We booked the Love Alma Globe express for Valentines. Overall it was a cute experience but the place is over expensive. We liked the decor inside the globe, there was a Polaroid camera where you can click uptown 10 pictures, choose music of your choice. Got complementary glass of Sparkling Wine and some dessert. You can do valet parking for just $8. Food was average, hummus plate and artichoke dip were good but chicken skewers dish was a little dry.

LOVE their afternoon teas! The most cost effective afternoon tea in the city. Delicious, filling, and quick service. I've been to their spring and Haunted High Tea and both were a great time. I love the variety of bites you get. From savory sandwiches, to sweet desserts, and pastries, I always leave full with a happy stomach. Their teas are always at perfect temperature. The chai tea is my favorite. They even give you a cute candy bag at the end from Amy's candy - such a nice touch! I recommend this place 1000%. Such a nice afternoon with he girls!

Such a fun experience for the holidays. They really make this fun. We went for the Christmas brunch. There were a ton of comfortable nooks and tables to eat set up perfectly to be warm, cozy and really enjoy time with family and kids. Perfect brunch spot for kids with a Santa, couches and plenty of space to walk around. There were fun hot chocolate stations, coffee bars, omelet bar, waffles, fresh fruit, basic breakfast items and a warm breakfast section. The brunch covers anything you could want. The service was excellent as well. Very attentive to detail. Janette even thought about blue straws for the boys and pink for the girls, and catered to our very high maintenance family.

Ambience was nice. Drinks were good but not great. Service was on point. Was overlooking Wrigley Stadium, so it's obvious what the draw is. High vaulted ceilings and would likely be great for a work holiday party. Nice spot to visit.

Had an early evening meal at ALMA the past weekend. The food was good. The service could have been better, pretty slow - perhaps they were short on servers. The ambiance is great, an upscale art deco feel in a bright, happening venue. This a great spot right by Wrigley - I think I'd go back for beverages, maybe skip the food.

We stopped at this bar after the Cubs game with a few friends. Great vibe and atmosphere and a very upscale hotel. This is a nice place to have a drink and some food with friends. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. This is definitely a place to go to just lounge and talk with friends. It is right next to Wrigley Field and a great place for after the game. We will return when in the area.

We were staying at the hotel for a couple of nights and decided to have dinner here for one of those nights. It was a good choice because we sat outside with a great view of Wrigley Field. We started with a couple of good drinks. The menu offers several appetizers and a few entrees. We decided to go with the Charcuterie Board and the mezze plate. Both items tasted great. We also split the ice cream sandwich for dessert. It was awesome.

Had an exceptional experience with their afternoon tea service! We booked this ahead of time at an affordable $30 pp and felt it was well worth the money. Our server was super attentive, described all the teas and offerings and overall genuinely friendly. The service came with all you can consume teas (5 options), a tower full of popcorn, egg salad and cucumber sandwiches. The bottom of the tower was filled with amazing sweets - macarons, danishes and a pumpkin spice roll. All delicious. This lobby bar/restaurant is also a sight. Very well laid out, look pictures and lots of comfy spots to hang out and enjoy an afternoon. Amazing!

Loved, loved the terrace and the whole decor in the place - elegant yet understated. If you are a Cub's fan you have the perfect view. The cocktails were nice, with good mixology. We enjoyed the falafel sliders and the charcuterie board because we were hungry. It was weird, we order a couple of other things but our server came back saying that were not available, getting their food from another place??? Service was mediocre, our server did not have much knowledge about the menu or their availability, and prices are high. I would go back for cocktails on the terrace. Perhaps if they serve High-Tea I will check it out, since I heard good things about the experience.

Went to spring tea here. It's inside hotel Zachary on the second floor. You can get to it by going inside hotel Zachary's main entrance on n Clark (facing wrigley) and then use the elevator to get to the second floor. Service was quick and our server was very kind. Open to giving recommendations on which tea to pick and let us know we could not only get our own individual pots of tea but that we could even ask for a refill of a different flavor (or the same) later and it was included! We picked the melon tea (red tea, caffeine free) and the pomegranate green tea and really liked them. Highly recommend both! We both got Prosecco and it was good quality. This is what you get at first, then you pick your tea, then come out the towers of finger foods! The food was delicious and I especially liked the macarons and the Nutella croissant. My only disappointment is the dried flower bouquet station seemed like it only had items that would be like...Michael's/Hobby Lobby discards. Nothing that was good for the center of the bouquet but are nice accompaniment to other flowers that I'll probably buy at a later date to spruce it up to use as the centerpiece for my table at home. All in all, I'd definitely recommend afternoon tea at Alma! It's a steal compared to other places in Chicago and it is great for either a cute date or a girls day!

Drinks were very good! I usually don't drink rum, but the drink I had tasted so good! Staff was very nice as well and I like the atmosphere

On the second floor of Hotel Zachary we attended Afternoon Tea on Sunday at Alma. Service was attentive & informative. The tea selection tasted so good. They change over time, but I loved the Mallorca Melon. There's also a pool table and outdoor patio you can enjoy after the indoor tea service. Dress code said casual, but women wore beautiful daytime dresses and men wore button ups or polos. It was giving modern day Bridgerton. Was a little confused because booked the service from Instagram had thought we paid ahead of time. Card info was apparently just to hold the reservation, and if you no call no show you're charged a percentage of what the total would have been. Nonetheless, we paid once we were finished and all was well. Would go back!

Great place to go after a game. Got right in with a reservation. Zachary Old Fashioned was really good.

The staff was super attentive and kind, checking on us frequently. My friend and I stopped by for happy hour, and this should absolutely make it onto the list of the best in town. They have delicious wine, cocktails, and bites for nearly half of the regular price. I opted for the happy hour prosecco to drink, which was light-bodied and not too sweet. We split the meatballs and dates for bites and both were outstanding. I was super impressed with how tender the meatballs were, and they did not skimp on the flavorful marinara and cheese! The dates, which were topped with a white wine cheese sauce, were mouth-wateringly delicious and a must order. There was also complimentary focaccia with olive oil, which was greatly appreciated. With sea salt on top and a crispy exterior, I could easily have eaten a whole loaf. The only note I have is that the portions are small, so if you don't come during happy hour the prices are a bit steep for what you get. Will 100% be back soon to try more of the menu and highly recommend making the trek over here!

Mediterranean Meze - very flavorful blend of 22 ingredients according to our waiter. This dish was truly unique. 5/5 Grilled Halloumi Meze - delicious cheese with olives and garlic bread. 4/5 Stuffed Eggplant - savory and creamy dish which actually might be even better served hot. 5/5 Calamari Meze - Excellent and tender. Not chewy at all which was nice. There were a ton of olives which I didn't think complimented the calamari. Overall, still 5/5. Mushroom Tava - mushrooms were cooked perfectly and were delicious. One of my favorite dishes of the night. 5/5 Stuffed Mushrooms - this dish fell flat on flavor and had more of the typical mushroom texture. 3/5 The Hunkar entrée initially was extremely salty. I mentioned this to the waiter and they remade it, which turned out great, so I'm hoping the salty dish was a one-off. 5/5 Our waiter was very friendly and attentive throughout. The restaurant itself is also casual upscale, so nice for most occasions. Avaspi exceeds expectations and I highly recommend this excellent Mediterranean restaurant.

The waiter said "we only use walnuts", we responded, no nuts. The food arrived and 2 of the 4 dishes had nuts on them, when I pointed it out to the waiter, he said "they're only on the top"! He's been certified for 3 yrs* Upon walking up to the establishment with my fiancé and service dog, there was an officer there wearing a badge. He acknowledged how cute Rory (my service dog) was and stated he was a service dog. He then asked if he could pet Rory, I said yes that would be fine with me. Another gentleman, not sure what role he played at the establishment, approached us while the officer was still there. He began questioning me and Rory's legitimacy on being a service dog since he just saw the officer pet him. I informed him that the officer had asked and I said it was ok. He then said "we have a lot of people that pretend their dogs are service dogs to get them in"; I replied I have his badge and the dog trainer's(dog training elite) number to contact her. He allowed us in. Less than a minute latter when my finance, Rory, and I were walking to a table, the bouncer/manager re-approaches us and says we have to leave predicated on the notion I let an officer say hi and pet Rory after the officer had asked. The law allows establishments to only ask 2 questions when it comes to service animals; 1) Is it a legitimate service animal? 2) What service is the service animal providing? I was only asked #1, if Rory was a service animal, I am allowed to give my service animal a break on occasion and I decide who can and can't say hi to him. Have never been discriminated like this in my life. And will never be returning to the facility.
