I really enjoy coming to Ally's! It is not far from my office, so we come here when we want to eat out for lunch. Just a warning- it is usually pretty busy around lunchtime! I absolutely love the Sesame Oriental Chicken Salad. Everything is perfectly combined together and the chicken is cooked to perfection each time. Ally's deserves 5 stars because I have now been back three times and am consistently impressed in 3 important categories: Food quality, service and atmosphere. The food is very fresh, made to order and high quality. The menu is creative but not overbearing. The staff is genuine, friendly and helpful. The split concept of half bar/dine-in & half order at the counter/sit wherever you like is really cool and gives Ally's two distinct but enjoyable atmospheres. I've had their built-to-order omelette (twice - you even get to choose fresh herbs as ingredients!) and most recently their Brain Power salad - which I came here for specifically after checking out their lunch menu. With perfectly cooked salmon, spinach, avocado, blueberries, feta, walnuts and a house made dressing it did not disappoint! Picture included. I was just there less than a week ago and I ordered their chicken Cobb salad and I could have easily ate two it was that good. Good breakfast, very friendly service, very fast service, jazz in the background... it was a good experience for my first time.... the atmosphere is similar to like a east side establishment.. not really a family place , more like professional clientele, alot of pairs of people... similar to a coffee shop... you order before you sit..the portions of food are good, a little more expensive than other morning establishments, not bad though... my mom and I typically find 35 to 45 dollars for 2 people, this was 55 dollars... there us a bar that serves early as well.. overall it was a good place, excellent service, friendly people but not really the type of place I normally attend... no negatives against the establishment, I'd definitely recommend it to others ... just a different atmosphere than I typically visit... I've had the fish fry a few times, it was awesome!!! Plenty of fish (I took 2 large pieces home) and it's not greasy, potato pancakes were great, the clam chowder was the best I've ever had, even the bread is incredible. I've also ordered sandwiches and they were fabulous!!! The employees are all very friendly and efficient. This is my go to place to eat in the Falls. read more

Great stop for lunch or take out! I've been here both for lunch and gotten delivery to three cellars next door. They have a great menu with good variety of food options. Lots of sandwiches and wraps making this a great lunch stop. Plus, they don't do dinner on Saturday. Their chicken tacos were amazing, would definitely recommend. My friends were all pleased with their meals as well! Only complaint is we placed our order at 5 for pick up at 7 and it wasn't ready until 7:15, we had to call and remind them of our order. Order the #9 sandwich...life changing!! Pretzel bun, with chicken, fried onion strings, avocado, cheese...it's the perfect sandwich. It's like Panera, if Panera we're locally owned and prepared like the employees give a shit. Everything I've had there is excellent. My only complaint? Better chips. I know you use a cost effective tortilla chip, but I'd gladly pay another $.50 for a better quality chip. Keep up the food work though, I'm proud to have a local gem close to home! read more

My co-workers and I come here weekly for lunch. I've tried to sample various items from their menu because I love their commitment to simple, high-quality meals. I'm never disappointed leaving Ally's because the food is always consistent and fresh AND the service is amazing. We're always greeted with warm smiles and a hello. A top favorite is their apple walnut bread pudding for dessert. When served the warm, the different flavors really come out and it's a lovely texture. (The flourless chocolate cake is a close second!). Both of these desserts aren't too sweet either! At least one person in our group always gets the Brain Power salad with salmon- which is a fun mix for a salad. From my own observation, I see this is a popular choice, too. For myself, I prefer to pair their homemade chicken noodle soup and the Green Giant smoothie with extra spinach. However, sometimes I try their wraps! Always delicious. read more

When I worked on the NW side of Milwaukee the food scene was not very great but Ally's was a bright spot in the darkness. The place is always packed because there really isn't any good competition; however, Ally's deserves a crowd because the food is solid. Usually I get the half panini and salad which is a great deal at under $9. It surprisingly comes with kettle chips or chips and salsa. Salads are very good because they make their own dressings and stay away from the complete "iceberg icky salads". If you are working in the area they deliver. I was always excited for lunch meetings when we ordered Ally's. I was so tired of Panera lunches so Ally's was a great change of pace. Stopped in tonight for dinner (only been for lunch before). Didn't have to wait long for a table even though it was really busy.! The waitress was nice and our food came out pretty quick. The Acoustic #4 Burger was the best burger I've had in a long time, the pretzel bun was buttery and hot too and I loved the avocado on there as well. My husbands Reuben was very good too. The sweet potato fries with maple dipping sauce were the stars though. Super delicious and addictive! Only reason for 4 stars was because we were sat by the door where the live music was setting up, and they they kept coming in and out making it a hurry up and finish situation because it got kinda chilly. read more

Given that this is a casual deli, I wasn't expecting much. For what the restaurant is, though - holy cow! Best deli food I've had in a long time. None of that gross processed meat, old sandwiches, stale bread, etc. The food here is surprisingly good, and the staff are all super accommodating.
