Worst Moving Experience Ever!! Most of these reviews have to be self generated or paid, simply because the owner that I was working with was a real jerk. Im a traveler that has gathered a ton of fragile and irreplaceable items such as teak carvings, stone carvings and antique furniture. They literally threw my stuff on the ground shattering an intricate hand carved folding sectional mirror. They totally destroyed this $1000+ gift and attempted to hide that they had broken it. NOBODY TOLD ME, THEY HID THE DAMAGED FURNITURE. I was really upset when I saw the broken mirror and they said "Im not sure what happened to that" they acted like it was somehow my fault!!! I have a leather rhino that was another gift, one of them thought it was funny to tear the ears off of it. I have a balineese xylophone which I got in....Bali, carried it for thousands of miles it was splintered! I have a carving that was from Bali of a diety...all broken up. African carved mask, damaged. They broke a jar of artichokes and even though the bottom was leaking they put it on top of other boxes of non kitchen stuff getting oil all over everything. They still charged me $300 and the only reason that I paid it all was that I didn't see the other damage. It was absolutely horrible way to start life in a new house. I don't know what the heck I did to these guys to get them to hate me, I was nice to everyone and the owner is a friend of a friend even....that's why the whole thing is so damn weird. These guys are really horrible businessmen and have damaged horribly irreplaceable items that were special to me. read more

I was moving my family from Los Angeles area to San Diego and luckily, a friend of mine in SD knew these guys. I was getting very high cost estimates from local area movers as well as at least 5 days to move my family. I needed to do the move fast and for a low-cost all while making sure my stuff was safe. When I called Aloha, they were very responsive and paid close attention to my time frames. I did not want everything in storage or somewhere on the road while I had to put my family in a hotel. They arrived when they promised, loaded the trucks carefully (I watched), got everything down to San Diego, and unloaded everything - nothing lost or broken. We slept in our beds the night before the move and when they delivered. Very nice guys, clean, professional, and strong. If you have to move, call them. Very satisfied!!! read more

My Moving Team of Anthony, Buddy and Blake were great. They came in, took an assessment and started moving right away. Buddy disassembled and assembled my children's beds far better than my friends had a few years prior. (He was able to undo some of the damage that they had done!) The team was quick, flexible, and professional throughout the entire move. And they left a pineapple! Very nice touch. I have hired movers in the past and have not been happy with the way they treat and handle my furniture, belongings, etc. When I moved into my new home just recently, I REALLY needed professional movers to help me because I have a lot of heavy things. I called a few places and their prices were outrageous and they didn't seem very professional. BUT when I called them, they couldn't have made me feel more comfortable and relieved knowing they had VERY good prices for a moving company. When moving day finally arrived, they were on time, worked very hard and fast, and were very respectful of all my things!! Overall, they made my moving experience as great as having to move can be!! These guys are the best. If I could give "10" stars I would. Anyhow, these guys were right on time and PROFESSIONAL all the way. Not to mention quick, FRIENDLY, fast,etc.... I could go on forever about these guys. Aaron and Buddy were so down to earth it was like hanging out with friends!!! Aaron and Buddy did everything.,I felt so bad for standing there while they moved my all of boxes and furniture. But it was clear to see that this was not their first time doing this. They had their own little codes and signals while they moved and carried my stuff. I was really impressed how they worked. These guys are quick!!! And I believe they are quick because they know that this move is costing the customer and they are not trying to drain your pockets. They did NOT damage any of my stuff.!!!!!!!!!! I thought they would because they moved so fast, but not one things was broken. Listen folks, these men did not pay me to write this or anything. Aloha movers are very friendly and good at what they do. They did an inventory list before the move. They were at my house right on time. They brought enough men for the move and enough trucks for the move. Everything went on schedule. They knew what they were doing. No scratches or dings in the furniture. They said that the job would take one day, were late to arrive, and walked off the job in the middle of the second day after they said they needed a third day to complete the job. Aloha Movers were our heroes this weekend! The crew from a discount firm walked out on us and we had only 48 hours before our lease expired. Aaron in the front office was able to fit us in the next day. He and his crew of two were on time and were quick and efficient as well as careful with our furniture, including piano, and boxed household goods. We were so stressed because of the circumstances but all three guys were upbeat and they just rocked the job. When we had to add an interim stop to a storage unit, they rolled with it - Aaron explained how it would impact the original quote and gave me my options. We had reserved a Budget truck to move from the LA area to one stop in Orange Co and final in North San Diego county. Less than two days before we were to pick up the truck, Budget called and said they had NO trucks available for us nor others who made reservations for that weekend. Thankfully our fantastic apt leasing agent, Lindsay, with Irvine Co in Carlsbad, said that they recommend Aloha Movers due to great tenant feedback. I checked Yelp reviews and was surprised to see numerous, stellar 5 reviews. I called and spoke with Buddy and with his and also Natalie's help, was able to book last minute, one of their trucks and two *Incredibly Awesome*, hard working, fast and extremely efficient young men- Chris and Kenny. I can not recommend them enough, we have had several moves throughout the past years and have never had such a great experience as we had with the Aloha Movers team. If you don't have huge appliances they should be fine. They were nice and diligent. They didn't take too long. But my husband felt they were less experienced than other movers we've used. They didn't properly cover the bottom of the front door frame of the place we moved out of. So the metal bottom got scratched up. And when moving our large french door fridge into our new place, they left big gouges in the bottom of the wood frame of the door to the kitchen from some part of the fridge. And it looked like 1 guy almost dropped the fridge on the other guy as they were taking it out the front door of the place we moved out of. Lastly, but this may have been unavoidable, they stained up the WHITE carpet on the stairs of the place we moved out of. It might have been due to moving the fridge as there was a lot of water stains too. This fridge was had not been hooked up to water. We have moved ALOT, almost yearly the past 5 years. And these have been long distance moves of 3 bedroom house full of stuff including major appliances. read more

Aloha Movers was a great choice of a moving company for my family and I. I read reviews for several moving companies on yelp and was impressed with what I read about Aloha. There was one very negative review, but it seemed so out-of-line with all of the others that I figured it might be an error. I called and spoke with the owner who was very pleasant and easy to talk with. Once I decided to go with Aloha, I received several check-in calls from the owner to confirm date/time/details of service; I really appreciated this. On the day of the move, I also received 2 confirmation calls letting me know of their ETA, and they arrived right when they said they would. There are some very nice touches that this company provides that I don't think any other company provides (and I have used several moving companies in the last few years). The guys were professional, careful, and worked very hard (they even worked way through the lunch hour/s despite me prompting them several times that they should stop, take a rest, and eat, but no, they kept right on chugging! There was nothing broken in this move. I was very appreciative of this company, and especially the owner (who is one of the movers), who made our move very smooth and the time leading up to it worry-free for me (in terms of coordinating the movers at least!). They say moving is one of the most stressful things you can experience in life.....not if you use Aloha Movers. I was dreading this move, I had gone through a life crisis and had so much stuff. I was worried about my things being damaged, how much it would cost, would everything fit, could I trust the movers.....when the Aloha team arrived they didn't mess around. They told me they would look after everything and they did! They were fast. Courteous. Careful. Respectful. Prepared. And being a female on my own I felt totally safe and comfortable.
