I called the tow company to confirm ETA and they said truck is 45 mins away. It showed up on time as expected. Driver was efficient and friendly. Got the car loaded up quickly. The only complaint was the driver was a little pushy about sending the car to a specific repair shop. But otherwise, professional and got the job done. But it does seem that tow companies may prioritize pick ups based on who is paying them. I used my credit card company's roadside assistance, which had a co-pay and pick up was quick. read more

The driver took it to a storage facility that wasn't apart of the original plan and has bee sitting there for over a week now. The worst towing company ever!!!! I had submit a claim through my insurance company and they hired all star towing to pick up our business van. They gave an estimated eta of 90mins which they pushed back 3 different times. I informed them that the van needed to be dropped off before 6pm to the auto repair shop of which they did not make. They kept my van in their holding facility. We have waited a full 24 hours and they have yet to tow my car to the repair shop and are refusing to complete the job. Don't ever book with them! Avoid at all costs!! Unfortunately they were dispatched through my insurance after my car overheated. Upon unloading my car it was noticed that the driver broke something on my tire. I call the office and the "receptionist" says unacceptable, the manager will call you tomorrow by X time. Mind you car was towed on Thursday. Friday comes and is halfway done with no phone call. I call AGAIN and I'm told oh he will call you by this time. That time comes and goes. I call again because obviously they are terrible when it comes to customer service. I am then told he will call me tomorrow, which is Saturday. Guess what? He never called. So after lots of unanswered phone calls and false promises I get a very rude call Monday/Tuesday. It's the manager already very confrontational. Basically curses me out so I hang up and report the damage to my insurance. Thankfully they have great customer service and we reach a resolution in no time! Per the very rude and hostile manager it should have been obvious he would reach out to me the next business day (even though I was previously told 3 different dates and times) I'm blowing the phone up( their phone system sucks and will have you on hold indefinitely and then hang up or simply no one will answer). All this was after he cursed my husband out by the way. Terrible management. I hope to never have any dealings with them again. Which I reiterated to my insurance company. Initially we were going to tow car to a dealership 5 miles away. But we realized our policy allowed us to tow car up to 50 miles so we changed the destination from Carson to OC. We called USAA to confirm the change and they updated the info right away. We communicated this to the tow tuck driver and he said sure no problem, just let the info update on my phone app and then we can go. Well it updated on his phone right away. He walked back to his tow truck, pretending to get it ready to put our car on it and just left !! Yes. That Mo'Fo took off. He didn't even give us a warning or tell us he didn't want to drive to OC ! We never got the oppty to discuss this with him further. We would have gladly just stayed local and towed our car to the dealer in Carson instead of OC. What a complete lack of regard for his own company and job. And his customers. He was so unprofessional and I hope Karma comes for him. We were so upset especially waiting over an hour for him to arrive. We called All Star several times but they didn't answer the phone and their voicemail was full so we couldn't even leave a message! HORRIBLE COMPANY. They don't even deserve 1 star and USAA has been notified to sever ties with this company. Do NOT waste your time or money. More, the review from Amer A. of 4/26/2025 looks like a classic fake review: a list of cliche positive adjectives, but with no details of the supposed service and zero human personality. "Amer A." is rather clearly All Star Towing trying to corrupt the reviews. This is symbolic of their dishonesty in everything they do. Our roadside assistance provider, Agero, who we pay every month for this service, continues to use All Star. We're leaving Agero for AAA simply bc they use All Star -- to which they've assigned us three times now. In essence: All Star gives Agero fake arrival ETA -- last night it was 30 minutes -- then just don't come. They push back the ETA. Then push it back again. They have a number that they didn't answer last night and, as people have noted, usually don't. The three times they've been assigned to us we've waited a minimum of 3 hours and last night was 4 hrs. When my son and I were broken down on Fairfax, we waited 5 hours. This was the one time I reached the All Star dispatcher, a man. He was aggressively unpleasant and told me "My guy showed up!! He waited half an hour for you but couldn't see you, so he left." All lies -- as my son noted "It's impossible for a tow truck to be anywhere on this long block and not see us." It was Sunday night, the street was empty, and Fairfax is extremely wide -- I took this photo to illustrate what the street looks like, what our car looked like, hood and trunk open and hazard lights on. Had a driver in reality been there, he would have seen us and we would have seen him. We were lit up like The Mother Ship from Close Encounters. Then the dispatch guy said "He may have been around the corner." Which is changing what he first said. And if he's "around the corner" then, no, by definition he wouldn't see us. Then he said "You weren't at the address you gave us." You can see in the photo that we are literally parked below the address, in white letters, on the side of the building. Third lie: "He called you five times but you didn't answer." Not only did he not call us, the usual way to communicate is by text. I screenshotted my cell and sent it to Agero: No texts from All Star. We called Agero repeatedly. Agero never let us get past its auto-service robot to a human being. Do not use Agero. Last, when a driver -- super nice, great guy, very helpful -- showed up, now nighttime -- look at the light in the photo; I took that after we'd already been waiting 2 hours -- he shook his head confused and said "I don't get why the hell he assigned me to you. I was way, way up in the valley near Tarzana. I'm the least efficient guy they could call to respond to you." read more

STAY AWAY. Stay far away from these guys if you'd like to have an easier process dealing with your car getting towed. I was recently involved in an accident and All Star was contracted through my insurance to tow my car to a designated auto body shop. Because the shop was closed they took it to their lot and it took 10 DAYS to finally get to the shop. They don't answer the phone half the time. They have people working the phone that have little to no information to give to you. They gave me and my adjuster and the tow contract company the run around. The poor guy working the phone knew little to nothing and kept telling me Dean, the manager would be in at 11am...1pm...2pm...or "I don't know when he'll be here or how to contact him." This happened over multiple days with both me and the adjuster just simply trying to get the car towed to the auto body shop. It's ridiculous. Accidents are stressful enough but having to deal with this tow shop made the accident seem fun in comparison. I've dealt with tow companies plenty and this is by far the most aggravating and infuriating experience I've had to date. Instead of trying to simply do their job, it seemed like maybe this company was more interested in scamming my insurance for storage fees because there's no reason it should've taken 10 days to release my car. I got a flat tire and my jack was too small for my lug nuts. I explained to the driver that my jack didn't fit and he used his axel to take off the lug nuts but said they were stripped and suggested for me to get my car towed to a tire shop. Obviously i didn't do that because that was a dumb idea and I just called my insurance to have them send a different company out and sure enough, they were able to complete the job and said the nuts were not stripped and obviously the driver didn't know what he was doing. It was just such a waste of time. Honestly if I could've made it where they didn't receive any money I would've. I should've been compensated. He had a horrible attitude and quite frankly was dense but I'm not going to argue you with a lazy worker. Not to be racist but this company sent out a lazy Mexican and the new company that my insurance called sent out a white man who was professional and completed the job w/o any issues. The newer generation of Hispanics is making the older ones look bad. Thank you Genie Road Services, because all star towing is complete shit! Apparently, I was very fortunate to have a positive experience with them, since all of their other reviews are terrible. My beautiful motorcycle was vandalized in Hollywood and had a flat tire. Progressive Roadside Assistance summoned All Star Towing, but they were nowhere near my location. It took them 90 minutes or more to finally arrive, and I did not receive good updates beforehand. I read their reviews before they came and was quite concerned about how careful they would be with my motorcycle. But the driver Jay was terrific. He called me en route to let me know he was on the way. Upon arrival, he was very nice and professional. I had cut up a towel for use in protecting the areas of the motorcycle secured by the tie down straps, and Jay carefully placed them on the front forks so no damage occurred. I drove with him to the shop where it was dropped off, and it all went smooth as silk. So on the basis of all these other negative reviews, I certainly would not recommend this company, and just consider myself lucky that Jay did such a good job. read more

I had an awful experience with AllStar. I had a flat in a parking garage in the middle of the night. I called Roadside Assistance and the dispatched to AllStar. They never came after 2 hours and did not pick up my calls or respond to my text. Then the next morning, All Star was called again and this time they sent a truck that was too big even though I told them the clearance of the garage. They said they'd send another. But again, they never came after many attempts from me and my insurance to call them. The worst part is they tried to lie to my insurance and told them they completed the job. I cancelled the request after 8 hours. Really unprofessional and placed me in a dangerous situation of being alone at night. They pick up other cars while on the way to you meanwhile, texting you every half hour that the ETA is 20 minutes. This went on for three hours for me. If you try to call, it goes straight to voicemail which of course is full because they don't want to be bothered. if you look at the automated map that tells you where they are, it always lies and says that they are already at your location.
