My check engine light had been on for over a year and a shop had told me it needed a new catalytic converter. I went and got three quotes from shops in the area and couldn't believe what they were wanting to charge. Then I just happened to be driving by All Muffler Service when I decided to give them a try. I have a 1998 MBZ ML320 that has had meticulous service, however it was suddenly very noisy. I took it to MBZ dealer and they said catalytic converter needed to be replaced but they could not do it as the parts were no longer available that I could possibly try a muffler shop. Oh dear a whole world I knew nothing about. I looked and All Muffler in Rocklin came up with good reviews so thought I would begin there, but not with much hope. Mark the owner said yes a catalytic converter could be ordered and installed. which he did and Benzly is as good as new. Did an awesome job, looked and sounded great, Ok a bit loud for me, but I asked for it! lol, After driving it a short time I realized I needed to make an adjustment to the sound because it was too much resonating for me so he suggested to put in the old resonator (which I still had) So while keeping the Flow master muffler sound we got a perfect sound and loudness for me! Wow, they have a lot of good reviews, I was pleased to see that before I went there in December 2017 to have my 2 catalytic converters replaced on my 2004 Toyota Tacoma V6 4x4, which I bought new. After 283823 miles things need replacing and these were old and now plugged. It started to lose power when driving and lurching at a constant applied gas pedal pressure, which deteriorated quickly so to make it gutless and undrivable. I took it in he replaced the cats, in and quickly, truck running perfect with power, everything was great. So, this is where I don't believe half of the likes they received, if not all, as I can only conclude they are fake. If it looks to good to be true.... welll... So in Early July 2018, trucks acts up slightly, but I had to go through that before, so I know. Well I call him up and tell him, and he tells me" no couldn't be that they don't go bad it's gotta be something else" he deflects and runs through all sorts of maintenance items. So alright. By the end of July getting worse I go in to the shop, tell him I think it's the cats, he has the same bad attitude as before, no responsibility, wouldn't even look at it. Raises multiple red herrings. I drive less, take back roads, city streets, avoid high speeds, MPG half of what it was and should be, call all muffler, same bad attitude, no service. However, I had been maintaining the truck, new coils, new plugs, new air filter, a few oil changes, new battery posts, new O2 sensors front and rear, new MAF sensor. Still runs like a plugged cat. Called him a week ago, still defiant, bad attitude, no service, won't do nothing. Told him I would see him in court. Well, I finally read the small print, on the Catalytic Converter warranty, it tells you. So after spending over a thousand dollars on parts, my labor, time, gas and all. I spent $49.99 at a STAR certified smog emissions station, totally independent, never met them. Guess what, THE DAM CATALYTIC CONVERTERS WERE, ARE , and had been PLUGGED the whole time.THEY ARE EITHER DEFECTIVE OR INSTALLED IMPROPERLY. So, here's the kicker, I spent enough money for nothing, and I gotta go back to him, cuz I'm done spending. So I will conclude this horrible ordeal after I call him tomorrow, we shall see if he finally does the right thing, or I will let you know If I had to take him to court. Wow what a gold mine finding these guys. I brought in my 99 4Runner that wouldn't pass smog due to a catalytic converter code. Mark had my truck on the lift within 5 minutes. Had a problem with my BMW and after some research identified that the catalytic converter could be an issue. I called and spoke with Mark who said bring it by and he would gladly look at it. My 69 Mach One developed a bit of a rattle and I could tell it was one of the exhaust brackets or something of that nature. I had some time off and saw the great yelp reviews so I swung into this place. Within 20 minutes my car was on the lift and the cracked bracket was being repaired. Then on lowering the car back down they didn't even charge me. Just sent me on my way and told me to have a nice day despite me trying to pay for the work. This is the sort of place you want to find but it seems harder and harder these days. The sort of joint were you don't have to worry if your being fleeced or if the work is needed, just good old fashioned honest mechanics. I'll be going back here for sure and hopefully it will be a job big enough that he will even let me pay for it. read more

I've had a rattle under my car that has been literally driving me crazy! I was to the point of buying another car because shops were unable to locate the problem. A friend recommended All Muffler Service and when I called they said to bring it by and they'd take a quick look at it. Once there he could hear it but couldn't see it. He then told me about a pipe inside a pipe that could be the culprit and if I give him 15 minutes he'll drill some holes, do a bit of welding, and if that fixed it he'd charge me a nominal fee and if it didn't there would be no charge. I told him that I was happy to pay the fee just because he might have a shot at it and lo' and behold he fixed it! I feel like I'm driving a new car not to mention having a new grasp on my sanity :) Sometimes there's nothing like experience to get a job done. Mark just helped me out big time. I had a car smogged at another place and I was told that I would need a new catalytic converter based on a diagnostic. The cost was very high. Mark's shop is not a state smog shop, but he sure can help you if you have a problem. Someone told me that Mark would give me a good price on a catalytic converter so I ran over to his place. Mark ran a diagnostic for no charge. The reading on the meter weren't registering the way he expected since I had recently cleaned my batter. He was able to tell me a few things about what was registering and he didn't think it was going to cost anywhere near what I was quoted at the other place. He told me to run my car around for a while and then come back. So I did. When I came back, he checked the car again and everything was fine. He suggested that I go and get my car smogged at a place up the road and the car passed. I was so thankful for Mark's help. I asked him how much I owed him and he said I didn't need to pay. I tried to pay, but he wouldn't let me. You don't find too many people like Mark out there. He will have all my business moving forward and I will recommend him to all my friends. read more

Same day I took my car to All Muffler and Mark (the owner) and Mike were diagnosing my car within minutes.
