If i could give 0 stars i would. Ally motors is extremely unprofessional and overall rude. The owner is very rude and always talks down on you. i bought a kia from here about four months ago. Asked multiple questions car looked fine and they told me that they had to service it before I could come and pick it up and give it an oil change and everything like that. Once I got my car, I had it for a month and it completely broke down while I was driving. Every single light came on, and I had to get it towed. I was told that there was absolutely no oil in my car and that my engine was completely seized. Once we brought up the problems and concerns with the owner of ally motors he told me that it was not his team's fault and that they thought they put oil in there. If you are a professional setting, you should know to check your cars for absolutely everything before you sell it. They did absolutely everything in their power to make sure that they were not at fault for the car damage that I had to pay for. I brought up the concerns over email and text message and was never responded to. I got the car fixed and now a few months later at the same thing happened and the engine completely seized because they told me they had got the engine replacement but they didn't. All they did was jumpstart my car and call it a day. So now I'm having to deal with an engine replacement that I will be paying for due to their lack of professional professionalism. If I were you, I would never buy a car from here in this place should be out of business. It is like a huge scam. I'm only 19 and this was my first big purchase by myself and I'm highly disappointed with the lack of professionalism and money that this has caused me. MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. I bought a used car from Ally Motors in April 2025. It only had 58K miles on it. It is a decent car. If you are looking at a car in their inventory, I hope you consider and benefit from my experience: 1) Ally Motors sold me with a car in 2025 that appeared to have "new" tires (the treads were good), but the tires were manufactured in 2011. This is a serious SAFETY HAZARD, and in my opinion it is unethical to sell a car with tires that old. Within a few weeks of having the car, one tire had major sidewall damage down to the wire. Even if the tire treads look new, don't assume the tires are new or safe. Ally Motors may even tell you the tires are new. Locate the DOT code on each tire to determine manufacture date (learn how by Googling: "age of tire"). If the manufacture date is not visible from the outside, ask them to show you the inside of the tires so you can see the date yourself. This is a serious SAFETY HAZARD, and in my opinion it is unethical to sell a car with tires that old. Within a few weeks of having the car, one tire had major sidewall damage down to the wire. 2) Ask for a spare tire - they did not include a spare in the sale until I asked. 4) Open and close each door of the car several times, and inspect the mechanisms. The rear driver's side door of the car literally broke off after opening/closing it just 3x after purchase due to a rusted "door check." If we had checked the door before purchase, it would have fallen off at their lot, and they would have needed to replace it. 4) Test the 2nd key fob - they only gave me the second fob the day I drove away with the car, and I learned too late that it was completely broken (not just the battery) and cost for replacement would be $100. 5) Test the headlights and parking lights- I tested them before purchase only to learn they were not fully functional; at my request they were repaired before purchase. 6) Turn the gas cap for yourself. Make sure it is fully functioning. A few weeks after buying the car, the car was stalling and driving poorly, turns out the gas cap was broken and just sitting on the opening, not able to be screwed in any more. Once we replaced the gas cap, the car was fine. I was willing to overlook the small issues, but when I learned the age of the tires I contacted Ally Motors immediately via email. They wrote back, but have not taken any responsibility for selling me a car with old tires ("we just check the original listing of the car , and it was not advertise with new set of tires..") They asked that I bring the car back to them. I do not have the time to do that (they are 1.5 hrs from where I live) and I do not trust that it will be handled properly. I asked that they contribute toward the cost of the new tires I am purchasing, and to-date they have not. I plan to follow up further on this gross negligence. read more

i had a great experience buying a vehicle through Ally Motors. We live quite far away, and Pavel took time (on a snowy evening) to send us a video of the vehicle we were interested in, Icluding the interior and engine compartment with the vehicle running so we could hear how it sounds. Subsequently, we took the vehicle in for a pre-purchase inspection at a local shop, and Pavel was very transparent and accommodating throughout the process. We asked to take the car for a test drive and we assumed he'd come with us, but he just put the plate on and walked away without a word. My son bought a car here over a month ago. After one week the car stalled in the middle of the road. The dealer agreed to let our mechanic fix it and they'd pay for it. However a day later more issues happened with the car. The dealer said we would be better off bringing it back to them to fix. We used our AAA to bring it back. They did fix the problems. 2 weeks later my son emailed and called to ask if they could bring the car closer to him as he was relocating with lots of baggage. They never responded so I called and they called me back. They refused to help him out. I left a brief review advising people to read yelp reviews rather than Google. Way more accurate. He called me next day asking me why I'd left it. He wanted me to delete it and would deliver car if i deleted it. They eventually offered to cancel his loan but would not pay us for the brand new stereo and only half the amount we paid for struts, which also needed replaced. My son went today to get the car and they refused to give him the keys until I deleted the review. My son called the police and he got his car. I never write reviews but I felt like my poor experience needed to be conveyed to potential customers. My experience at Ally Motors was terrible! I had visited this dealership more than once while car shopping. On my last visit I saw a Nissan Murano that they just got in. It was parked in the back with the other cars that were not yet ready to be sold. My salesman had to find out a price because there was no information on the vehicle yet. Once he found the price I agreed and filled out the paper work for financing and left a deposit of $200. I waited and to hear back from them but never got a phone call. However, I knew that they ran my credit because I have a credit monitoring app that alerts me. One week later, still no word from them so I drove by the dealership but to my surprise my vehicle that I had a deposit on was right in the front for sale! How is that possible when I left a deposit??? So I went in and the finance manager Matt came from the back with my folder containing my application and documents. He asked me some questions about my income but I informed him that I decided not to move forward with the sale and wanted my deposit back. He immediately caught an attitude and said fine and threw my folder at my salesman like a frisbee and went back into his office. As you can understand I was completely shocked at his unprofessional attitude and told my salesman that he didn't deserve that type of abuse! Nonetheless my salesman informed me that he was going to contact their accounting office to request my refund immediately and they would cut a check and mail it to me. I was upset by this because I had already lost trust and faith with this dealership and was skeptical about waiting for a refund to come in the mail. Sure enough one week later, no check! So I called back today and threatened to file a complaint with the better business bureau. My salesman apologized and informed me that the check would be mailed out today and I should get it by Wednesday. (Keep in mind today is Monday). I warned him that I didn't want to take things a step further but I will if I don't get my deposit back. I just want to put this awful experience behind me! They need to replace their Finance Manager. He has absolutely no customer service skills and is rude and disrespectful to his employees. HORRIBLE!!! I bought a 2013 Subaru Outback from Ally. I took it to Planet Subaru ( dealer) the same day and they informed me the transmission was gone and brake rotors warped. Both of these are covered under the State Lemon law. Ally accepted the auto back and the games began with their "service" manager Adam. They began by saying they had to make sure that WE weren't sandbagging them, lol. This is after going to a reputable dealer. They had 11 days by law to repair the car. They had my vehicle for a couple of days short of a month. One lie after another to hold us off. Many promises made that were not kept. . Adam the non service manager would basically say anything and even promised us a $200 gas card "because we had been so patient". Obviously we never received it. Would not recommend this dealer. Ever. I bought a used Sierra back in December. I told them they needed to replace the brakes because the rotors were clearly shot. The sales representative said he was going to take the vehicle to be inspected (this NEVER happened I had to take it on my own accord). It passed inspection (miraculously). Immediately had check engine light go on for EVAP. Now apparently on top of the brakes, it's going to need a new transmission. This dealer does NOT stand behind any vehicle they purchase. My girlfriend and I came across a post for a 2010 Lexus RX. We live in Malden, Ma. I google mapped it and it said we where 1hr 41mins away. I called on Friday November 11th around 3pm. I asked if the RX was available which it was and asked what time they closed the next day, which I was told 5pm. I said great I will be there, he said ok and that was the end of the conversation. The next day after visiting a few other dealerships which I also set up appointments for we headed for Ally Motor. It was about 2:30pm. When we finally got there 1hr 40 mins later it was 4:10pm. We found that the dealership was small and rectangular parking lot with a long office building in the middle. While we were trying to figure out where to park the car a man came to the window of the building with no expression on his face and just stares at us the whole time we driving around the building trying to figure where to park. So I get out the car to greet the man as my girlfriend finds parking. When I get out the car his expression doesn't change at all. As I'm walking to the door it's the same thing he's just staring directly at me... finally out of an uncomfortable awkwardness I raise my hand to wave to him and barely got one back. Finally when I get close enough, he cracks the door enough so we can talk through the door. He says can I help you in a tone as if I'm trespassing and have no business on the property. To cool down the heat this guy is giving off I immediately pull out my phone to show him the post I found on cars.com. I said "Sir, I was interested in taking a look at this car right here." He cuts me off barely lifting his right hand flicks his finger to his right to the car I was talking about and said "That's it right there" (with a tone like I'm bothering him)... I said "Sir, yes I can see it but I was hoping I can take a closer look and take it for a test drive...." he cut me off again and asked me "How am I going to pay for it? Are u paying cash do you need to finance"... Excuse me??? I was a little taken back at this point because he's bringing up money and he still hasn't formally introduced himself and I'm still standing at the front door. I didn't really know how to answer that question right then and there. I been to a number of different dealerships at this point, and we never spoke about how I'm gunna pay for something before even taking a test drive ... and after fumbling for a response I said "Sir, I'm used to being able to come in, being able to talk and take a look at the car..." And again he cut me off and said yea no problem if you want to look at it you can look at it and proceeded to the back to get the keys so I can look at it, he continued "I thought u wanted to drive it, you can't drive it but I will let you look at it!" I said "I did want to drive it" once I said that he threw his hands in the air and said he can't do that the finance lady already left for the day so there "No point of a test drive" because they wouldn't be able to do the paperwork so I can purchase it. Still I don't think he understands how this whole thing works. I told him I just drove an hour and 45mins to come look at and test drive the car. He looked at me and shrugged his shoulders and said he's getting ready to close. It was 4:10pm and when I called the day before they said they would close at 5pm. When I told them I called the day before and spoke to someone and they said it closes at 5pm, once again he looked at me and shrugged his shoulders at me. I was shocked I was appalled and I didn't understand his lack of compassion, understanding and professionalism. I'm 6'5" Black Man with a beard. I had to ask him, is it because I'm black? To which he just stared at me. The energy and the tone of this man was unwelcoming, unprofessional, and I felt discriminated against. Once I started to clearly become upset he told me I can leave and I had a few choice words for him. All this happened while my girlfriend was parking the car, by the time she was done I was storming back to the car and telling her let's go. We started driving back home after just being there just a couple short mins. When I finished explaining to her what happened she said we should go back and take pictures and get his name because the way he treated me was wrong. When we get back which was 10 mins later, the same guy who kicked me out because he was about to close up 50mins early was helping someone else and yes the person he was helping was a white man. He had keys in his hands and brought the guy to a car and his demeanor suddenly seemed friendly. So you tell me what it is. We visited a few more dealerships with nowhere near that type of treatment and finally found what we where looking for. I would never ever recommend this place to anybody. UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! TLDR: The biggest lemon vehicle I've ever bought, the worst experience buying a vehicle I have ever had. I'm now out over $1.5k. Details below. I implore you read the story here, it really paints a picture of what it's like to buy from these guys. If it were possible to give less than one star, I would. I've bought a few cars over the years, and this has been the worst experience I've had buying from used car dealerships, new car dealerships, etc. From the get go, I was dealing with people who seemed to know almost nothing about the vehicle, and cared about service even less. The girl that works there, Michaela I think was her name (maybe spelled wrong, sorry), was the only positive experience I had buying from these guys, and that's only because she was cordial, friendly, and as helpful as she could be, given the dumpster fire of a dealership she works for. Matt, the finance guy, avoids calls like they're the plague. Good luck getting a hold on him, you'll have better luck using carrier pigeons to contact the dealership. I paid to have a local Nissan dealership (Nissan 24) inspect the vehicle up and down to ensure that any problems with it we're out in the open. They found two major safety related faults with the vehicle. The transmission was pretty much a goner, one of the control arms was basically held together by a thread, and a few smaller issues that are negligible. Long story short, they had the transmission repaired as well as the control arm (allegedly, we'll get to that later). They held my deposit for weeks until I threatened to take it back, only then did they finally find a way to sell me the vehicle. The only in-person experience I had with these guys (I live about an hour away, I was only buying from them because they had a particular vehicle I wanted) was pretty lousy too. I walk in to sign the paperwork to finally get the vehicle and I'm met by Michaela and a fella who stared me down for my duration of my time there like I was two seconds away from robbing them (what was I going to rob them for, another lemon?). Not to mention the fact the building smelled like boiled feet. Good god. I was also informed that they were not able to give the vehicle a state inspection in time for my purchase. Strange, you'd think they'd have an inspection done well before point of sale, it's almost like they didn't think the vehicle would pass a state inspection. Cough cough. They did promise to compensate me for a state inspection, which I would do 3 days later. I finally get in the vehicle and aside from the brake rotors obviously being warped, it seems fine for a used car with 135k miles. The rear glass bangs around like it's being held together by duct tape and dreams. Within 36 hours, I smelled smoke. I would figure out a day later that it was because the blower motor for the heater stopped working. I took it to Westboro Infiniti for a state inspection and surprisingly enough it passed after a 6 minute inspection. Weird that it was only 6 minutes, but okay. I took it to Westboro Nissan about 2 weeks later to have it looked at by a dealership I trust and the following was found: Diff Breather is dead, battery contacts are corroded, the battery is not made for the vehicle and is too small, U-Joint is dead, And lo and behold, The control arm is still messed up. Most of these things, the control arm in particular, should not have passed a state inspection. Given that the vehicle has driven about 200 miles on nothing but paved roads, no potholes, and certainly no off roading, these issues were obviously present at point of sale. One would think that massive safety components found to be broken within 30 days of point of sale would be taken care of by the seller. So here's the situation: The dealer would have me believe that they simply could not have the vehicle inspected prior to point of sale. And it is simply a coincidence that the entity that did do the state inspection failed to do it correctly, giving this terrible dealership an excuse to wash their hands of this lemon. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM HERE.. after 3 weeks of owning the car it finally went in to replace the windshield cause it was so scratched up and was raining in my car and also fix the gas door lock, and chck out the shuddering in the front. they had it for a week and got it back with nothing done.. they said the new windshield broke so they will call when they get a new one in so pissed nothing got done they kept saying parts being shipped to fix the gas tank lock so after i got it back it started hesitating ,growling ,shuddering in the front ... took weeks to get it in there to finally have it looked at ..i had to just drop it off cause they wouldn't set up a date or time ... so they supposedly sent it to transmission guy which i called Adam all the time to see what was going on .. 2 1/2 months later i get a call that the car was impounded due to the guy was driving it and had no license ... he did replace the drive shaft he was a backyard mechanic of some sort NOT a transmission guy like they said it was going to.. So i pick up the car and there was over 600 miles added to what was there when i dropped it off, on top of it being impounded grrrrrrr.. i took it to Honda dealer to get it looked at and they said it was the transmission .. Adam then sent me to their transmission guy and we took it for a ride and he said it was the torque converter ..since then Adam keeps telling me he will get it in and that its not under warranty anymore ..but i done understand that ..if its been in and out and they had it more than i did how is that possible ... bought end of August and here we are end of april and No nothing done grrrr time for a attorney to get involved as Adam well knows i have all texts, calls and pictures of the mileage when dropped off and all the crap that i have been through ,i was just trying t be nice and give him time to take care of the issue ..BUT IM DONE WAITING ....DO NOT BUY FROM HERE EVER !!!!!!!!!!! read more

I went to go look at a car I liked that I saw online and it had a nail in the tire when I test drove it!! When I mentioned this the sales guy just shrugged and was like "it's a used car" the oil was dirty as well and it needed brake pads badly. They wanted $8000 for it. My feedback for Ally Motors (also appears to be doing business as Drivemax Group, Auto Center Sales & Service, and XDrive Motors) I had high hopes when dealing with Ally Motors, yet realistic expectations. I live in Virginia Beach, VA, and did a fairly extensive search to find a 2006/7 Lexus LX470 with low miles at a fair price. When I found the listing by Ally, I was ecstatic, not only was it the exact color (Black/Tan), but the mileage was right, as was the price! The SUV was all the way near Boston though!! I discussed my situation with Serge, and he agreed to do a walk around over the phone with me. I asked questions about condition, and maint items I'd expect to see if I were there in person. While I know it was his opinion, I asked what "score" he'd give the interior and exterior, and in both cases, he said he'd give the SUV an 8 or 8.5 out of ten for the condition for both the interior and exterior, with no blemishes to speak of other than very minor scuffs and light scratches...I think all smaller than a quarter if I'm not mistaken. These are still pretty high marks for a 10 year old car, but like I said earlier, I have realistic expectations, and so I knew that if I go there, it might not look quite as nice as he conveys. None the less, everything seemed right, and so I put a $500 deposit down and booked a flight and car rental to meet a few days later(2/25/17). At this point, I had spoken with Matt concerning the deposit and my logistics, and Serge about the cars condition...so far, so good. I arrived to the dealership as expected, and first impression was not great, it was a dump. The parking lot was muddy due to the snow the week prior, and there wasn't really anywhere to park. I was supposed to work with McKayla, but she was with another client..no biggie though, Serge gave me the keys to check it out as he shuffled some cars around the lot. Let me just say, I spent less than 5 minutes and knew it wasn't close to what I expected. First off, there was a scrape on the driver's side running board (paint scrape); Serge apologized and said there was a snowbank there when he was doing the walk around...I believe him. The car was also riddled with other scratches and paint chips...and we haven't even gotten to the bad part yet!!! I knew the SUV had been in a rear end accident, but I expected that it being a Lexus, a reputable dealer/collision repair company would do a good job...I was wrong! My father was a body man, and I helped him on occasion, and so while I am able to spot some things that others may not, this car was flawed! It wasn't masked properly, and so there were spots that had no paint..just bare primer (look in the corners..near the rear window if I recall correctly). There was also evidence of repair/paint work in the driver's side rear door that looked terrible. I didn't even have to drive this Lexus to know it wasn't the one for me. I attempted to explain what I was seeing to Matt, but he didn't want to hear it..he walked away while I was talking, and slammed the door to his office. I left shortly afterwards, and drove 10 hours back to VA in my rental. In all fairness though, I don't think Serge tried to mislead me...I'd also like to add that they returned my deposit without any issues or delay. I still think this is the sort of dealership to stay away from...they're buying auction cars, and in the case of this Lexus, auctioned for a reason! I feel sorry for whoever buys this Lexus... Fyi, I drove to South Carolina 2 weeks later, and bought a gorgeous 2007 Lexus LX470 from a reputable dealer...no issues...in and out in less than an hour headed back to VA. I put my faith in your ability to give me honest feedback concerning the car I was looking at, and you failed. You also failed to be decent when I showed my disappointment at the cars condition. The service was horrible they lied about servicing my car they sold me a car that did not pass inspection they never serviced my car when my check emission light came on they told me they would call they never did they never returned any of my calls or voicemails it was a horrible experience an I don't recommend this place to no one they sold me a car with rusted side view mirrors that they promised they would change before an after I bought the car read more

They sold my pregnant sister with little children under 5 a lemon with brakes that do not work. The car got a red rejection sticker. After paying $20,000 to this dealership I figure the Manager would at least have the decency to call me back and try to work something out. WHAT KIND OF MANAGER DOES THIS DEALERSHIP HAVE? The sales man Jason was very nice an called me many times before I purchased the Lexus for $20,000. I took the car for a MASS inspection within 2 days, and the horn did not work. The inspector turned the steering wheel back and forth and the horn did work so he gave me the sticker. I drove off from the inspection station tried the horn and it did not work. When I got home I turned the wheel back and forth and the horn worked 1 time out of 100. I immediately called the dealer and they told me to call the service department. When I talked to the service they told me that horns were not under warranty, but told me a Manager would call me right back. He never did. The nasty things people say about used car dealers are not always true but Ally motors proves all of it to be true. Shister's is the best term to use. It was not only about the money, but Iam so disappointed in these people. I really do not know how they sleep at night knowing they scam people all day long. We bought a very used car ,was told multiple times that the lemon law would protect us if it did not pass inspection. It did not. Needed a whole new exhaust system,1800$. Adam,the" service manager" could not have been nicer when we contacted him. Drove the car back,two hours away, left it for 2 days and returned to pick it up. Again, Adam was very pleasant as was the owner. We drove the car home and in less than 24 hours the dash lit up like a Christmas Tree. We took it to our repair guy and he called us and said please come up while I have it on the lift. Bottom line, the whole exhaust system was put in wrong with piece meal work. The muffler was not the right size and was not in the place. One of the catalytic converters was gone! And the exhaust pipe ran right up along the spare tire,touching it! Shoddy work does not even come close ! Do not buy here. Full transparency, I think the lemon law would not have protected us as the car has too many miles on it.
