So, this goes to show, following up and following through is a sure way to regain a customer's trust. However, taking 3 weeks to send a refund- just showed the lack of ownership in taking responsibility for slow staff. My initial intention was not to write a poor or favorable review and to just be satisfied with the agreement that Daniel and I had made. But, after waiting and being put off with false texts- the review came to light. I received the $125 refund check today. I called my credit card company and let them know they could close the claim. At the end of the day, I don't feel bad about the honest review that I wrote, because it gives fair feedback to other people looking to use this company. So far they have been late on the packing day and now today for the move. They get in 30 min after the hour, didn't bring enough boxes so had to cut it short and charge you the minimum 4 hours even if they spent 3.5 hours. I'll update on how the move goes. read more

This company is great. Because of a health issue by my storage landlord, he asked me to vacate the warehouse I was leasing from him as soon as possible. I found a large storage unit and started calling movers--no luck. I called Daniel at All Star Moving. They had had a cancellation and could fit me in, but it was the next day at 8 am!! I explained that I had 20' high shelves filled with boxes, but he assured me that his guys could do this. Alex and Michael showed up the next day at 8 am exactly with a brand new 26' truck and worked continuously until I insisted they take a break. They climbed up my ladders and shelves and retrieved all my boxes. They loaded the boxes and my furniture carefully and unloaded it just as carefully, exactly the way I asked. I found them to take great care with my clients belongings and seemed to really care about making sure everything has been carefully packed and secured in the truck before they start on to the destination. Once at the move in destination they carefully unpack each item and make sure they place them exactly where I request. They set up the bed and all large items as requested. Before they leave they make sure that everything is where I want it and undamaged. Their prices are very fair. It has been 10 days since our move and I am still amazed, thinking back, at what a great job our team from All Star Moving did. I way under estimated the amount of time it would take to move our items from 3800 soft to 1500 sq ft. We had sold nearly every stick of furniture so it was mostly boxes!okay, well it was a lot of stuff. Daniel graciously suggested a 4 man crew. They showed up on time and were very courteous. They never complained if I changed my mind about where something should go. Mind you, we had 3 flights of stairs in the house and moved two flights up to our duplex...stairs for days. TY, ALAN, JAMES, and TERIC ran most of the time between trips. They joked with each other and had fun. They worked 12 hours with only two short breaks. When they finished they were still laughing and truly enjoying their time together and with us. I never heard them Complain even half heartedly when a piece of furniture was big or heavy. They constantly said "excuse me" if we crossed paths for which I clearly was in their way! They said thank you at every opportunity. Daniel is blessed to have this crew, and whomever is responsible for raising these young, hard-working men, "job well done". I called All Star Movers based on the positive Yelp reviews and I was beyond satisfied with the results. It was Sunday afternoon and we needed a moving truck for Tuesday or Wednesday. I didn't expect to get a hold of anyone on a Sunday afternoon, let alone did I expect that anyone would be able to schedule a truck and movers with just a 2 day notice. Well All Star Movers did just that. I called the number on the website and it rang through to the owner Daniel's cell phone. He took my call and spent the time to educate me on the moving process, prices and availability. I like supporting family owned businesses for this very reason. He seemed very dedicated to make sure our experience was exceptional and it was. On the day of the move, not only did the movers show up on time, but they showed up a few minutes early. Never expected that! Our movers were Ty and Pedro. They were courteous, attentive, careful with our furniture, and very polite. My husband and I both commented on how professional they were. Every time they passed by us, they would say "pardon me" or "excuse me", or something to that nature. They were also very careful with our things. We carefully watched them pack and carry all of our stuff to the truck and then unload and put everything away in our new home. They were both very strong, and I am so glad we had them to help us with the move. They were exceptional. I would definitely recommend using All Star Movers for your next move. I had Daniel and All Star Moving move items from one location to two separate locations in Orange County They arrived on time and worked quickly. The movers were friendly and professional. All items were carefully and safely loaded and unloaded into/off the vehicle. There is a minimum requirement of 4 hours but that seems to be the case with all movers i received quotes from. Overall, i would definitely recommend All Star Movers (I already referred a couple friends their way and they were satisfied as well) As for the details of my move please read on: After quickly loading the vehicle from the initial location (took about 1 hour) we were off to the first drop off location which was about 20 minutes away. When we arrived at the first location, I was informed that one of the safety harnesses that was holding my bed frame in the moving truck had broke en route and that the headboard and foot board of my bed were severely damaged. The driver immediately called the owner, Daniel and explained the situation. We took pictures of the damages and I was informed that it would be taken care of as soon as possible. I was a bit skeptical and worried that it couldn't and wouldn't be repaired. Please keep in mind that at the time, I had no idea what was going to happen and I was quite upset that the bed was damaged. I was assured by Daniel that everything would be resolved. We then moved the rest of my belongings to the second location without a hitch and we were done within 4 hours. Other than the damage to the head/foot boards, the move went smoothly and I was happy. A couple days later, I spoke to Daniel and I was impressed with the way he handled the situation. He was professional, courteous and understood my concerns. He could have told me that the insurance would cover the damage and I would get the bare minimum. But he went above and beyond to help resolve the damages and repair the bed frame. He sent out a repair man to take a look at the damages and was willing to pay out of pocket for the damages. The repair man was sent out to my house within a few days and after his visit, Daniel got back to me with information on the repairs. Luckily, I was able to find a family friend that was willing to fix the damages and Daniel sent me a check to pay for it out of his own pocket. The bed is now in great condition and Daniel with All Star Movers stuck to his word on making things right. It was unfortunate that the bed got damaged. It was just an unlucky situation that was resolved by a great owner that cares about his customers. I am also a business owner in the service industry and I can appreciate what Daniel did. Going above and beyond to deliver the type of customer service Daniel did is a rarity these days and this definitely separates him from his competitors. I will definitely use their services again. Great local business here in San Clemente. They moved us from our home of 14 years here in town and hustled. When some of the furniture didn't fit up the stairs they hoisted it over the balcony instead of giving up. They even placed everything exactly where my wife wanted them too. Ty and Bruce just helped us move and they were incredible! They showed up promptly, started working immediately, and were both very dedicated and hard working movers. We moved from an apartment to our first house that had new wood floors and new interior paint, but Ty and Bruce were aware of this so they were extra careful and didn't leave one scratch or mark! I am usually skeptical on movers, so this time I went to the BBB and found a highly rated moving company. They may cost a little more than the cheap guys, but if you ever have movers flake on you, then you know the importance of choosing a moving company that cares about their reputation like Daniel does with his company. The guys from All Star arrived on time, assessed the move, and began to very efficiently pack up the truck. A lot of times you hear people complain about the movers "sand bagging" and taking a bunch of breaks to get more hours on the job. This was certainly not the case with these guys. The only time they took a break was driving between jobs and a brief lunch, and I doubt they would have even taken a lunch had I not insisted. When the stuff came off the truck, nothing was damaged during transport. Another bonus. This was our 3rd set of movers in 3 days. Anthony and Richard far surpassed the other movers we had on the previous days. You didn't have to baby sit them like the others movers. Worst experience ever! I purchased a voucher from Groupon for $99 for two hours of moving services. When I called to schedule my move, the owner of the company, Daniel, was extremely rude. He informed me that there was a 4-hour minimum and I would have to pay another $200. I told him that there was no mention of a 4-hour minimum in the fine print of the voucher and he told me if I didn't like it to get a refund from Groupon. It was obvious that because my move was small (into an apt. three minutes away from my current home) and he wasn't going to make any money, he didn't want my business. Unprofessional and deceiving owner (At least in the Orange County location.) Called and left a message about a short-notice labor only move. I needed a couple people to help me load my apartment into a container on property to be shipped. He called me back in about an hour and said he did have some spots open with my move. Great! Things turned when I mentioned my living social voucher in where I get two guys for two hours. All of a sudden there is a 4 hour minimum and the voucher only covers 2, so another $200 was needed to help with my 1 bedroom apartment move along with a surcharge for fuel due to the 20+ mile distance needed to travel. (I live 4.7 miles from the zip code they listed on the voucher) There was no mention of minimums on the voucher or his website. While I was reading him the fine print on his own voucher, he cut me off and said he was at the gym and did not have time to discuss my move and would call me back in an hour because he was now wasn't sure that he had any time slots available for my move now that he thought about it. Disclaimer: I only gave a two day notice, but he did initially say he had availability before I mentioned the voucher. He never did call me back. I have filed a complaint with Living Social who were amazing a refunded my order. I hope he can show integrity and honor future vouchers or change the fine print to show the true "value" of the deal. So to recap: Made a business phone call to a customer while at the gym. I feel very valued. Told me he had availability until he realized that I was not a full-price customer. Added undisclosed fees and minimums that were not anywhere to be found on his website or on my voucher. Abruptly ended our phone conversation with the promise of a phone call an hour later which never came. All of this professionalism compiled into my one-star review which is too bad, due to other reviews, his employees seem to have integrity and excel in customer satisfaction. read more
