Accidentally, download a virus on my Mac. In all my years of owning a PC/Mac, I have never done this. I didn't know what to do and I didn't want to stand in line at the local Apple Store. I originally tried to Google a local computer repair. I didn't see anything I liked. I then went to Yelp, Allstates popped up with great reviews. I called and spoke with John. He was very friendly and knew what I'd did wrong. He told me to bring my computer over. When I arrived, I notice how neat and clean the shop was. Most repair shops you go to are in disarray. Not Allstates! I told John that I was the one who'd called. We turned my computer on and he told me he could clean it up and quoted me less than I thought I'd have to pay. He told me he'd have the next day around 10am. I informed him that his Yelp add stated that I'd receive $10 off my first repair order. He told me yes, I'll honor that. The next day, I arrived around 10:30am and my computer was finished. John was very pleasant and gave me some tips on how to navigate through my MAC. If I ever have anymore problems with any of my MAC or Apple products, I will definitely bring them back to Allstates Computers. read more

I just bought a new laptop, and I'm not the most savvy computer guy but I can do OK, especially since you can find so much info on youtube or google. I was trying to transfer my contacts from AOL (I know AOL is old school, don't mock me!) to Outlook, and I tried the procedure many times over. I was frustrated, so I decided to try Allstates Computers. I just showed up with out even a call before hand or an appointment late in the afternoon. The gentleman who work there welcomed me in, and really sincerely wanted to help me. He tried the published way that I had tried several times with out success. He then tried some more creative ways to move my contacts over and after a while he did it!!! I was so happy. He was VERY reasonable with his charges as well. John is a very kind man and didn't give up until he put a huge smile on my face. I am so grateful to him for his help. I give him a 10 out of 10. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Allstate Computers! Took it to him around 6pm and by 10am the next morning he presented me with a fresh laptop which has been running beautifully for the past two months. His price for staying late and coming in early to get my hardware fully functional was extremely fair. This place is AMAZING! I brought my white Mac Book to have new battery and bottom casing re- installed last week. Their price was the cheapest I could find. When I called I was quoted a fair price and I like fair because I realize this businessman has a family to feed and keep a roof over their heads. I had John install a New 1.TB Samsung SM961 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD in my Dell XPS 15 9550 and the 16gb XPS ram upgrade as well. Just incase you don't know this entails backing up the current drives data and removing the old 256gb SSD to install the new SSD drive. Best and honest service for computers! Thought my 3yr old laptop had a virus. When attempting to log in it would start populating a series of numbers and letters automatically where my password would go. John at Allstate immediately started testing it and discovered I had a damaged keyboard. He researched the cost online for a replacement part and showed me the results: new $400 or used $200. He suggested I get a small external keyboard for $20. He even backed up my hard drive onto my portable. No charge as his website stated, "free diagnosis" unless he repaired it. Honest man! My son brought his computer to get checked out. He had dropped water on the mother board. We were hopping it could be fixable. I read the reviews for this place and so we gave them a try. Unfortunately the only way to fix it is by replacing the motherboard. But fortunately for us they didn't charge us anything. I was very surprised and could not believe they charged us absolutely nothing. They gave us a complete analysis and a list of what he had tested and all of the findings. read more

He quoted standard screen repair pricing so I brought it in but he ended up finding a cheaper screen online and charged me less than expected. Took my computer and printer into Allstates , as my printer was not working. John found out that my printer was dead and indicted that it was not worth spending money to see if it could even be repaired. It was 6.6 years old and I could buy a new one for $125. I appreciated his honesty. He also ran some diagnostics on my computer and found some malicious adware and a couple of other bad apples. He cleaned up my system and software. I was very worried when I turned on my Dell laptop computer and there was nothing on the screen except various shades of blue! I took it to Allstates and left it there for diagnostic testing. About an hour later, I received a call from the owner (?) telling me that the computer screen needed to be replaced. The cost was slightly less than $200, and my computer was ready to be picked up in just a few days (it would have been faster but this happened during the Fourth of July holiday week). It turns out I caused the problem by cleaning the computer screen with Windex - oops! The owner instructed me on how to properly clean my screen so it won't happen again. I really recommend this place for computer repairs. My laptop had been sluggish for months and eventually started crashing on a regular basis. John quickly diagnosed the problem as a faulty hard drive. He replaced it, cleaned up my machine, and even put some screws into it that were mysteriously missing. One of the best experiences with computer repair I have ever had. One day turn around on my Mac Pro. It wouldn't boot and was having video issues. It's running as well as it did when I first took it out of the box. New boot drive w/ OS and a refurbished video card for under $200! John is great guy and runs a wonderful shop. I recently cracked the screen on my MacBook Pro 15" (retina) and so contacted Allstate Computers in regard to repairing it. John was very responsive and helpful. I didn't want to be parted form my computer for any longer than I had to be so he allowed me to pay a deposit and he then ordered the screen and called me when it arrived. John answered his phone( not an answering machine) and was was able to fix my virus infection overnight at a fair price.I then brought in and older laptop, my back-up, and he doubled the memory and made it easily 3 times faster, again at a reasonable price. I made the mistake of downloading a bogus upgrade on Netgear which corrupted files. He cleaned it overnight for free! People, I believe we have found an HONEST MAN. Definitely check this guy out.
