dessert, we shared a slice of their key lime pie, and again, it was wonderful. A strong five star rating for the food here at Samantha's for sure. As good as the food was, our server Taylor was about the best I have seen in Little Rock since the days of Ashley's at the Capitol hotel. Every dish we ordered that I just described was a recommendation from Taylor. I love it when someone knows their stuff and she was super knowledgeable, with just the right amount of tending to us. Not too much looking over our shoulder every two minutes, but always there when we needed her. Samantha's is lucky to have her on their team. Another strong five star rating regarding service. Can't wait to go back. I feel like they are hitting their stride at Samantha's!

I ordered a fried green tomatoes appetizer and Tom Yum grilled shrimp entree w/ a cucumber onion salad side. The app presentation was as expected garnished and dressed with roumalade. The finished quality was sub par. The tomatoes edges were good but the center was so thick it was crunchy, 4 slices $16. The entrées are solo yet there is an expectation of an elegant presentation. Nope...two undressed, ungarnished skewers of dry shrimp on a plate for $19. That's it, that's all. The best item of the meal was the marinated 2 ingredient "salad" which was... sweet & savory $12. Lastly, what ended up being a "concept" of key lime pie. Presentation glorious, a dinner sized plate decorated with swirls and a decent size helping of a sweet item. This was what looked like an inch of cake crumbs that were recycled by pressing into a form with a 1/4 inch thin layer of key lime custard over top. $9

My wife also had a couple of cocktails and a few glasses of wine. There was a lot that we enjoyed. The oysters and scallops were fantastic, and both desserts were excellent. The bread and butter were also very good. My wife thought the wine selection was excellent as well. Unfortunately, there were a few things that kept the experience from being as good as it could have been. The biggest disappointment was the duck breast. The flavor was good, but the fat wasn't rendered properly and the skin wasn't crispy. The result was a chewy, rubbery texture that made the dish difficult to enjoy. My wife's walleye was cooked well, but the blueberry sauce was so strong that it overwhelmed much of the fish's flavor. The cocktails were okay--certainly drinkable, but not a standout. We also found a plastic bread bag tie in my wife's salad. We pointed it out to our waiter, who removed it from the table, but there was no apology, explanation, replacement salad, or any acknowledgment beyond taking it away. Finding a foreign object in your food is unfortunate; having it essentially ignored was disappointing. One other thing we noticed was that the sides felt like an afterthought. Both entrées came with the same carrots and Brussels sprouts. They were fine, but nothing particularly memorable, and serving the exact same sides with very different dishes made the entrées feel less thoughtfully composed. The service was generally good, although somewhat slow. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, but he also didn't seem especially familiar with the menu at times. Overall, this was a mixed experience, especially with a price tag north of $300. The appetizers, desserts, and wine were the highlights of the evening. There were moments where the meal was genuinely excellent, but the issues with both entrées, the uninspired sides, and the lack of response to finding a bread tie in the salad kept it from feeling like the special anniversary dinner we had hoped for.
