Give this place some love!! We first tried the Pasadena location and wanted to give this one a shot too. The prices have gone up, but I'd still consider them reasonable. I love their Thai and Asian-inspired dishes, but they also have plant based burgers. Sadly, we were the only ones dining in on a Saturday night. The restaurant is nicely decorated and great for a date night. The waitress was very friendly and brought a complimentary Thai tea when there was a mistake made with another drink. The food is delicious without being too oily, salty, or sugary.

Unassuming smaller restaurant in a strip mall, but Yelp didn't lie -- this place was amazing! Thoroughly satisfied a vegetarian family of four, each of whom wanted something different. We had curries, Chinese-inspired dishes, and even a carbonara. Food was great and portions were truly epic. The service was very fast, but there were not many other folks in the restaurant at the time. Ambiance is nice and simple, not too upscale. Loved it. We will be back!

Must visit! Drove down from Santa Barbara and had to stop in here - never do they disappoint. The fresh chilled coconut, mushroom soup and kale salad were all soooo good! A delightful experience inside this lovely all vegan cafe.

There really is tofu (overwhelmed by the mushrooms!)

I shared a Tom Yum (with tofu) and Pad Thai Signature with my husband (who appreciates vegan cuisine much more than I do). I found the Tom Yum soup pretty good. It was sour, salty, and sweet as it should be, though I felt it was a bit sweeter than I like it (my husband, OTOH, thought it was just right). It was loaded with mushrooms, which is great. But I would have preferred more tofu, as well as more than a single tomato wedge. I didn't like the Pad Thai Signature, as I found it overwhelmingly sweet and loaded with noodles, with just one or two eggplant and tofu pieces, though it did have quite a bit of kale (along with a small salad, and bean sprouts. Our food came quite quickly, and service was friendly. A good experience.

Starting the year off right means Vegan January and coming here for vegan Thai food. I've been here once before and it's a casual sit down spot with a variety of dishes to choose from. Service was good and the staff recommended me to try the soy chicken (yummy!) and the beef which was also unexpectedly delicious. I tried the wild mushroom soup a few times and it does not disappoint - a rich and creamy coconut delight.

    Yellow curry noodles, delicious!

It had been several years since we had lunch at My Vegan and since we were in the area decided to stop in again. This place does not disappoint! It was as delicious as my taste buds remember with the most generous portion sizes. I chose the yellow curry noodles with vegetables, my goodness, such flavor. The curry was spot on, veggies were tender crisp and the noodles were so tender. My hubby chose the pad thai noodles which he also also enjoyed. We shared a green papaya salad, which turned out to be an incredible treat. Lots of flavor, with a beautiful presentation. Their thai iced tea was tasty although for me, just a little bit too sweet. Parking can be tricky in the little strip mall, we parked down the street, which was an easy walk to the restaurant. Highly recommend.

Amazing food and wonderful service! Food arrived extremely quickly and very hot. So many delicious choices, but we stuck with Asian dishes. Very generous portions, and we thought the prices were reasonable for what we were getting. This is quite far afield for us, but we really want to return to sample some other dishes. Highly recommend, no matter if you are vegan or not!

I love My Vegan so much, I go here about once a week for lunch. I've enjoyed everything I've tried there, but I tend to lean towards their noodle soups. Love this Tom yum soup- spicy, hot and sour complete with vegetables (and yes I splurge for the vegan beef). I also love the wild mushroom coconut soup, as well as the yellow curry noodle. They are heavier dishes so I don't get them as often. Portions are huge, so don't worry if you feel like you're not going to eat your fill at a vegan place!

It could have been a bit more flavorful, maybe some beans to add more protein, but it was good for a break from all the heavy holiday dishes. The mole chicken was right on the edge of being dry, but the mole was tasty and the portion of meat was large. The churro waffle had just a light cinnamon dusting, I was expecting a bit more of a crunch and sweetness. The fruit topping was fresh and yummy and the whipped cream seemed fresh as well. There's rarely a warm greeting when you walk in, no welcoming energy, and often it feels like you're interrupting someone's day just by asking a question or placing an order. I understand that everyone has difficult days, and working in the restaurant industry isn't easy. But hospitality is a huge part of the dining experience. A simple smile, eye contact, a "hello," or making customers feel welcome goes a long way. The food deserves praise, but the service does not match the quality of what's coming out of the kitchen. Management may want to spend some time retraining and refocusing staff on customer service and hospitality. Customers should feel appreciated, not like they're a burden. I truly want to see this place succeed because Highland Park needs good local businesses, and the food is excellent. But after several visits with the same experience, I felt it was worth sharing honest feedback. Great food brings people in; great service keeps them coming back. So off we went, trying to get there on the early side, as it's small (25 seats) and we'd heard it can fill up quickly. We arrived somewhere around 5:45 and were one of only two tables, but maybe a half-hour later it was completely full. The staff is super friendly, the ambiance is cozy and clean, and I like that the spice levels can be adjusted. We opted for the cucumber salad, dan dan noodles, dumplings in chili oil and the mapo tofu (which my friend wanted to try, since he hadn't yet). Food came out quickly, and while I realize that's not uncommon, I wouldn't have minded just a little more spacing. Still, it wasn't so quick to be a problem. My favorite items were the dan dan noodles, which were addictively delicious, and the dumplings in chili oil, which are longer and flatter than some and more flavorful than most. The cucumber salad was also excellent and a nice palate cleanser between other items. I was probably a little less enamored of the mapo tofu. It was good but not quite at the level of the other dishes for me. I still remember the mapo tofu served at the late, great Ricebox in DTLA, and theirs had much more flavor punch. But all in all, Mala Class was excellent, and I'd be happy to return to try more of the menu (and maybe repeat a few faves!).
