I love Allure! They are the only place I go for my eyebrow wax because they get my brows on point and whatever wax they use is the only one that doesn't break me out! I've seen several different techs and they always do a great job on my nails and they will actually talk to you (if you talk to them!) without it being awkward. The only plus side to this place is that I was seated as soon as I walked in the door. However, I sat there for 35 minutes before a nail tech decided to come over and start my manicure. This place needs a course in sterilization and health. As my tech was doing my manicure, he sneezed into his hands and then proceeded to reach for mine- without washing his hands in between. After asking him to wash his hands, I was given attitude for the remainder of the time I was there. I have been a long time customer but as of late, each experience had become worse and worse. There are new techs each time I go. I'm feeling more rushed. The time they used to take with your nails is gone. They used to push a drink down your throat when you walked in or sat down and now they barely ask. When a tech messes up and you need a repair the next day they attempt to charge you. Rosie is good but she is so popular, you can barely get her. I moved to Kennesaw a few months ago from Athens and have been searching for a new place to get my nails done when I was recommended by a few friends to try Allure Nails. After visiting a few times, I must say I like it a lot. They are a bit disorganized with so many people trying to do so many different things at once in a small space and always have at least 2 or 3 people waiting. They have a wide variety of colors to choose from and are very clean. Aside from a little disorganization and a small work space, they do a great job! They make sure you get the results you want; one time I wanted my acrylics to be shorter so the lady continued to file them down until they were the length I wanted. First off I want to thank this nail salon for helping me at the last minute! It's Christmas time, soof course Im busy doing shopping and I'm a mother of two and wife so life never stops for me! I ran out of time to get my nails done and I needed a fill in terribly. I called this salon on Monday around 1:30 in the afternoon while on my break at work and asked if I could come in to get my nails done on my lunch which was at 4. The woman that answered the phone was so polite and accepted my request immediately which was very shocking to me because I called less than 24 hrs to schedue and appt and said that I needed to be back to work at 5. As soon I as walked I just told them who I was and she said, "oh honey sit down we'll take care of you." And they did just that! The young lady that did my nails was well aware of my situation and knew I was pressed for time. She made me feel like I was her priority at that time which I appreciated. My nails turned out AMAZING !!! I expected a little mess up here and there because she had to rush a little but not at all. I was shocked and extremely satisfied with my service! These are the rudest people I've ever come in contact with. The girl doing my pedicure cut my toes, the even cut through one of my toenails. It hurt so bad I almost cried. Actually I screamed. The guy doing my nails refused to put more than one coat of gel on, so you can literally see through my nails. They look horrible. Then, they charged me an extra $10 to take off my gel polish that I had on when I came in. Isn't that part of my manicure and pedicure when I'm getting gel put right back on? read more

I was dying for a manicure these past few weeks, and I knew this place offered a discount for KSU students. So I walked in and was immediately greeted by the owner and she was so sweet! Loved being offered something to drink too. The only reason why I'm giving my visit three stars is because 1) my technician ran my card without giving me my student discount, even after I let her know I was one. I let her know and she gave me a hard time, saying it was "only $1." Yeah it's only $1 but still. 2) It's been a few days since my manicure and my cuticles on my right hand are absolutely shredded. She didn't use the cream that most people use to soften the skin on my right hand (didn't think about saying anything at the time) but for some reason used it on the left? Anyway I'd like to give this place one more try in a few weeks, perhaps with a different technician and hopefully I will be able to replace my review with a better one. read more

Unsanitary!! They have unlicensed techs performing pedicures. I had a tech start washing her tools in the tub water that she had already used to clean off the scrub gel but also pour my dead skin into. And it's not like she used fresh water to clean them she used the jet.... I asked her if she puts it back in her box or if she sanitized them and she said the box. I asked to speak to a manager and she said they sterilized their tools but the girl had no idea what the manager was talking about and looked confused when she showed her the sterilized bags and machines. Who knows how many pedicures she gave and cleaned her tools this way before she gave me my pedicure. When I got home I felt some tenderness on the bottom of my foot, there is a small cut. I'm terrified now of a potential infection. read more

THESE PEOPLE LAZY LAZY LAZY. I went there and got there at 5:45 but did not end up leaving until 7:30. When the only device that I was getting was a full set. The young girl in there who does nails started off nice. I wanted to like her. Once she starts to put the powder on when she's done I tell her that she didn't print it all the way over and on my thumb nail it looked like I alraady needed a fill in her response and I quote "it's not that high" I literally lost it. I was idk fix it I don't like it. And the manager lady who I think runs it came over to explain what happened and tried to tell me that for the me to cover my nail bed they would not be held liable for anything happening to my nails. I'm like I don't even care just cover it. They send over a different lady to fix the mistake of the first little girl. And while she did make it better when we were done I asked her could she file the nails back after she polished them and she told me that she couldn't because it would cause it to ship. But I have that done after set I do. I hate my nails and I won't be going back ever. My nails have pits in them where they weren't filed correctly. They appreciate their customers and treat each one special. The decor is very contemporary and the salon is emaculate. Highly recommended when you need a little pampering. I had recently broke one nail and when i came back for the repair, i had some lady with a fro and she was at my regular nail salon, Lush Nail Bar and got fried. My repair was horrible!!! Not the same shape or length, burned me with the electric filer and had the ODDASITY to ask me if i wanted them longer . I decided to come here when my usual nail place was closed for Thanksgiving weekend. It was pretty busy when I walked in but only waited for ten minutes. Since it was my first time there I decided to just get a regular manicure. I figured if they can't do a proper manicure then I don't trust them to do anything else. But the young woman did a fabulous job. As I watched the salon atmosphere I noticed there were a lot of regulars and the techs knew their names. They also had conversations with the clients instead of just talking amongst themselves. The prices where good a tiny bit more expensive than my normal place. Of course the ONE time I decide to try a different salon I have a bad experience. I came in on my only free day to see if they had a spot open. I was asked to have a seat and wait, I was kind of in a hurry so I was going to leave if the wait was to long. They said it will be 10-15 mins but it wasn't. When I got up to leave the main girl said "are you leaving or staying because she can do your nails right now?"....which was also a lie because she took like 7 more mins. They also can't do anything special, I wanted ombré nails but they didn't even know what that was. After seeing a picture they simply said no, and wouldn't even try. Option number 2 - I brought stickers I wanted to try. I was also told no. Wouldn't even try. So while I was sitting down, I took one out to try myself on my name. Rosie told the girl to go on the next costumer since "I wanted to do my nails myself" and told me to go home and do it. I ended up not getting the fill in, just a polish change. As I was getting ready to go, I put my two colors and stickers and my purpose, and Rosie RUDLY asked the girl something implying that I stole the polish from her... When they don't even have that brand. That was my second time there, my first was months ago, and they did my nails crooked because they did it while I got my toes done. TO SUMMERIZE Rosie is super rude, and her staff is not capable of doing anything special ....like the popular ombré nails. Not even STICKERS. And they won't even attempt it. read more

Visited this facility last night and although i was only going for a manicure they convinced me to do a manicure and pedicure. I told the man who was going to do my pedicure that i was skeptical about a pedicure because I have had many bad experiences (sensitive feet) and he told me to give him a try...well and good thing I did. I got the "classic mani pedi" ($30) and was amazed that Lee spent about 30 minutes massaging my feet and legs, not painful but actually pretty relaxing. They also offer a variety of sodas and even wine for free. My manicure was done by a lady named Leah and she was just as good at her job as Lee. Yes and the reason I know their names is because they actually talked to me the entire time. This was the first time ever that I was at a nail salon beign talked to instead of feeling "talked about". Came here on a lunch break to get a pedicure and manicure with my real nails (no gels or acrylics). I had an hour and a half, so I figured that should be plenty of time for both of those. Was I wrong. I sat in the pedicure chair with my feet soaking until they pruned waiting for the nail tech to come and do my pedicure. They do not do the full service pedicure for the price stated, things like scrubbing off dead skin is an extra $5. Which is included at most nail shops. While my toenail polish was drying my nail tech started on my manicure while I was still in the pedicure chair. I realized that I was running out of time and so I asked the nail tech to do my top coat on my toes so that my toe nails can dry for the next half an hour while she works on my nails. She seemed to ignore me, so I repeated myself. She finally decided to ask someone to translate, and then I heard her attitude without even knowing the language. And she continued doing what she was doing with my nails. I had to take hands back from her and point to my toes to get her to do what I asked her to do. At that point I only had about 20 mins left before I had to go to my meeting. I can't wear open toed shoes to work so I let them dry for as long as I could before putting my shoes on. And of course I messed up the polish on three toenails. After work I went back to the place and said I needed polish touched up on three toes, she tried to paint two heavy layers of polish over the toes and after she did it I told her it didn't look right and she needed to start over. Again she tried to remove a PORTION of the nail polish and keep the thick mound on my foot and AGAIN I had to tell her to remove it all and start over. She finally did and I was able to sit and let them dry properly and they ended up looking good. But it was a long journey getting there. I also noticed one girl came in, a student, and she had an appointment. She waited half an hour and was running out the door due to being late for class even though she had an appointment for a fill-in. Even though this place is really popular for some reason, I won't be coming here again. read more

The first salon to ever greet me and do what I requested! Rosie was the absolute best! I did a full set overlay, with gel polish (in French style). She took her time, offered beverages, and even made a few suggestions that I decided to go along with. She was not 'pushy' or 'money hungry' like other salons and nail techs that I've been to, who try to overwhelm you with other add-ons for more money. If that makes sense. It's been a little while ver two weeks, and my nails still haven't come off or show signs of 'ware' other than the needed fill-in. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND allure nails. read more

She didn't make it clear that she was talking about my broken nails length. Not the rest of my nails length. But then she continued to cut down my nails. I came here to get white tip acrylic and she was so careful which is my biggest concern because I'm scared of getting cut. They gave me water while I waited but I believe they have soda too. They are clean and very friendly. The nail tech next to my station was talking to me also. I felt very invited and welcome when I was here. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because she took over an hour to do my nails and while I appreciate how careful she was and took her time.. I did not plan to be there for so long. I have been going to this nail salon for a few months now. Only one time have I had to wait an extended amount of time. All of the nail tech's, except one, have always done an excellent job on my nails and when I get a pedicure. They offer you a complimentary beverage each time and I am always in and out in a reasonable time. Most of the time they will do 3 coats of polish rather than the standard 2. I called today for a pedicure appointment. Apparently an appointment means that they put you in a pedicure chair to wait instead of waiting up front. And they are working on so many people at once that the chemical odor is overpowering. After 20 minutes waiting in the chair I would have left except that I am traveling tomorrow and my toenails were a disaster. Finally the tech arrived and rushed through the pedicure, which I would rank as a "C" on a scale of "A" to "F". Then she told me to put the sandals I came in back on. I knew that would not work because of the condition of my feet. She grabbed the sandals and put them on herself. The left went on OK because that foot is pretty straight. However, the right one has a hammertoe and some overlapping toes, and the sandal marred the polish on the big toe and the smallest one. So then she tried to fix it, which was fairly successful on the little toe, but no-go on the big toe. Finally I insisted that she take that polish off and start over on that toe, which she did with the sandal still on the foot. Then she walked me to the front, and naturally the same toes were still rubbing, so the big toe polish was ruined again. This time she sat on the floor and fixed it up, pretty much. By then I was ready to just leave, but I put my feet under the dryer and waited for a while. She came and asked me to pay but didn't want me to get up and go to the desk - she took my card and ran it. I didn't stiff her on the tip even though I felt like it, because I know she is probably making minimum wage if even that. I sat for a while longer under the dryer and eventually just got up and left. Nobody said a word as I left. I won't be going back. read more
