I came there to do my by annual smog check and I was a witness to an on going argument between Dan the mechanic and what I later came to find out was a 10 year returning customer. The customer had towed his vehicle there the night before and at the following morning, after the customer told them what he needed to repair, he got a very expensive quote and declined the service. Dan the mechanic there wouldn't give him the car key back until he paid I believe it was $90 for leaving the vehicle there overnight, after the guy was stranded, and towed it there to their empty lot (as you could see in the pictures I uploaded) and after them working on his cars fo about 10 years! The way this Dan talked to him, insulting him, and really being aggressive to the point it seems like he's going to hit him, was something I have never seen before from a business standpoint to a valued customer or any customer for that matter. I would avoid this place at any cost. Also seeing their other reviews seems like it wasn't the first but with this review we can try and make it last. read more

Went to this place on a recommendation of my local volvo mechanic after my smog checked failed for my '83 wagon at another place that wasn't comfortable diagnosing my old car. (My mechanic should've been my first call, but it's been 6 years since I last failed and I've moved cities so somehow good sense went out the window and lead to this expensive lesson) I called ahead to make sure they could take my car and dropped it off in the morning at opening time. Diagnosing was $150. Maybe on the higher end, but my mechanic trusts them and Dan was knowledgeable about my car so worth getting this resolved sooner than later. About 2 hrs later I got a call from Dan and based on his testing I passed 2 of the 3 things I previously failed (ignition timing, evap function) without issue. All that remained was NO emissions which I failed by 1 ppm. He offered to document his findings and I could take that to my previous place, retest, and hope for the best with emissions (rec diving on the highway before and keeping my engine on at the place to keep it warm) or he could retest ($91.75 + $8.25 certificate) and hope for the best with emissions (he'll warm up my car on the dynamometer). I went with the latter since I didn't want to deal with explaining this, was pressed for time, and my previous place only offered 50% off retest so I'd rather have Dan continue his work. About an hour later, I passed emissions (barely) and my car was ready for pick up. I asked if they offered any discount for paying in cash and Dan was able to knock $10 of the test and mentioned I would also save on processing fee. I was very relieved to have my smog certificate and 2 more years to not deal with this. Also Dan noticed and documented a small vaccum leak that I'll have my mechanic look at later. Thank you Dan! DMV registration renewed with certified smog test was due at end of January '23. I was referred by Sweeney's Muffler. I called All Pro. Spoke to Dan. I was given a time to bring bring in my vehicle. From arrival to completion was less than 30 minutes. Dan processed the required DMV smog certification & suggested I wait a few hours for DMV to do their part. I came to get my truck smogged because #1 they had good reviews on Yelp and they offered 10.00 off on certified smog checks. When I walked in to see about a smog the owner says "What's up what do you need". I am thinking to myself so much for customer service. I told him I am here for a smog check he says give me the keys in a rude way. Not once did he state the price of the smog check nor was it displayed. The smog check did not take long at all. when it was time to pay I stated that I checked in with Yelp which entitles me to the 10.00 discount. The owner huffed and puffed. I asked is something wrong he say yea I can't charge you full price. I told well if that's the case you should not have the discount on there to get more customers. The attitude I got from this guy when I just called there was unreal. Laughable even. I just called to ask how much they charge to run a diagnostic on a check engine light. He goes through this bs about how they charge $120 so they can 'pinpoint exactly what the problem is.' Meanwhile they literally do it for free at Auto Zone. He even admitted that. Running the computer on the car gives you the code for what the problem is. Typical mechanic bs trying to take advantage of people who don't know anything about cars. Hey bud some advice for ya: You'll get more business (and less negative Yelp reviews) if you drop the attitude some. ;) read more

Nothing professional about this place. Was recommended here thru "Sweeney's Exhaust" and "Japanese Auto Repair Center" bc my car is having sagged performance from 0 to 35 mph. I left it a full day and I got the impression they barely worked on it. Nothing found and was asked to take it back post weekend. I leave it again and get told nothing yet but that they couldn't really pay full attention due to other customer cars needing work. I get asked to take it back next week. I just showed up and was told that "ahhhh better if you bring it tomorrow." I was done. Just decided to leave with understanding that I won't be coming back and how their unpro work ethic and attitude is a core of the problem. So I lost 2 days. They lost me as a customer. Came in today dreading a smog check. Turned over the keys and DMV paperwork to Dan. My Mini Cooper was parked in front of the bay. I figured he'd have to pull it in and dyne it. I saw him hook up the OBD equipment, and had myself a seat looking for nearby places to eat while the test was performed. I got up a few minutes later and asked how long the procedure would take, so I could factor that into to how far I wanted to walk to find lunch. He said it was already done! My 2005 CRV would not pass a smog check at a Los Angeles smog shop. I headed to All Pro Auto on a recommendation. Paul ran another test - did not pass. He suggested that driving at a steady speed on the freeway could trigger the computer to pass. He let me borrow the testing device and drive it around. I did a loop on the 405/105/110. Just went I was about to give up (on the car), its passed. I don't think that there is another smog shop in the LA area that would have done that. read more

Paul has been the last 10 years to me awesome... recently Dan has been there at least a year running things and today was candid camera moments... I had sons car towed there yesterday just before they closed and called within a few minutes of car arriving and was told 850 plus labor for a key that goes into ignition but won't turn.... Paul call me this AM told him there in minutes to talk cost and other options to fix.... My wife calls a locksmith he meets me there and Dan refused to give me key without paying to park overnight ( They did no work on car ) Dan said call the cops if you want the key ...... The catalytic converter on my 1995 BMW 318i is scraped making it hard to read the number engraved on the bottom. Paul at All Pro Auto took the extra step to raise my car using his hydraulic lift in order to accurately read the number on my catalytic converter. My parents have taken their cars to him since way before that. He will diagnose your car and honestly tell you the problem(s) and what must be fixed now and what can wait. I've brought my '99 4Runner here a couple times now, first time was for brake replacements on all four tires and the second was for an ignition issue and both times I received great service. I had my check engine light due to previous work on my 2001 Mustang at another Mechanic shop last year, which left me a bit twitchy towards other mechanics. Registration came due, I needed to take care of the light and had to get it smog checked. I was paranoid that the check engine light might lead to other costly repairs before having the smog check done. Grounding pin was pushed out after I had my fuel pump replaced at the other shop, Dan put it back into place, told me to drive see if the light comes back on. It didn't. Brought my car back in for the smog check. I showed Paul the paperwork that Dan had given me, he had Angel take a look at the readings to see if it could actually be smog checked. I hand Angel the DMV paper, Paul was explaining to me the Evap monitoring system. Not talking down to me at all, he saw Angel at the computer again to see how it was reading, came back a minute later, passed the smog, paperwork handed back and signed, in a span of 25- 30 mins. Went in to get a smog check on my truck he told me there's the check engine light on the dash that I wouldn't pass so I just asked him again and it still won't pass with that on there and he looked at me with other customers and office and says oh so you want me to repeat it again and then I told me it was just a glow plug that needed to be replaced and then he looked at me again what the funny look with customers still stand in there and says it out really loud do you really want me to say that again so I took my stuff said Thank you will not be back very rude try to embarrass you want for the other customers not a good business owner or whoever this dude Paul is behind the counter does not have good customer skills not a good experience and will never recommend this service for anything read more
