So I had given a thought and decided to replace it. I called them on Friday afternoon to make an appointment to install a new HVAC. They came the next day, Saturday, and finished all in one day! It's some kind of next level service that we don't usually expect in the States. My only complaint is that they installed a new system so that I cannot run the AC unit while my louvered door is closed -- I will need to somehow change the door later after my guests leave. Recommended! Otherwise, friendly company, fast service as promised, paid by credit card.

Although So Cal Air's estimate was not the cheapest, it was the most comprehensive--including drywall patching and painting--which ultimately made me feel the most comfortable moving forward with them. Other companies either tried to upsell me on a UV lighting system or suggested opening up the entire hallway ceiling, which felt excessive for the scope of work. After accepting the estimate, there was a delay of over two weeks before I was contacted to schedule the service, and I do think communication during that time could have been improved. That said, once they reached out, they were able to schedule the work for the very next day. Victor and his crew were professional and efficient, completing the job in about half a day.
