Mochiko Chicken Plate, Side of Lomi Salmon & Hawaiian Sun Drink
    Mya C.

This place is the bomb.com! I'm an island girl so when I hear of island food, the first thing I look for is: can I make this 1000% better at home, AKA does it taste good?! Let me TELL you! Their mochiko chicken? YUMMMM Their Sweet and Spur Spare Ribs? Locked my fingers afterwards. The Mac salad is the way I like it, everyone has opinions about Mac salad. The Lomi Salmon was a little overly salty but perfect mixed with rice. I also enjoyed their poke bowl enough. Wasn't my favorite poke but passably good. Dining area is very clean and well kept. The staff is very friendly and pretty quick.

First off, the tables, chairs and decor inside this restaurant are very reminiscent of the real Hawaii. I just wish the food was as good. We ordered the Huli Huli chicken with Spam Musubi. Everything was wrong with both. The chicken was dry and didn't have much aloha! Also, there was no Hawaiian Cole Slaw served with the chicken. They used the wrong type of seaweed wrap for da Musubi, and get no garlic sauce inside. They did serve two decent scoops of rice, but one tiny scoop of Mac salad. Also, dey have no Hawaiian red salt. When I ask for da kine, da waitress give me da kine Sriracha instead. No sauce, very little Mac salad, dry, unsalted chicken. Dis place don't know Hawaiian food! They have a nice name but not much aloha in da food!

I like this place! My mister and I were craving Hawaiian food and this was the closest to us after we ran errands. We were the only patrons on a Wednesday evening, though they had lots of to go orders going on (delivery like DoorDash included. I could hear the dings from the computer). There was one server/cashier and she was very friendly, very busy, but still checked on us often. We ordered the lumpia, mochiko chicken, and a combo plate (Hulu Juli chicken + Kalua Pork). Good sized portions and came out freshly made and hot! I asked for a side of the guava sauce for the mochiko chicken, while still good, I prefer the spicy mayo. We enjoyed our dinner here. No complaints.

Aloha Kitchen Silverdale... Aloha but no service

We literally just left....We went in and it started off ok, we were greeted and the girl at the counter told us we could sit anywhere. It wasn't busy, few filled seats. Someone came in after us. We weren't sure how the process was so we waited a bit and then proceeded to grab our own menu from the counter as she never approached us and the gentleman who came in after us did the same. Both us and the gentleman were waiting and nothing. Another couple proceeded to come in she told them they could sit wherever. The girl at the counter went to give them a menu and took their drink order, she finally took the drink order of the guy who came in after us and we were still skipped over. Then she started taking the food order of the couple that came in two customers after. Absolutely no service. It says they're voted Best of 2024 in the PNW, and I guess the food is good. Decided not too wait and find out cause the service obviously is not the best. Bummed out cause we're from Hawaii and always looking to support people from the islands but didn't appreciate feeling looked over as a customer.

My mission today. Find some good authentic Hawaiian food, especially some Kalua pork. I always check my local area on Yelp for any close restaurants. Low and behold Aloha Kitchen pops up fist on the list! Set the navigation, and off I went. Aloha kitchen is easy to find, located in a strip mall near Ross. They open at 11am, which is when I arrived. I noticed the seating area is very clean and has an island style feel. They are also playing Island music, which I love. Hostess/waitress greeted me and I sat down. The menu is filled will great meals, of course Kalua pork, loco moco, chicken dishes, and so on. I opted for the two combo pork/cabbage and patty with gravy. This meal made me miss being on holiday in Kauai. I just closed my eyes with each bite and imagined Hanelei bay while I savored the meal. Totally enjoyed the meal and the vibe here. I took leftovers home, huge portions. Will be back soon! Mahalo!

I walked into the restaurant expecting to go to the counter and order and then eat. But it is a sit down restaurant. There is a 'please wait to be seated' sign at the entrance. The server/cashier was pretty busy with two tables already seated. I don't understand the concept just because there was only one server/cashier. She was running around from cashing customers out, taking orders, and taking care of the call ins/to-go orders. I ordered the water and it was just tap water. My friend ordered a soda, which was never refilled throughout our lunch. As for the menu, I would have to say I am a bit spoiled, by chain restaurants. For example: a big nice plate for $9.00 and I could change out two scoops of mac instead of rice for no extra charge. But here you get a plate for about $13 and a $2 charge to change out the rice for mac. The Huli Huli which I had I couldn't really grasp much of the marinated sauce of the chicken. To which I was a little bit disappointed in. I was happy with the mac salad but that was about it. Would have liked to see a little more attentiveness to the customers if it is supposed to be serving type restaurant. The place needs a little more music, a little more TLC and a little more Aloha!

Washington state Hawaiian food?! Will see.

Their food is good but the last time we ate there (Mochico chicken, saimin and loco moco) I found fluff in my chicken. Like somebody had dropped my chicken on the carpet then put it back on the plate. It's really good but since then I've decided to… Read more

Definitely worth a try! I ordered the karaage chicken bowl. There was a lot of chicken pieces and a heavy serving of "egg fried rice" underneath. Very filling, and very delicious. The chicken is fried, and it comes with green onion which breaks up the creamy richness from the egg and fried chicken flavors. It was so much food, I had leftovers to take home for lunch the next day. The entrees come with miso soup before the meal arrives at your table, so we were happy with the fried chicken skin appetizer and miso soup starter, then to finish it off with our entrees. Everything tasted good, hot and fresh. The staff were friendly, fast, and attentive. It's located in a shopping strip next to a gas station. It's a great spot for a hearty, quick bite to eat.

I tried them all and they all are delicious and feel authentic to the Vietnamese culture. The Hot Stone Pho special broth was clear and flavorful and the noodles were just right. Not to soft or chewy. The Bun Bo Hue was delicious and very flavorful. The broth could be a little more spider but it was still delicious with the different cuts of meat and udon noodles. The Saigon Wings were really delicious and crispy. The right amount of fish sauce on them. The server was very nice to us and had a great experience here. They talked to us a lot , which made us like the place even more! Overall the service was excellent! The ambiance of the place was really nice. I loved the wooden theme of the inside and very open. They also had tables and chairs for people to sit outside but it was kind of raining the time I went so I want. Able to sit outside but good to know they have outside seating. My overall experiment is a 5/5. I would definitely come back here again.

The latte was so smooth and well balanced flavors, absolutely the best latte I have had in long time. Then I tried the donuts and they were very good. I haven't eaten donuts from bakeries near and far but never had Mochi variety. They are made using rice flour that gives the donut an elastic characteristic and chewy but very good. I had three different flavors - strawberry, raspberry, and chocolate. While I still would say I am a cake donut lover, I would always be willing to eat one of these mochi flavors. You definitely should consider stopping in at M&T.
