I thought I needed to have my brake pads and rotors changed because two other Auto mechanics told me so. I wanted a third opinion so I took my car to Tom's all auto for the first time. Tom took the wheels off my car and showed me that my brake pads did not need to be replaced. Tom said I had 2 to 3 more years of wear left on my brake pads I am thankful I took my car to Tom's. I went to All Automotive with a leaking oil pan. I had been quoted an exorbitant amount to replace the pan after visiting Matteson's in Pacific Grove. Edgar and his crew fixed the oil pan and I was out of there the same day for a very reasonable rate. The staff is friendly, the garage and office are immaculate, and I will only return to All Automotive in the future. read more

Good, honest people. When I can, I work on my cars myself, but was lacking the tools for this job. This mechanic knew his stuff, gave me a fair price for the work, and got it done in a timely fashion. He also set me up with a buyer for the vehicle I was getting worked on. The buyer had brought in another vehicle for a pre-purchase inspection, at which point Mark, the mechanic, told him it was a lemon and steered him towards mine instead. So that was a nice bonus for taking my truck there. Overall, couldn't ask for better service. read more

He never called the police to have me removed. your wife is the one who came out yelling at the top of her lungs. So much disrespect here I have never had an experience as dishonest and unprofessional as with Mark. I brought my truck in for a long crank which was not fixed and over charged just to mention one of 10 jobs he felt needed. When I called him and stated that the long crank time has not been fixed he stated that there was a big improvement. My truck had a hard time shifting from the moment I got it from All Automotive to the point where I had to tow it to another mechanic. Mark told me that he noticed clutch fluid leaking from under my truck but didn't inform me about it. My clutch was brand new before he touched it and 3 days after he noticed it there was no fluid at all. When I tried to resolve it he started using profane language and told me to get the F off his property. Do Not Bring Your Vehicle There. I wasn't able to get my RV smog cert bc the shops were not professionally equipped, I brought my RV to this smog shop and Mark shop was by far equipped to service space shuttles. All Automotive was very thorough with my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Exemplary clean work at a reasonable price. I work on the basics with my vehicles until It goes beyond my capabilities. They are spot on and go the extra mile without say, I was very impressed. Midas across the street wanted $550 with very questionable employees for what All Automotive did for just above $100. The Bonus is I found out the Owner/Head Mechanic used to work for Volvo just by our conversation about my 850 T-5R wagon that I also brought in. So it's a no brainier for me, this guy knows his stuff and his staff is just as great! Plus there is a great new restaurant next door, Googie Grill and a Starbucks across the street. Everything's fine...UNTIL you have a legitimate issue.... I have been going to All Automotive for years. On prior occasions, I got great service (and would tend to agree with the other positive reviews). That was all until my two most recent service appointments. Two weeks ago, I dropped my car off with two problems: 1) there was a noise coming from the right front wheel area; and 2) the car pulled to the right. When Dick checked me in, I made a point to give him all of the details and to tell him that I was not convinced the two problems were related. I asked them to call me when they knew what was going on and went across the street to Starbucks to wait. Three hours later, I came back to check on the progress. Crissy told me that the car was done and had been ready for two-and-a-half hours. She also told me the noise was fixed (a loose bolt on the strut). I asked about the pulling problem. She said no one had looked at that. I expressed my frustration that: 1) no one had called me, and I wasted two hours of my time waiting; and 2) no one had looked at or addressed the pulling issue. Crissy became EXTREMELY defensive (much more than the situation warranted). I realized that Crissy was taking my disappointment personally. After confirming this, I apologized and informed her that it was definitely not intended as a personal attack, that she was a good person, and that I had enjoyed coming to their shop all these years. This seemed to calm her down. I told her I looked forward to bringing in my car in the future and took my car (which was still pulling to the right) home. I thought everything was fine until I went in this morning to drop off my car because it was having difficulty starting. That's when Dick refused to check me in and told me to get out of the shop. I couldn't believe it. All of a sudden I was being treated like a criminal. To add insult to injury, this was after I had already taken the morning off work to bring my car in. Three weeks ago I would have given All Automotive 5 stars. Now, I can no longer in good conscience recommend them. I thought I had found a shop I could trust to do good work. I am no longer confident this is the case. Sure, they'll be happy to take your money, right up until you have a legitimate dispute. Then you're no longer welcome. Don't think your business matters or that a trusting relationship matters, because with All Automotive, it doesn't. Find someone else you can trust. And if you do, please let me know, because I am now (unfortunately) in search of a good shop. By the way, I am happy to discuss this situation in more detail if it is useful to people. Brought my truck in to smog it last minute at the end of the day. It failed the first test so Mark ran diagnostics, fixed the idle, set the timing so it would pass and did it nearly free of charge. He was willing to stay after hours to help me out. Thanks dude! read more

I love this place. Went in for a smog because they are the only licensed ones that can do it now and they were honest with me, and Mark and Cathy (hopefully I spelled the name right) are awesome! I have a VW and was told at the smog check that some brackets were broken and that most VWs have this problem. I called and made an appointment and had them replaced, tires rotated and an oil change. The price was right and I feel that they are very honest and I trust them. I will go there if I need the car repaired, but, of course, hopefully I don't need to go. I would recommend them to anyone. read more
