We DON'T RECOMMEND this company. Movers BROKEN our furniture but they DON'T want to take any responsibility. First they sent a handyman to our home to check broken furniture then told us they will fix all in next week but Unfortunately no one showed up and fix our furniture. What they did was keep rescheduling to send a handyman back but actually they didn't have any plan to send a handyman to fix. No one showed up for fix the day we had an appointment so We called All Star moving again.. Guess What. HE HUNG UP on us. I can't believe that. Not professional Business. Few weeks later, we called back. a lady answered phone and she didn't know anything and tried help us BUT again her Boss Sam. He said Covid handyman don't want to go people home now (we understand that) so instead of going to fix they will pay to us broken furniture by lbs. They asked us to research furniture weights and send to All star Moving so We researched our three of furniture weight (yes 3 furniture are damage and broken) and sent. Sam said he will research too and he will give us his research weights following the week. Guess what's. After this conversation they Never answered our phone calls( we called so many times), never responded emails. No one calls us, still No one come fix. There is no sincerity at all. Worst business never seen. Be aware if you hire this company and if they broken your furniture, they WON'T/DON'T take any their responsibility at all. Very bad business. Dan was fast, affordable, and friendly the entire way through. Really reasonable pricing ($99/hr for 2 men and a 26ft truck) and consistent communication. Movers showed up on time and worked fast, moving my heavily-furnished one bedroom apartment from my storage unit into my new place in a little more than 4 hours. They took extreme care as they both loaded and unloaded my boxes and furniture, and everything was unloaded into the apartment exactly where I asked, all in perfect condition. The first 4 man crew they sent were great guys. Fast, helpful and considerate. I would give them 5 stars if on the second day they sent the same crew but, they didn't. The second day they sent guys who didn't know how to pack fragile things. I had to make sure the boxes were packed tight so my china wouldn't break. Crystal and glass were loosely wrapped. I had to stop them from packing the upper part of my China cabinet. Don't get me wrong they were nice, polite young men. No one spoke English except the boss. I don't know or understand Russian so there was a bit of a barrier. I really wish they had sent the original guys the second day. I would have kept them longer than the three hour minimum. read more

These guys were a no call no show. I booked them a week in advance and after several phone calls and e-mails confirming the move they never showed or called. On the date of the move, the complex I was moving out of was refinishing the parking lot, so I tried contacting them at 8am with no answer. I left a message stating the possibility of a reschedule or asking to call back to discuss options for the move. I called nearly a dozen times between 8am and 11am with no one picking up the phone. No one ever called me back. Beware planning your move with these guys. UPDATE- I'm going to give them some credit. Since this incident, they have been trying very hard to make amends. Take this with a grain of salt. Moving is a stressful situation to begin with. The morning of my move, the apartment I was moving from was resealing the parking lot most convenient for the move. I made multiple phone calls to contact them and left messages stating I didn't know if we need to replan, reschedule or cancel and I asked for a call back to discuss options. They called after a week and after seeing the review here, willing to make reparations. I'll bump them a couple stars because after speaking to the owner, I believe he is genuine and they are a local business, which I fully support. Given the chance, I'm sure that they would have handled my move. Partial blame should go to the apartment complex for being such jerks about everything that morning. read more

Let's face it - no one enjoys moving. I was dreading move so much, and then All Star Moving showed up. I hired three men and a truck. Not only were they on time, they were so cheeful! It's like they love their work. The movers were meticulous, thorough and paid attention to every little detail. They asked questions when needed and follow any instructions/suggestion I offered. Again, they were just so NICE and boy, they hustle. I was thinking, "Hmmm. I hired them by the hour - not by the job. Not the best strategy." Wrong. These guys really work as quickly as possible and are totally focused on YOUR needs. The packed up my place and we drove over to my new place. Again, they had the same hustle and spirit when we got to the new place. They put everything where I asked them to, put the beds together, etc. They were super careful with everything from packed boxes to furniture to TVs. Not one thing broke - not one wall or floor was scratched. They are simply wonderful. Finally, from the beginning to the last item moved, the experience could not have been better. This would be my third time using this company, and I do have to say that the first two times moving with them went great as you can see from my prior review...BUT... We were scheduled to have them move us Friday July 30th, 2017 and they NEVER SHOWED NOR RETURNED PHONE CALLS OR TEXTS! At the time of this review, 6 full days have passed and still nothing. Just to clarify, I booked with Daniel the owner 2 weeks in advance and called the day before to confirm. The morning of the move I got a text (see pic) confirming that they would be there in the afternoon. Nope. As you can see by the thread we kept texting as well as calling and they just went totally dark. They still have yet to rear their ugly heads 6 days later. That is totally unprofessional and unacceptable. I get it, something happened and they were understaffed, overbooked, or whatever. Call us back at least and help us find a solution, right? We weren't sure if we should book another mover or what. As a repeat customer I figured that he wouldn't leave me high and dry like that, but he sure did and is still hiding under a rock. I understand it's a small sample size, but a 66.7% success rate when it comes to something as time sensitive as moving is not worthy of their rating on Yelp. He asked me in the past for a good Yelp review which I was happy to give, and I very rarely slam establishments unless they are completely deserving of it. Needless to say this qualifies. BUYER BEWARE. I would not hire this company unless there's some way you can get something in writing that any tardiness or no show will result in financial damages to make up for your inconvenience of moving out too late or having to hire a far away moving company at premium rates like we did to bail us out last minute. I did a great deal of research in order to find the best company for the best value to efficiently move my son from his one-bedroom, first story Newport Beach apartment to a two-bedroom, second story apartment in the Pacific Beach area of San Diego. From 11/23/13 They were very efficient. They arrived on time - I was told they would arrive between 1pm and 2pm and they showed up right at 2pm). It took just over 2.5 hours to move everything from my two bedroom apartment to my new condo about 6 miles away and completely set everything up. They did not hesitate to move all of my boxes including those that were sealed very well. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because they have a 4 hour minimum. I had purchased a 2 hour coupon on Amazon Local, and had to pay for another 2 hours plus drive time even though they really only worked about 30 minutes. The two movers were happy they finished early and could head home on a Saturday night, so it would have been nice to have only been charged for actual work time. read more

I couldn't ask for a more friendly, responsible and trustworthy group of individuals to work with - especially with something as stressful as a move!!! I've provided the highlights of each of our 3 moves below. I was referred to him by a friend who had a great experience 4 years ago. I've always had great communication with Daniel before each move. Even the second and third times, he was thorough in explaining the charges, minimums, travel time, etc. He takes the time to make sure you're informed/comfortable. Crews have arrived on-time, moved everything carefully and efficiently, and helped disassemble some bigger items in order to fit better into storage/new homes. Did a walk-thru to confirm the time needed for the move, thoroughly explained the insurance, charges, and related before commencing the work - and came in under budget/time estimate, which resulted in a bigger tip, every time!! On top of that, the crews have all been hard working, friendly, courteous - and really funny. We've actually ENJOYED each of our moves, because the crews were so well organized and worked as a team, they made us feel completely at ease. Specifically, during our last two moves, we've entrusted them with transporting the "babies" - our massive plasma TVs. The amount of care/thought that they have put into making sure our items were moved safely and with ZERO damage is just incredible. Art & Tim were our movers. They did an amazing job moving our family to our new house. Everything was wrapped great and secured very well. Unfortunately it rained hard during the unloading which meant they were out in the cold and rain. But, they handled the rain and all of our possessions well while moving them from the truck. I had every intention of giving a 3 star review, but they guys really redeemed themselves throughout the move so I'm bumping it back up to 4 stars. Our move was scheduled for 9am. When they didn't show on time I called the company, no answer. At 9:30 I called a few more times, no answer. Finally got a call back at 9:45 saying they're having mechanical issues with the truck and they showed up at 10:30. I would have been very understanding (after all these things do happen) had they simply communicated this to me when they found out or at 9am when they should have been there. The lack of communication caused some serious day of moving stress as I started to shift to plan B if they didn't show. Next, when they did show we reviewed the contract and had a number of misunderstandings on price. First they told me it would be an extra charge for each piece of furniture they wrapped to protect during the move. When I scheduled the move he told me the hourly rate and mentioned they'd bring everything to protect furniture etc but never mentioned an extra charge. Luckily they waived that price partly from my complaints and partly because they showed up late. Then the hourly rate was $15 more an hour than what we previously discussed on the phone! I'm lucky I caught it. After the initial bad impressions, the movers really did a great job. They didn't damage anything and moved our whole 2br house in 4 hours (we used 3 guys). They were a pleasure to work with and just did an overall great job. If the review were only for the workers they would have gotten a 5 star review. Looks like the office/owner just needs to work on better communication if there are problems and definitely better communication on price.. He was upfront about the pricing and I only gave him maybe 3 weeks notice yet he was able to accommodate me. I purchased the Spreebird deal (or was it Groupon?) for two hours of moving services, BUT I called before I bought it so I could get all the details. I have never used a moving company before and I didn't know what the movers actually did for me and what I had to do myself. Daniel explained the 4 hour minimum and I explained that all I really needed help with was taking furniture apart and moving it and putting it back together. He told me his guys did all of that and I was on board. The movers were friendly, respectful, and even EARLY. I was really worried about hidden fees and charges, but I literally paid for 2.5 hours of moving and nothing more. No charge for saran wrap, no charge for bubble wrap, NO HIDDEN CHARGES. I was very pleasantly surprised :) The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because the bunk beds were put back together and there were extra screws when they were done and they feel a little rickety. I'm not sure how well they paid attention when they took them apart, but it was a big, complicated set up so perhaps they missed something? All in all, it was a great experience and I would recommend them. read more

I was so excited to move into our new house in the Temecula area, but didn't plan ahead very well. I was glad to find help on short notice when I called All Star Moving Company. The price was affordable and the service was OVER-THE-TOP! I cannot believe how much the two guys got done. Not only were they fast, they moved things I thought would take at lease 4 guys... Such as my 1901 upright piano, a chicken coop (that normally takes 5 people to move), and my 8 ft long, heavy-duty garage shelving units. They definitely exceeded my expectations! We moved out of our home of 17 years last week and didn't know where to turn for a moving company. As we were moving at a busy time of the month (the 30th of Sept), we were told by several companies that I couldn't reserve their "best crew" as they hire day labor to mix in with their employees during busy times. Then I stumbled across the web site of All Star Moving Company and I noticed that they only employ full-time workers. When I spoke with Daniel on the phone I felt much more comfortable than other companies I spoke with. Sold! On moving day we had an awesome crew. Cory, Victor, Ty and a 4th gentleman (sorry - forgot his name) were very professional, friendly, efficient and careful with all of our furniture including some very old and heavy antiques (thus the reason we opted for a bigger crew - extra TLC.) We were very impressed how all of the furniture was wrapped both with blankets and shrink wrap. I tried to slow them down a bit with Starbucks breaks, etc as our contractor wasn't quite ready to get us into our new home, but nevertheless these great guys had us out of our old 4 bedroom home and into our new place in less than 4 1/2 hours and without a scratch! I'd highly recommend All Star Moving of San Clemente to any in need. Our realtor's advice was very good as well - if you're concerned about valuable furniture, go for a larger crew. Moving is always stressful, No matter how many times I've done it, something always got damaged or the overall experience was horrific. Even though this move was only 5 miles away, I still had the same amount of planning/work to pack and organize the house, which was very stressful. All Star Movers is the best move I have ever used. Take a look at their website to understand the difference. They provide personal attention to your needs. They work very hard to show that their only concern is your complete satisfaction. Daniel hires and trains professional movers (in my case "Jordan" & "Roland) who know what they are doing and even have a cool "lingo" or code that they use while doing the move. This makes their communication to each other (move left, watch for step, watch for ceiling, etc.) very accurate. Clearly they have been trained to handle a variety of complex situations. They work super-hard, but also very efficiently. While packing the truck, it was actually a wonder to behold at how well they carefully placed items! My indoor items were handled with white-glove service, but even the outdoor stuff (furniture, and plants) were too! As for pricing, there is no game-playing. All Star charges an hourly rate that is all-inclusive. Any incidental charges (e.g. specially wrapping glass table tops or delicate furniture) are very up-front and reasonable. You simply will not get this up-front pricing from any of their main competitors. Those guys will low-ball you, send un-trained movers to handle your precious things, and then nickel-and-dime you for each stair, each special wrap, odd-shaped items, etc. to the point where you will pay double what All Star charges. Moving is still stressful, but you can rest-assured that All Star Movers will get your house moved efficiently, economically and most-importantly, SAFELY! Nice job guys! read more

I used them to move from a 2 bed 1.5 bath with horribly narrow stairs and a huge washer and dryer set upstairs, into a 3 bed 2.5 bath house just down the road. We scheduled for around noon (given the first job was going to be a quick one) and they called me asking if they could start early. They arrived, and immediately started. They were kind, nice and did really well with my two very unhappy pups locked in kennels and barking their heads off. They unpacked and set everything up, asked questions about where things went, and helped us move some of the heavier things to other areas. I would definitely recommend this company. Outstanding customer service! I called at 6:00pm on a Saturday night because our original moving company never showed up and we were in a bind. The owner, Daniel, answered my call immediately and lined up a time for the following afternoon at 2:00pm - on a Sunday!! All star really pulled it off for me. I called them 2 days before i needed to move and they helped me out so much. Daniel (the owner) was very helpful! He explained and broke down the price for me. I really liked that they offered a cash discount as well. The amazing part is the cost of gas is included with there price. The other companies that i called had the price of the move and then an additional cost for gas. The two movers Nathan and Spencer were really nice. I really enjoyed the small coversations. Update 02/11/2013: Just got a call from Daniel and he was apologetic regarding what had happened during the move, discussed the crib situation and offered to refund a portion of the desk to me. I declined the offer, but the gesture was appreciated! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- First of all I have to say this is my second time using them. The first time was great, the movers were really fast and efficient and I would definitly give them 5 stars. However this time around, I was dissappointed with the service. First of all like the last time my wife and I always try to do what we can for the movers. We always having most everything packed the night before, we always buy lunch for the movers (the first time we ordered Pizza and this time my wife went to Carl's Jr. and bought each of them the meatiest Six Dollar Burgers she can find as well as giving them as many drinks from our drinks fridge as they wanted). We also always make sure that the movers are happy with the amount of tips we give them as well. The movers this time were still very friendly, fast and efficient we were very happy initally with the move and everything looked great. But that evening while we were cleaning up and unpacking we noticed two things that really upset us. First of all, my wife notice that our son's crib wasn't assembled correctly, there were screws that were not in the right area (there are both long and short screws and because they weren't in the correct places, when they put the short screws into in wholes where the long screws are suppose to be, the threads don't catch the pieces of wood are loose) which may cause the crib to collaps. We were upset but we figured they didn't have the instructions so they may not have know how to put it together so my wife had me take it apart and reassemble it again. What really got me was that they didn't let us know about the loose screws, at the very least if you don't know how to assemble it you should let someone know because if anything were to have happened they would've gotten a serious law suit on their hands. Secondly, I have an "L" Shaped desk that needed to be disassembled and reassembled. Now I know most of these desks are made of particle board and not very strong, however trust me when I say this, the one I have is must stronger than the usual cheap ones. I've personally moved this desk twice and have never had an issue taking it apart and puting it back together. Anyway, there were holes in palces where I believe there use to be anchors and they tried to force fit the desk together because the holes were striped during the move I think. Anyway, I'll see if I can post some photos of it to show what I'm talking about. Daniel send the mover back who assembled my desk to try and fix the issue, however there is only so much he can do (short of building me a new desk) to fix it. What really pissed me off is that I haven't heard back from Daniel since that night he told me his mover was coming by. At the very least follow up on the issue! Anyway, I'm sorry to say that we will not be using this during our next move as I'm sure for what they charge I can find movers and owners that are more responsible when issues arise. BTW just to clarify, I wasn't looking for a refund on the move or anything. The desk was only about $250 and I could've just purchased a new one (even though they don't make the exact same one anymore), for me it was more about the principle and taking responsibility of what happened. read more

Daniel calls me back and says he had me booked for Tuesday 12/2/14. I remember speaking to him about Monday because the availablitly was more likely than Sunday, and I don't work on Sunday and Monday. The next thing Daniel asks is if I really need to move out today? I told Daniel I need to work tomorrow, and everything is packed so I would need to unpack to go to sleep tonight, and repack tomorrow morning. This mistake is a big inconvenience, and could've been avoided by better organization and maybe a confirmation e-mail. I understand mistakes happen, but a manager's job is to fix the businesses mistakes. Daniel said he called dispatch to see if any of his trucks could come out later, but they couldn't. Why can't they? Your employees don't want to be paid overtime, or you don't want to pay them overtime? I asked for a discount, Daniel said I couldn't get a better rate than the one I was getting. This was a an Amazon Local coupon rate. There are more negative reviews from customers that used Groupon as well. It would seem that they double book dates, and stand up the discounted customer. The All Star Movers website states "When you book a move with All Star Moving we always honor the reservation and never leave a client for a bigger job. It's first come first served, with integrity." Accountablility is the key to business operations. If you shrug off your customers when you make a mistake, they will tell 5 more people not to use you. Avoid. I used another company and had a wonderful experience. So, I assumed the bad reviews were just negative people. No so much. My stainless fridge, dented and scratched! Dining chair missing! Dryer damaged! And liquor missing (costco sized bottles). They were late, confused by my fridge and at least one seemed to be on some mood altering substance. I offered to remove the fridge doors to assist them. They insisted they could move it without having the doors removed. Both doors damaged and the back is dented as well. It also took an hour to move this one item. At the new place, while the fridge was in the truck, they insisted that it would not fit into the kitchen. At this point, I am really tired of their complaining--are they professionals? So, they left the fridge in the garage. I contacted the owner who said I would be reimbursed for the cost of the doors (did not want to pay for labor to have the doors installed). Yes, the fridge is still in the garage so, I will need to hire professional movers to have it relocated and pay out of pocket for the doors to be install or do it myself. All this because I hired this company. Avoid -- even if they offer half off. Almost two months later and still waiting for reimbursement. Avoid this company! read more

Update.. the last time I moved, one of the movers stole a lamp that had a lot of sentimental value. A unique, Palm tree shaped lamp that the kid made a point about when packing, commented on how cool it was, and that he was going to put it up in the cab so it wouldn't get broken on the move. When we reached my destination, he did not deliver. I called Daniel about it the next day and he said he would look into it. Nothing... pretty much said it was my word against this punk kid's, who denied it all. Very disappointed and will NEVER use this company again. Moved back to OC and hired BEST moving (see other review) and they were fabulous. read more

So, this goes to show, following up and following through is a sure way to regain a customer's trust. However, taking 3 weeks to send a refund- just showed the lack of ownership in taking responsibility for slow staff. My initial intention was not to write a poor or favorable review and to just be satisfied with the agreement that Daniel and I had made. But, after waiting and being put off with false texts- the review came to light. I received the $125 refund check today. I called my credit card company and let them know they could close the claim. At the end of the day, I don't feel bad about the honest review that I wrote, because it gives fair feedback to other people looking to use this company. Ultimately, they followed through, which earned another star. read more
