Wow. I'm so glad I found this place. I was randomly looking for new-to-me, well-rated brunch spots in the area and discovered All Favorites Cafe. Love the ambiance, love the vibe, the staff is fabulous, super cool and on their game. My friend and I shared some pimento cheese. It was fantastic. She got the El Burro and I got the Patsy Cline. Both were honestly excellent. I love the creativity of the menu. Not only that, but the food is well executed and the portions and prices are good. We had no problems finding street parking but we also arrived on the early side. I imagine there could be a wait if you arrive at prime brunch time. I came in for breakfast with a couple of friends on a Saturday morning (about 9:30) and we timed it just right before there was a wait for a table. The wait staff was so friendly and they topped up coffees with a dedication that would surely keep you caffeinated all day. We were impressed that even the iced coffee got top ups. For my meal, I got the Patsy Cline and it was delicious! Ive never had white bean puree on a breakfast toast and now I want it all the time. So good! Depending on the time but usually there are some wait as the place is relatively small and has limited seating especially nowadays the place became pretty popular. I've been here few times and did tried few of their menu as well as specials. My usual go to is the pimento cheese with toast point and their The Classic or some of their specials. Today I got the classic with home made pork sausage and pimento cheese with toast points. Their pimento cheese is very good and perfectly pair with toast points. They give you plenty of cheese so don't hesitate to overfill your toast with cheese. The classic was just like its name classic breakfast. Personally I liked their home made pork sausage which looks kind of like hamburger patty but its juicy and flavorful. Their eggs and toast is standard. I wish that their home fries were smaller and more crunchier. Service is always great waitresses are always friendly. Overall the place is a good breakfast spot. Food and service is great. Down side is that there are some waiting time usually and that the portion is pretty small. read more

What a spot! They have a smaller menu compared to most brunch places, but it seems like it works in their favor because the dishes are delicious, and the food comes out pretty quickly. They also have a board of specials (but keep in mind that it seems these dishes sell out by around noon). We were seated fairly quickly, even though it was packed. It's a smaller spot too, so keep that in mind. Service was very friendly. Now onto the best part: the food. I got the French toast and salmon eggs Benedict (yes I got two menu items, but I just couldn't decide!). And absolutely no regrets because they were both delicious. Stopped in this morning for breakfast. There is outdoor seating and counter seating. Our name was taken but not our phone number, so we had to stand outside while we waited, which was awkward. Felt like we were hovering over the people eating outside. Got sat at the counter after about 15-20 minutes. My coffee was good as were the eggs Benedict with country ham, roasted tomato, and jalapeño cream on sourdough toast. The home fries were undercooked and the side of house made pork sausage was disappointingly dry. My husband's French toast was overcooked, dry and tough and would have cut more easily with a steak knife. This is a sweet little gem of a cafe! The location by Roger Williams park & zoo is on a street corner, with bright full length windows on two sides. An old-school u-shaped counter for 10 and 7 tables complete this tiny but mighty spot. Very good breakfast/brunch & lunch, open till 2pm. Healthy, modest breakfasts, made with all fresh ingredients are unique. Omelets are my usual go to, but today I enjoyed a special of beef brisket on sourdough toast with fried egg, and the side potato's. The tender brisket was great, and seasoned potatoes were so delicious! It's worth getting a cold beverage just to experience the cool clear shaped ice! Literally my favorite breakfast place. Staff is super friendly, place is clean, food is always perfect. They're always nice to our toddler (who is a great restaurant kid, so I don't like when people are annoyed that we bring him, he's basically silent). But they're great about it and so accommodating. This place has a strong social media presence and I've been wanting to try them out for a while now. Fairly close to the Zoo! Not much seating but even on a Sunday morning, things moved quickly. Very nice servers were hustling! They have a diner style counter and about 8 tables. I had the hamburger which was very juicy with a nice special sauce. The next time I come back, I think I'll ask for their pimento cheese on my burger instead of American just to give it a try! What a fitting name for such a cute cafe. I had the breakfast burrito which was warm, hearty, and yummy. The seasoning was light so it was still soothing on a sleepy stomach. The decor of the shop feels somewhat like a retro diner but cleaner and brighter, and I loved the U shaped counter in the center of the room. Huevos Rancheros fans skip this restaurant. I know it's only human to try to improve things that have been around for ages, but classic dishes are classic for a reason. This is the first time I have ever had this dish that was without ranchero sauce! (Think eggs benedict without hollandaise sauce.) Also, and this is a common sin, the Pico de Gallo was missing two of the essential 5 ingredients. There was no cilantro nor jalapenos anywhere in sight. And these are the ingredients that harbor the sought after flavor. Instead of trying to be all things to all people this restaurant should trim it's sails and admit it is not a Mexican restaurant. An unexpected find on the corner. The Classic is delicious. The pork sausage is browned and extremely savory. The home fries are some of my favorite home fries I've had so far in Rhode Island. We really enjoyed the friendly staff, food, and process at JP Spoonem's, the predecessor in this spot. When All Favorites Cafe moved in we hoped that they'd carry forward some of OUR favorite breakfast options. Regrettably, no salmon hash on the menu (frowny face) - please consider adding it? The iconic oval counter and low stools from Spoonem's remain in place, but the rest of the cafe has been nicely updated. It's much airier, brighter - and, I'll admit it - cleaner looking inside. Service is great, with friendly waitresses who seem to enjoy working with their customers (not always the case these days) and be happily willing to discuss the choices on the menu. The food was quite good though the pancakes, while tasty, weren't the "best in the world" our waitress promised! They tasted like a cross between a traditional fluffy pancake and a griddle cake, but with a batter sweeter than the usual griddle cake. My scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked and really tasty. For the first time, my restaurant eggs had pepper cooked into them (with maybe just a touch too much salt). I appreciated the flexibility of the menu - if I wanted eggs, toast, and avocado I could buy it a la carte (at about 1/2 the price) instead of getting the menu option with home fries. The smallish size of the menu was a bit surprising, and it felt like a few "favorites" were missing in the desire to offer more unique combos. I missed seeing avocado or ricotta toast, numerous (or select your own) omelet choices, and blueberry pancakes. The brewed unsweetened peach iced tea almost made up for it - almost. If we can make menu requests for the future: salmon hash, real buckwheat pancakes (they'd be dynamite on a griddle), and a tofu breakfast skillet for our vegan friends. Prices did seem just a teeny touch higher for the serving sizes than some of our other weekly breakfast spots, but overall the experience was extremely pleasant. I'm eager to come back and taste some of the less basic breakfast offerings. Who knows, maybe I'll develop some new breakfast "all favorites?" read more

I have a new favorite dish at All Favorites--a restaurant that really lives up to its name. It's called The Bowl and I ate every bite (see photo and caption for full description). I love how charming and welcoming this cafe is. It's only my second time here but I work right down the street so I will be returning often. From the cozy retro horseshoe counter and stools to the array of cookbooks lined up across a high shelf, there's a lot to love and a lot to choose from for every appetite. This took over the old J.P. Spoonem's breakfast spot that has been a sort of institution and staple on that corner. Love that with the new ownership came some much needed sprucing up of the space-- lighting, fresh paint, addition of backwall, divider, but the U-shaped breakfast table, stools, and flooring stayed. Food is definitely different-- more modern take on the usual breakfast staples. Tasty, too. The only thing that will take some getting used to is the price. No breakfast/lunch item in the limited menu is below $14, which should be fine for the quality but then when the orders came, the servings were sparse. $14 for a cremini and mixed mushroom on one slice of sourdough cut into two, seems unfair. Berke Mayre's subtle touches to each dish he serves make all the difference to the flavor and presentation. (Enter roasted tomatoes in the Hollandaise sauce on the Eggs Benedict... why you say? I am so thankful for a few things about All Favorites. I am happy that after the closure of the previous diner, another one was able to come in and put down roots at this location. I especially love how close to my house it is and that I can get there by foot in about 10 minutes. The food itself is absolutely delicious and I always leave with a full and happy stomach. Great music all of the time and wall decor to match. Finally, the staff there are very warm and inviting and so sweet. I don't even have to tell them that I want a decaf coffee, they already know and it floors me every time :) Small things like that are indicative of a quality dining establishment.
