first thing i gotta say i love the plants here. the outdoor patio has amazing plants setup with a place to sit that is so beautiful! i love that there's a giant arrangement of plants in the middle with herbs, succulents, and a little tree, and then all around you are plants growing on the perimeter. nice ambiance forsure here with people chit chatting about. the food was fresh and flavorful. i had the farmers market salad which had a variety of seasonal veggies, pumpkin seeds, and i got steak added on top. it was 17 dollars + 14 for the steak, so 31 dollars. didn't like how there wasn't much dressing on the salad, felt like it lacked flavor in that way as some leaves of the salad didn't touch the dressing. the steak was cooked perfectly though, with lots of flavor and thick chunks of meat. my friend got a breakfast burrito but he didn't finish it, nor did he take leftovers. so it makes me think why? he did like the little cookie he got though, said it was really good. the latte i ordered here was watered down and the way they pressed the espresso or something, it just didn't hit. i make espresso at home a lot and can tell the difference if like the beans are stale or the machine/press isn't fully packed or clean. so i was kinda sad about that! the worker/owner maybe was nice though. he came out to the line to offer little glasses of wine, which was kind, but i do not drink alcohol... but then he offered a little donut and that was good. read more

This place has been on my list for awhile, but the lines always scare me away. I finally decided to suck it up and wait one weekend afternoon. A server came out and handed everyone menus and then came back with water for everyone in the line. Then, he came back and passed out free homemade donuts. It made the wait SO much more bearable knowing that they care about you and are trying their best to make the experience less miserable. The wait didn't end up being that long. Overpriced food-- burger was sloppily made and still costed an arm and a leg, the famous cheesy egg toast was wet and undercooked in the middle. We split a few dishes, menu is handwritten as it constantly changes. -Grilled Octopus: Great starter dish! A few longer cuts of octopus in addition to smaller chopped pieces of octopus mixed in with everything else - greens, potatoes, and other veggies. Fresh taste, a little citrusy. You kind of have to go fishing for some of the octopus pieces as you can confuse them for potatoes. Good dish! -Roasted Chicken: Beautifully cooked, really tender and flavorful. NEVER AGAIN...although this is a very charming looking place, beware of an attitude that we were there to serve THEM, not the other way around. We arrived on 9/19 at 5:10pm for a 5:15pm reservation for 6 people prior to attending a show at the Greek Theatre; however, we were missing one in our party. The hostess asked us to wait at the rear bar area until our missing party was there. There was only one other party seated in the restaurant. Upon learning that the missing person wasn't sure when she was going to get there, if at all, I approached the hostess and asked to be seated. At that point, as if she was an android, proceeded to tell me again we could be seated when our party of 6 was complete. I told her that we were now a party of 5 and want to be seated. She again said the exact same thing. We went back and forth like that a few more times until I lost my temper and decided to leave. This restaurant charges a $40 fee for each party in a reservation and, needless to say, they refused to credit us for leaving...And, the owner refuses to answer my complaint. I understand "trendy" and "snooty" in some upscale locales but this one takes the cake!!! read more

We had the most perfect meal last night. Our friendly server, Ruth, recommended a delicious rosé (I wish I could recall the name) and their uber fresh melon salad (which was the embodiment of summertime). We also enjoyed thier gnocci which had the best vodka sauce I've ever tasted (the gnocci and the sauce was better than a lot of the Italian spots in the neighborhood). Their brazino is a menu staple and was cooked to perfection served with greens and crispy rice. I wish I had the budget to frequent here- the ingredients and the care that goes into their food is exquisite. The outdoor space is also lovely. read more

My cousin and I got the STOMACH FLU from the breakfast burrito at All Time. On Saturday Dec. 14th around 10:30am both of us ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon and avocado and were both sent into a terrible bout of the stomach flu 24 hours later. So much worse than food poisoning, we were both vomiting and had liquid diarrhea for HOURS AND HOURS. It was absolutely miserable. I had to go to the ER due to the immense pain and loosing too many fluids, and my cousin had to stop her roadtrip to NorCal halfway and pay for a hotel because she was physically unable to drive. This kind of bacteria could kill a small child or old person. When we just connected the dots that we each got sick from eating the same thing, I knew it would be important to inform the restaurant. The cherry on top: I called them at 6pm today (Tuesday Dec. 17th) and they said "Oh no sorry that happened. We came here for breakfast before Griffith Park hike. Order at the door/ register and find your own table. Mostly outdoor or patio sittings which are really nice in the morning with plants surrounding. We tried the breakfast burrito and cheesy eggs on toast. Both taste good but i like the breakfast burrito more (avocado, eggs, potatoes, cheese) as it has varieties. Cheesy eggs are cheesy. Toast is thick and crisp. it will taste more balanced with some veggies. I love getting eggs for breakfast and can do two eggs easy. This cheesy egg toast is a bit much for me to stomach. Also Next time i would just order one of these two plus a salad or yogurt parfait (something light to pair it up). This breakfast did last me thru the hike and even lunch!! read more

This is my first time ever leaving a Yelp review but I feel this restaurant has a lot of opportunity for improvement. I went out for a client dinner this past week and was beyond disappointed. To start off this review I'd like to mention I have worked in hospitality and service for many years in a wide variety of establishments. As a server your job is to give the customer a great experience, end of discussion. My server was a young lady that seemed way beyond over the entire day and just customers in general. I truly don't think this is the industry for her. The welcome was cold no introduction for someone visiting their first time. Very short and cold responses making it almost uncomfortable to want to ask questions. When we get to the menu I can't say much because as a vegan my options were limited. I almost paid $40 for a bowl of beans and 4 pieces of croutons but decided to send it back and I enjoyed my wine as my guest eat their meal. We also looked at a 3 page wine list but only had about 4 options for by the glass, which isn't a deal breaker but very interesting. In the end we ended up leaving after my guest eat and decided to head to the restaurant down the street so I could get a real meal. And what a fantastic idea it was! My friends and I went here for lunch. I had ordered the burger and asked for it on lettuce since I'm GF. The waitress said that they don't do that so I asked for no bun just to move things along. She then informed me that they typically don't recommend no bun since people have been disappointed in the past. Which I feel like maybe indicates that they should offer a bun-less option or that the burger itself needs revision? When my burger came it came on the bun. Im not celiac so it wasn't an issue but I was a little confused. After taking the bun off I'll admit it was pretty minimal. Only a smaller meat patty, cheese and grilled onions. No lettuce, no tomato etc. It was a delicious piece of wagu so I can't complain about that and the potatoes it came with were also good but when you pay $23 for a burger and can't even get it on a few pieces of lettuce while MASSIVE salads are being bussed out in front of you to other tables, it's pretty disappointing. We finished our food and were talking for a few mins after our plates were cleared and I noticed the hostess started hawking our table. Passive aggressively walking by a few times looking at us. Another server came to take our glasses, I still had a couple sips of my drink left but it was taken so quickly I couldn't say anything to stop him. The hostess then came to our table to ask if they could get us anything else- again nudging us to leave. Yet another server offered us cookies for the road. Which was very nice and it was a good cookie but it was definitely a get out of here bribe haha. We had been there *maybe* a total of an hour including waiting in line to order. The table next to us was seated before us and left when we did with no harassment but there was admittedly a celebrity seated there so maybe that helped. I understand that they're busy and it's hard to get people to leave when you have them order and pay before sitting but it made us all feel unwelcome to finish our drinks and conversation. The breakfast burrito smacked!! This was honestly probably one of the best I've had in LA. The French toast was pretty good as well, but the breakfast burrito was the real star of the show. The bacon was cooked perfectly and the red homemade hot sauce on the side was a perfect complement to the flavors of the burrito. Well I just finished my $18.92 breakfast burrito, and it was really tasty. That's $13 for the burrito and $1 extra each for the bacon and the avocado, but they don't tell you about those extra charges on the menu. Plus $1.42 for tax and $2.50 (that's 16.7%) for a tip, which I had to punch in manually because the smallest % tip that have on the machine is 18%. But, hey, maybe I'm being cheap and 18% is the recommended minimum tip these days for restaurants that don't have table service. I don't know. So yep I just paid $18.92 for a breakfast burrito. And I wasn't even in Beverly Hills or Brentwood. Or Pacific Palisades. It was in Los F*ing Feliz where I got this particular $19 burrito. And it was about 4 doors down Hillhurst from a long standing Mexican place where you can get a burrito for $6.50, and the nice folks there don't expect an 18% tip for counter service. Maybe you can't get a nice breakfast burrito with $1 extra bacon and $1 extra avocado, but if you wait till lunchtime, they will make you a super nice $6.50 carnitas burrito. But I digress. The food at All Time is very good. But it is also insanely expensive. Only in Los Feliz and a few nearby neighborhoods would you find the kind of 30- or 40-something hipsters who have given up all hope of buying a house, so they are just BLOWING their money on really expensive food and coffee. That 998 square foot shack over on Commonwealth that's listed for $900k is just always going to be out of reach, so you might as well buy that $19 breakfast burrito, the $42 branzino ("a whole dang fish"! says the menu) or the $100 "ribeye for two". Came to All Time for dinner after hanging nearby at Griffith Park. Street parking can be a bit difficult to find around dinner rush time. I thought the food was fine, but just VERY overpriced (especialky when my friend compared to her notes from pre-COVID when we were debating what to order). We got everything to share for a group of 3: -Good Ass Salad (couldn't add protein for dinner, only can add for lunch). Got the lemony dressing on the side and portion is good for sharing. Lettuce, radish, snap peas, pumpkin seeds, and some type of zucchini or squash? -Octopus, some parts were a bit overcooked/tough but the pickled veggies it came with were delicious. -Ceviche was fresh, generous portions of shrimp and fresh veggies/pico.
