I do not recommend All Plumbing Inc to anyone - use them at your own risk. There was a leak in my condo, and All Plumbing Inc was called by my condo association to repair the leak. They cut up the sheetrock to identify the plumbing issue (an area of 3*4 feet) and identified that an elbow joint for a half inch PVC pipe needed to be joined. The price of the elbow joint at Home depot is $ 15. They replaced the elbow joint and refused to replace the sheetrock - in other words, they left the area they cut up open and did not fill it back. When I called the to have them fill up the sheetrock, they were very very very very rude even though I had paid for the full job. I was forced to physically go to their offices and demand a refund for the sheetrock work since they refused to do it and they had already taken my cheque. For a repair work of an elbow pipe costing $ 15 at home depot - they charged me directly a total of $ 240 which I paid, and after I paid this amount, they then charged me through the condo association another $ 604 for "cutting ceiling in bedroom found a half inch PVC pipe leaking". In total they have charged me $ 844. This is very very wrong on may levels, too many to list but enough to follow up on. Further, I have called the owner of the business repetitively, several times to follow through on the issue and he does not pick up my call or return my call. Does not return my text messages either. I am writing this review, based on my own experience with All Plumbing Inc, for everyone to be aware of how All Plumbing Inc practices - use this plumbing company at your own risk. read more

It's heartbreaking to read the good reviews (especially for those with older homes) because that is what I communicated to All Plumbing when I made my appointment: I have a 70 year old home and really need someone who knows their stuff. I have used All Plumbing for more than ten years, and while I did not expect perfection, I did not expect outright incompetence. They did not repair the leaking hose bib I called them out for, could not explain why because there was a complete language barrier with both employees, and they further damaged both the hose bib pipe AND my main water shut-off valve, which I have just replaced at considerable expense (by a different company, obviously). The guy All Plumbing sent (a real plumber, who knows?) did not know how to operate the shut-off valve and left the handle mangled and the valve not fully functional. I was told a part had been ordered for the hose bib, but no one has called me in the week since, not that I would let them to touch my plumbing again. If you have a clogged toilet, maybe they are worth the risk, but they have completely lost my trust. It's a management problem when this kind of thing occurs--I don't blame the workers who are probably not treated well nor adequately trained. read more

If you care at all about your dignity and your hard earned money DO NOT rely on these people under any circumstances! Now, normally I would rate this business on their plumbing service. But, since I never received any I can not rate them on that. However, I can rate them on their customer service, integrity, and overall approach leading up to the day of service. In order to eliminate the influence of speculation and my emotional perspective I will just simply lay out the facts of my experience and let you determine for yourselves if this is the type of establishment that deserves your time. Day #1: I call this particular plumber to receive a price quote for a clogged drain. A few minutes later a plumber calls me to discuss pricing options. I opted to schedule the appointment for a weekday rather then the weekend since the weekend rate was exhorbitantly higher then the weekday rate. He gave me a 2 hour window and we agreed on the time and price. Day of Scheduled Service: During my confirmation call I find out that the plumber has no record of the appointment. Of course I had requested some time off work in order to be home to allow the plumber in. First the company tries to claim that I never scheduled the appointment in the first place. I was able to prove that that was not true. Then the company attempts to schecule another date with me which I have no issue with but it equates to me missing more time off work and another day without a usable bathtub. When I attempt to speak to the manager (Mr. Keyland) about dropping the price some due to the inconvenience that their oversight caused, the manager proceeded to interrogate me as to why I decided to take time off work for the appointment. Then when I inquired as to why he felt that I should pay full price for a reschedule he became outright disrespectful and continued to interrogate and tap dance around the root of the issue. The conversation did not last long as I soon realized that there are way better plumbers out there and that this establishment had no interest in treating me like a customer. Folks?!? There is something called customer service and these people obviously have no clue what the phrase means much less know how to practice it. Integrity? Well, if they can't own an honest mistake and make a mends for it then how could you expect them to do their job with integrity? If a manager exhibits this sort of behavior then what example does he set for the people that work under his supervision? I hope this review keeps you informed and aware. Thanks. read more

I had a plumber out to my house to deal with a backup. They came out for about 2 hours and attempted to run a snake through the cleanout from inside my house, not using the cleanout from the street to the main first, and could not get through. The following day, they had a camera guy come out. Both confirmed there was a break in the line and that I might be stuck having to excavate and replace large sections of pipe for the house, at an expense of nearly 7k. Then I called ALL Plumbing for a second opinion. They came out and actually were able to get a camera through both cleanouts (inside my house to the outside house one, and from outside house to the public sewer). After seeing what was in the existing pipe, they said if I did waterjetting clean out it should rectify my problem of a plumbing backup inside the house, at an expense of only $1,000. NOTE To any homeowner, this is great preventative maintenance to do when buying a home and could save you thousands in unneeded repairs by other plumbing companies. All Plumbing was so great, they even had the excavate crew on standby if the jetting didnt work, I wouldnt have to wait days for normalcy to return to my house, and since we didnt need them, they didnt charge me a standby fee or anything. read more

I've tried to give them another chance, but the truth is that as long as their plumbers are on commission and "time/material" you're getting ripped off. Even when you call the office to schedule a job with very specific replacement parts, they send their plumber without parts, so you're paying for an attempt. You can see the plumbers go as slow as they can possibly can, lingering around, and you end up paying for their time. read more

I had a plumber from All Plumbing Inc. come in to take a look at my 4 Moen bathroom faucets that had low water pressure. The plumber took over 1 hour to arrive at my condo (from the client reviews, it turns out I'm not the first to deal with significant delays). I called the office several times inquiring about the plumber's whereabouts, and I was told each time that, "He's just around the corner, I can see it on my GPS." In any event, the plumber finally made it to my condo, inspected all four of my faucets and told me that I had to replace all four of my faucets with brand new ones since the ones I had were faulty. The visit took less than 10 minutes and All Plumbing Inc. charged me $100 (I had to negotiate hard for a first time user 10% discount). In any event, I did some research on Google and discovered that I could just fix the issue by replacing the aerator in each sink. I called Moen and had four aerator kits delivered to my condo within one week - the total cost of the aerator kits came to less than $40 total. Replacing the aerators fixed my water pressure issue - and I am not even a plumber! I don't recommend All Plumbing Inc. - the service did not impress me one bit and I wasted $100. read more

The plumber was 2 hours late to the appointment for the estimate. He seemed very knowledgeable and I'm sure when it comes to plumbing he knows his stuff. It seemed like it went well, had a game plan for installing our new ice maker. After heading to his car to come up with a quote he came back with $1000 dollars to install a water line to an icemaker, demoing the wall and then not even including repair in the $1000. Seems like that is ridiculous even for Northern Virginia in a tiny townhouse. read more

I needed a plumber when water was dripping from my ceiling last night and Adam from All Plumbing really was a godsend. He came after hours, took the time to figure out what was going on and was super professional. I felt very comfortable with with him and his partner, and they were very careful about protecting my furniture and rugs from the mess, as they cut into my ceiling. Cyndy's Bottom Line: Experienced plumbers to diagnose and resolve problems efficiently. We needed work done because the first plumbing company we called did not complete the work. Darin arrived on time and was very professional. I pointed out the first problem and he honed in and went straight to the source of the problem. Darin was very knowledgeable and explained how and why the problem occurred. He provided the solution which was to replace the studor vent cap. He also provided a quick tip to spray bleach to clean out the residue which would eliminate the smelly odor. Darin recommended that we replace our bathroom faucet which would be the best permanent solution. He also documented the type of faucet which we would need. read more

I'm very surprised to see all the negative reviews, since my experience with All Plumbing was fantastic. I discovered a broken pipe around 6:30 in the morning and was surprised to not only have the call answered, but also to have a plumber confirm a window for later the same day. He also talked me through what I needed to do in the meantime to keep the damage from getting worse. I was contacted within my 2 hour window to tell me the plumber was en route. He arrived well within the window and gave me estimates for the work and explained what he'd need to do to find and repair the broken pipe. The work was done quickly and professionally and the plumber explained the next steps I needed to take to ensure the problem doesn't recur with the next freeze. He kept the drywall damage to a minimum, cleaned up the mess that resulted from cutting away soaked drywall and insulation, and showed me the damaged section of pipe and explained why it had burst. The price was lower than I expected, the service was professional, and the work was done in a timely manner. What more could I ask? The service was provided by the Arlington location. read more

Short version: Horrible experience. Rude customer service. Put a large hole in my wall and did not fix it initially, but then fixed it after speaking with the (rude) manager. Way overpriced. Longer version: I called All Plumbing to come look at a leak. They sent two technicians out. They cut a 1 foot by 1 foot hole in my bathroom ceiling. They said the pipes were fine and I needed to re-grout. They were there for about 15-20 minutes and charged $321.00 for this diagnosis. And just to emphasize, this price was just for looking and putting a hole in my wall. They did not actually fix anything. I called back and asked if they were going to fix the hole in my ceiling and the person I talked to could not have been more rude to me. He asked sarcastically, "You want us to fix it?" Umm, yes. He said they would but for an EXTRA FEE. I told him I had already paid $321 and wasn't fixing the hole they created part of that price. He said he didn't know and had no information about my job or the "scope" of my project. Shouldn't putting things back the way you found it be part of the scope of every project you work on? I woke up today with a leak. I went to bed with a leak, a hole in my ceiling, and $321 fewer dollars in my bank account. EDIT: they did finally fix the hole in the ceiling after several phone calls and speaking with the manager but that should have been done initially and it should not have been like pulling teeth to get it done. read more

I called All Plumbing about a month ago to investigate a leak. They came quickly that same day and found the leak within 15 minutes once I explained what I saw. They then proceeded to provide two options (either replace the pipe alone or install new water heater which would come with copper pipes). They were not pushy, but did explain why just replacing the pipes might be difficult because there's a lot of corrosion on the top of the water heater. I opted for replacement of the water heater because my prior one was quite old. They quoted me $4500, which is very reasonable for my system, as it also provides heating for my condo. (I had a quote from a few months prior after a HVAC inspection for a price a bit higher than this, so I knew that this was a reasonable quote.) The next day, they sent a team to replace the water heater. They were fast and efficient. Further, the water heater was GIANT and had to be lugged upstairs and the old water heater taken away. They were SUPER careful in the narrow space of the stairs and did not scratch the walls at all. I was very impressed. A month later, I thought I heard some leaking sounds, and thought that maybe the initial diagnosis of the leak was wrong. I called them and asked for a complimentary review after I explained the problem. They sent someone out that same day to take a look. According to the tests they conducted, the diagnosis was that the pipes were vibrating when I was using water. They explained to me the tests they conducted. They did not charge me. I am VERY impressed with this company's responsiveness, politeness, and great attitude, plus efficient work. I will be calling them again if future issues spring up! read more

Had All Plumbing come out today because my hot water heater wasn't working. The guy who came out was polite and solved the problem pretty quickly and told me exactly what was wrong and how I could fix it if it happened again. He also gave me some general tips about the hot water heater in case I continue to have problems. The costs was about $80 which is there rate for the first half hour I believe. Every 15 minutes after that I believe was quoted at around $35. Not sure how this compares to other plumbers. For a 40 gallon hot water heater replacement he quoted me around $1100 with installation. Not sure if that is good or bad. Seems like home depot has them for $500, but not sure of the quality and how much installation would be. read more

OK, so let's just admit that nearly everyone has had a bad plumbing experience. So, imagine my surprise when when All Plumbing's service was so spectacular. First, let me set the stage. Thanksgiving day 2012 just as I've finished cooking, the kitchen sink stops up. Strangely enough, the water is also backed up into the bathroom that shares a wet wall. I'd spent until 2am that evening trying to manually snake it and clean it all out, but realized it was beyond my tools and skills. So, All Plumbing to the rescue. So, I call them in the morning of Friday after Thanksgiving after getting "we are closed for the holiday weekend" messages from several other plumbers. My good luck as it turned out. So, I call All Plumbing and actually get someone on the phone straight away. I explained that I had to run family to the airport that afternoon, so sooner was better than later. He gave me a time window of 12-2. Imagine my surprise when he called back about an hour later and asked if 11am would be OK! Sure enough, Shakir shows up at just before 11am. WOW--EARLY! I'm already thinking this could be a good experience, but being careful to keep my expectations low given my previous plumbing experiences. Well, again, Shakir calmly listens to the problem, and my attempts at solving it. In the end, he successfully snakes the drain (which required some very strange access methods since the 100 year old plumbing was mixed with new plumbing by a marginal plumbing renovation). But the beauty of his work was that he was focused and efficient, but also tidy and clean (having laid out protective matts before he even started work). He also not only snaked until he had cleared the blockage, but went another 25 feet or so to be sure that the drain was as clean as possible to minimize any future problems. He also replaced the trap that I had broken during my own attempts at clearing the drain. Well, as it turns out, I had another drain that was extremely slow, so as long as he was at the house, I asked him to snake that drain as well (fully expecting to pay for it, but tired of having a powder room with a sink that didn't drain). Again, I had tried many times to clear that drain with a manual snake but had never been able to clear what appeared to be some renovation construction debris from the same renovation work before I bought the house). Again, Shakir was tidy, efficient, and went the extra mile to snake the drain much farther than the blockage just to be sure that it was thoroughly cleaned). So, imagine my surprise when both my stepfather and I guessed the same number for the total bill and Shakir showed me a bill that was fully $200 LESS than we had both guessed given the time and work involved. I truly can't recommend All Plumbing enough. GREAT WORK and honest prices. read more

They say it's very difficult to find honest, hard working mechanics, attorneys and plumbers. With all plumbing they are by far the best. We gave them an A plus performance. On time, professional, hard working, great price. I had been having issues with my garbage disposal, as it was making funky noises, and not working properly. I called All Plumbing to see if they could come out and diagnose the problem. Upon calling and explaining the situation, they quickly set me up with a next day appointment. The following day, the plumber showed up within the allotted time window, diagnosed the problem, and recommended my garbage disposal be replaced. He gave me a price quote, and i quickly did some price comparisons online, and thought they were very reasonably priced, and went ahead with the job. Once he got to work, he found a minor leak under my kitchen sink, and fixed it free of charge! Thank you All Plumbing! You found a life long customer! =) All in all, these guys were great! Very courteous, professional, reasonably priced, and respectful to me and towards my house, as they wore booties upon entering, which is a big plus in my book! read more

Cons: Seemed a bit pricey and a language barrier meaning my questions were never fully answered, so I was content to get things fixed and find another plumber. honest, fast, and clean. Three things that I did not think I would say about a plumbing company. I had a leak in my shower-head. I called to have my shower-head checked out and replaced. However, once their plumber came, we realized the leak was actually from the pipes inside the wall. The two plumbers begin drilling holes and taking out and replacing the pipes. The entire time they were super professional and made share I was aware of all the steps. When they were about to leave, I saw they had cleaned up each and every corner of my bathroom and hallway. I was very surprised because I usually have to clean after any person who comes to do any service. Thank you All Plumbing. I hope I won't need your services again. I've used All Plumbing for years, and I'm sad to say I won't use them any longer. The quality of the service is now uneven at best. We had an upstairs shower leak water into the downstairs ceiling. All Plumbing "fixed" it a year ago, only to have it leak again a year later. We hired them to come out and fix it again, but two teams of workers were unable to get the job done correctly. We hired another company that quickly identified the problem and patched and painted the walls -- all for far less money than what All Plumbing would have charged. I will say, though, that the manager spoke with us directly and was very apologetic, but I won't trust this company to do anymore work in my home. I don't have the time to waste. read more

It's one week after a monsoon and my basement remains bone dry. Many years of dampness and occasional water downstairs in my 1926 Rosemont house peaked last fall when the sewer pipe backed up. Local plumber sent by waterline insurance folks told me I had to dig up the back yard -- but not yet. The next time it backed up and put 8 inches of water in the basement the insurance folks sent Allplumbing. Hooray! They figured out that the pipe was not collapsing but blocked, and opened it with a pressure hose. Then they took up part of the nasty floor and all of the drywall/wood that was moldy. Installed drain and sump pump. BUT - on the day before the carpeting was to go down, a trickle of water appeared. Investigation found that one of the silver maples at the street had put a root high up on a wall so water could enter. That wall was parged. Drywall damaged by root leak was replaced and repainted. Sump pump outfall moved to better location. My basement has been dry now for months and it actually a nice place. The allplumbing folks, led by Kabir Shafik, are polite, hardworking, punctual and know what they are doing. I would use them for any plumbing issue. The value of my house has gone up and the downstairs is so much nicer than I thought possible. read more

I called to arrange work to have some copper pipe connected to a fan coil and got complete assurance that they could do the work. Since this is in a multi-story building I requested a certificate of insurance to provide assurance that damages could be covered in case the job was done incorrectly. I was told a certificate of insurance was going to be sent. I corresponded to provide the information requested. I followed up on when it would arrive. This exercise circled a multitude of times. This company can not provide a certificate of insurance. They must not be insured. read more

Customer service is NON-existent. The first time someone came to my place I was over-billed. Yeah, there was an accidental over-charge for labor by 30 min. The only "accident" was that the service plumber probably wanted to take a 30 minute nap on my dime. I was the one who caught the mistake, had to pull teeth to get 'management" to call me back, refund my money. Guy I dealt with was such a tremendous douche. The second time they came (emergency call), there was yet another issue with the bill. Again, no call-back from management after numerous messages. I think I *finally* spoke to the same guy from the first incident (again, "manager"??) and he copped the rudest 'tude because I wanted him to "break down" the bill for me. I guess simple math blows his mind. Oh, and their pricing? Outrageous. Not even in the ballpark of what's reasonable or competitive. Would never use again. read more

HORRIBLE RUDE...USE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK...I think they contract out jobs to people who I suspect aren't really plumbers..Someone different answers each time and they sound sketchy..I called them two weeks ago to install a cartridge in my delta tub faucett. There was a definite language barrier with the two men, I think one was being trained. They said the part was "defective". They insisted I pay $75 and left with still no working faucett. I returned the part and obtained another from Delta (good thing I had purchased the part as they did not have it on the truck) So now today I was supposed to have them return to put a part I obtained from Delta. Appointment was 12-2PM. It is now 5PM. I called once at 3 PM only to be told that the previous job was taking longer. I called again about 10 minutes ago only to be put on hold before I could say anything. read more

To be honest, I think people are sometimes shocked at plumbing prices. I'm a real estate agent and I've worked with a lot of plumbers over the years and have had a lot of unpleasant experiences. Over time I have come to know how much plumbing or contracting work should cost before even calling for a quote. That being said, I almost use All Plumbing in Arlington exclusively these days. The plumbers are friendly and reliable and all of the work done for me or my clients have been priced fairly. I trust them. read more

Simply the best plumbing experience I have ever had. I'm a condo owner in Courthouse Arlington. I have one of those small washer/dryer closets that make every technician want to turn and run. Water was dripping from the washer connect at a rate of about a gallon every hour. The other guys who I had spent thousands buying the Boche Units, Bray and Scarff, responded like I was trying to schedule plastic surgery and suggested an appointment next spring (More on B and S later). I called All Plumbing after hours, talked to an answering service, and received a call back in minutes from Freddy. Freddy listened to the problem, suggested steps that I could take to mitigate the issue until the next morning, and gave me a time when their technician could meet with me and the building engineer to compare notes and plan their attack. Shakir from All Plumbing arrived in a SWAT truck and was sitting at the curb 15 minutes early after calling me 30 minutes previously so I wouldn't have to sit around for hours burning vacation time from work. Shakir entered my condo and immediately began taking off the door to the closet and carefully removing the washer unit from the cramped space insuring no damage was done to my kitchen tile. Over the next hour Shakir replaced both shut off valves installing new washer-less cold and hot spigots that looked like something from a nuclear reactor or the space shuttle. He understood that I wanted this job done right and never wanted to have to do it again. After using a torch and some solder and cleaning up real nice he replaced the unit, re-attached the bifold door making all the adjustments necessary to ensure he hung it like he found it, and wrote me the bill which was around $300.00. Now this may seem a lot of money to those who would rather deal with "professionals" like those from Bray and Scary but you get what you pay for. What sealed the deal on my opinion was when Shakir apologized for my experience with the Bray and Scary technicians and reminded me that either you are a plumber or you are not a plumber and he was a plumber. He then left me with this gem "You know the other guys had the hot water hose connected to the cold water connect." I'd call this priceless but it wasn't of course. The Bray and Scary wreaking crew caused a leak during a repair, denied the leak, and reversed the reattachment of hoses for $220. Shakir left with a nice tip, the amount of which I will not disclose and the manager of All Plumbing now has this stellar review to set the record straight that All Plumbing in Arlington is the only place I will ever recommend for plumbing services. read more

His recommendation was to replace the kitchen faucet due to a leak. $75 for the visit and estimate. This wrapped into the same day fee of $350 for the moen kitchen faucet (est. $150) and labor. An hour later another tech showed up, spent 15 min. He handed me a bill from the office for about 1 hours worth of work. Meanwhile, he left water spilt all up under my cabinet. I call All Plumbing to find out what was wrong with my toilet. The plumber came, took a look and told me that it was a two-person job. I made another appointment to have the problem fixed. However, on the day of the second appointment the plumbers called and said they couldn't find a parking place outside my building and left. That was bad enough. But one of them also told me that someone from their office would be in touch with me about rescheduling the appointment. No one ever called me. I guess they don't need my money. Very unprofessional. Don't ever call these people. They can't do a good job. I got a shower faucet replaced by All Plumbing in last July. Since our home water heater was kind of broke at that time (with only one heating element working) we couldn't test the hot water output from the faucet when it was installed. Later I replaced the water heater and to my dismay found that the hot water output from the faucet with the lever turned all the way to the hot side was only lukewarm. I called All Plumbing to get this problem fixed. They tried to shirk their responsibility by saying it could be a problem with the water heater installation! They wouldn't listen to the fact only this faucet is having problem discharging hot water. They said they would charge me $78 to send a technician over - to fix a faulty installation done by their own technician! True to his word, Kabir, the project manager who visited my home to assess and estimate the project, the All Plumbing, Inc. crew took good care of us. The first two gentlemen performed the actual plumbing job, and then another two completed the concrete patchwork. All Plumbing replaced all of my polybutylene piping a few years ago and they were awesome. Clean, quick, and recommended other good contractors to remodel some bathrooms and paint. This year, they corrected an outside draining issue that a different plumbing completely messed up. I just recommended the company to a friend and came across some of the bad reviews of the company here and I think its a shame. All-Plumbing is professional, reliable, and reasonably priced. All Plumbing provided services on our condo that included removing existing tile and tub in bathroom, installing new tile and bathtub, moving line for dishwasher, moving line for kitchen sink, plumbing drain for washing machine to main stack, installing hot/cold valves for washing machine, and extending gas line for stove. Price was fair, the owner, manager, and all employees that we interacted with were polite, professional, courteous, provided quality craftsmanship, and always addressed any questions promptly.
