    Mushroom, spinach, and cheese omelet!

This a great place to eat and enjoy good southern food at its finest. They open up early and close mid-afternoon. I remember coming here when it was a Dairy Queen in the '80's. The service is always top notch! I have yet to have a bad meal here. The prices are quite reasonable. I love their home fries. Seasoned just right. They are pretty busy on the weekend. Good luck beating the regulars and church crowd. The wait on Sunday I attribute to the Baptist Church located next door. I like that they always keep your drinks filled! Whether it's water, coffee, or tea. Drop on by and give this old-fashioned eatery a whirl. It will be well worth the wait and the drop by. Ignore those that leave negative feedback. You want salt pick up the salt shaker and add more salt, just leave mine alone it's perfect! Food already has too much salt added. March 2025

First time to Allen Cafe, first impression, quick seating, friendly greeting! I'm going to give them an extra star for the very friendly service and the bisquits and gravy, both excellent. They are not experts at breakfast burritos, and the salsa was lacking, too tomatoey with no taste of onion or cilantro, no spice. Orange juice was watered down, could be a one time thing. I don't want to judge them for the one dish, I'll come back to try something else next time. Great service!

Left over grease from farmers skillet

The farmers skillet was just half a cup of hash browns and toppings in a lot of grease the gravy was pretty bad and and the scrambled eggs where pretty much just a overcooked flat omelet

Located in a never-ending strip mall in Allen, we walked in and got our name on the list. It was 11:30 am, so the early church crowd was coming in alongside us. We were told it would be about 30 minutes, but it ended up only being about 10. Inside, Sunview is loaded with Texas décor all over the walls. It feels pretty small, but they definitely take advantage of every corner of the space for seating with their booths and tables. The prices are pretty fair for a brunch spot. One thing that definitely caught me off guard was how many things were on their double-sided menu. It felt like a legal document with how extensive it was. It is definitely overwhelming, but I locked in and ordered a Meat Lover's Omelet. It's filled with bacon, sausage, ham, and American cheese. For my sides, I got hash browns and two pancakes, which is a steal for a $14 omelet. It wasn't long before the food came out, and I crushed the omelet. It needed some salt and pepper personally, but it was pretty good and hearty, especially with the pancakes as a side. The impression from my brother and sister-in-law was that they wanted to come back here often, and I'll probably find myself returning next time I'm in Dallas. RIYL: More meal options than seats at a restaurant.

"For Dad": For the name, the portion size felt a little small and the dish itself is pretty simple. You can choose between bacon or sausage, and the pancakes were fluffy and delicious. One of my sausages was slightly undercooked, but overall the dish was good.

We happened to meet the friendly owner, John, while walking by one afternoon and mentioned we were from out of town looking for a place to host our event. He told us they rent out the restaurant in the evenings. Many of our guests were staying at the nearby Denizen Hotel, which made the location incredibly convenient. I have to say John Zhang and the entire team went above and beyond to make our event special, fun and stress-free. The food was absolutely excellent. I'll admit, I was a little unsure at first since it's known as a breakfast restaurant, but the quality and quantity exceeded all expectations -- kudos to the chef! The drinks were great, the service was amazing, and the atmosphere was so fun and welcoming. As an added bonus, there happened to be an outdoor concert that evening, so many of our guests enjoyed sitting on the patio listening to live music. It made the night even more memorable. Thank you, John and the entire Broken Yolk team, for helping make our daughter's wedding weekend so special. We truly appreciate everything you did to make the Welcome Party such a success!

We were looking for a good taqueria in Allen and found it here. This is a cozy place with about 10+ tables, playing Mexican music videos, etc. (but not loud enough to interfere with conversation). To try things out, we ordered their grilled cebolla/jalapeño combo, and 4 tacos -pastor, chorizo, barbacoa, & lengua (see photos). These are Mexican Street taco style with 2 corn tortillas. I tried the pastor, chorizo & barbacoa - they were all excellent! Served with onion, cilantro, lime slices and radish slices. Very high quality! I would be happy to eat any of them again, but would probably quadruple down on the pastor because it was just great (and I am a pastor fan - I am still in search of the El Tizoncito style al pastor tacos that you can find in DF, but until I do, these will keep me happy). While I can eat lengua (if I can't find pastor), but my wife is a connoisseur and she liked them (and messaged a friend about them). The Cebolla asados with jalapeños were amazing and an incredible value at ~ $2. We had no chance to try La Sirena (paleteria y fruteria), but it looked very promising. We will be back to try their breakfast offerings. We feel quite fortunate to have found this place.
