This place is great. I went there on short notice and asked if they could get done in one day they did.

2 Days after shipping a car to someone in Gresham, the engine died, much to my horror. I looked for the closest car repair shop that had good yelp reviews and was fortunate enough to identify All About Automotive. I had the car towed there (by their recommended towing company), and they meticulously investigated the cause of the problem. Unfortunately, the engine had seized and was unrecoverable. However, fortunately, the manager took the initiative to research problems with that engine and found that there was a recall on it due to chronic problems. So, by the time she called to give me the "bad" news, she had already contacted the dealer to find that they would replace the engine under warranty if I just get it over to the dealer. The diagnosis that they spent time on cost less than the original quote, the towing company they recommended left the bill with All About Automotive, so I only had 1 bill to take care of before towing the car to the dealer for a brand new engine. They were pleasant, professional and very helpful, especially since I was not local so had to do everything by phone. I would DEFINITELY recommend them for technical competence, integrity and customer satisfaction. read more

I got a quote for my a/c for $65 to look at it and I was told it wouldn't cost extra if it were just to be recharged. When I got the call to get approval for working on a/c they told me that it was just a recharge and that it would be for $65. I miss understood the price apparently they had told me $465 so I was a bit shocked and not only that it would have costed $515 altogether until I told them I was told $65. Anyways they brought it down to $465 for me but they said they would email me the quotes instead. They did a good job and I got my a/c back. read more

I've been bringing all the cars in my family to All About Automotive for years. Trust is an issue when it comes to cars and I've found I can trust this place. Here's one example that sold me: I brought my wife's Ford in after the local dealership was unable to repair it and charged me $1,500.00 for nothing. I left the car with All About Automotive overnight for inspection to see if it was salvagable. When I came in, the owner was in the garage with the mechanic talking about my wife's car. They didn't know I was there in the lobby. The mechanic was agitated and commenting on the poor job done at the dealership. He said that not only had the dealership not fixed the problem, but had caused more. When the owner came in the lobby, he had no idea I had overheard the conversation. He was very diplomatic and said it was a tough problem and he could see how the dealership had missed it. All About Automotive not only fixed my wife's car, but negotiated with the Ford dealership to get some of my money back. read more

We were searching for a new mechanic after a few, less than happy experiences with others in the area. My husband found All About Automotive online and after reading the reviews and they're Facebook page, we decided to give them a try. Being as I take the cars in the most if work needs to be done, being female I tend to get the "you don't know anything" attitude from some. Not happening here! Steve asked me specific question when I mentioned there was an issue with my brakes. He told me what it would be and why and showed me how they measure brake pads when it comes to describing things to the customer. When he called me to let me know how the oil change and inspection when, we talked for 20 minutes (probably the longest I've ever talked with a owner/tech ever and probably the most candid!! Steve is so easy to like) describing everything that needed to be done, why, and making me feel like I was not just imagining the issues with my brakes and went into full detail why I was feeling what I felt (which was not as bad as I was expecting). He even asked me where I had serviced the car before to get to know us and our habits and what has already been done. No other mechanic in the area has every asked this. My husband and I went and picked up my car after the work was done (adjustment of brakes, fluid change, and fuel filter) got a blow by blow of what was done and needed to be done by his wife (I do my research :)) And was happy to say for the first time in 2 months since the issues started, I can drive my car with confidence that I will stop when needed! And I felt like my concerns were totally addressed and I wasn't just imagining the issues. Totally personable staff, they are caring, they care about YOU driving the car they work on and you're not just a # like at some places or dealerships. We will definitely be getting any work done at this shop. I'm a big believer in doing things local if the people doing it really care and AAA definitely does!!! I even told my mother-in-law who is a local insurance agent and she said will definitely be sending work their way! read more

I dropped by last week to have my car looked at and have a couple of other needed repairs preformed, however they were busy. So I made a appointment for the following week. Today one week later, I received a phone at the end of the day telling me that they again were swamped with people just bringing there cars in to there shop and want me to schedule another appointment. I had made arranged and changed my work schedule to drop of my vehicle and this how they treat a repeat customer after dropping 2k in repairs. What is the point in making an appointment then when they don't keep then? Are repeat customers less important now? This is poor customer service! read more

This place was a life saver after my car broke down on the highway on Christmas day. They have a very convenient key drop so you can leave your car after hours. They called me first thing in the morning the next day and had price quotes done early afternoon. They were so detailed and patient with my many questions and concerns. A+ for customer service. I had another problem arise, unrelated to the original problem for which my car was there for, but I did not get that feeling that you may get other shops that they were just trying to get you for all your worth. I felt they did only what they needed and gave me the best options possible to save me money. I needed to get my car picked up by the Friday before New Years because it would be 4 more days until they reopened. The staff stayed way past closing to finish up my car, I feel few other places would have done this. A few weeks later the owner himself followed up with a courtesy phone call to see how my car was doing. read more

My daughters car wasn't starting and I had tried everything, so I took it to Steve over at All About Automotive for a diagnostic. I was given a sheet showing his recommendation for a new fuel injector...and a bill for $100...I installed the injector along with a new set of plugs around $200 and the car still didn't work, when I called him and he said I sould bring it into him again....hmmm, hadn't I just done that and now I'm out $300 bucks...So I took it to Miguels on Stark St. and was told it was out of time and needed a new timing chain...and that he wouldn't charge me a dime if that wasn't it, in fact he said I wouldn't owe him anything until he figured out the problem...Mind you this issue was something that was supposed to have been checked by Steve. Car runs great, thanks Miguel...All About Automotive should change their name to "All About Money", they didn't offer a refund even though they were clearly mistaken. read more
