Nice casual BBQ place. The owners are amazing and run the whole show! They are the cooks, waitstaff, cashiers, food truck loaders for events. It's an absolute treasure of a small business. The customer service was courteous, professional and helpful. It's the kind of place that gives you, "comfort and class" in one. Bluesy ambiance with a relaxed feel. I got a chance to met one of the owners, Her name is Tae (not sure of the spelling) but she was on point with everything. The service we received was incredible. We went here Saturday afternoon. The lady owner explained everything and even made recommendations. I was glad we had just beat the rush of like 30 ppl! She became busy but was still super sweet and pleasant. I got the 3 rib plus 1 meat dinner. I got polish sausage. For my sides I got Mac and cheese and baked beans. She also recommended the smoked dump peach cobbler. Food came out failed quickly. The ribs were a nice size and tender. A little heavy on the pepper but still good. She recommended mixing the white sauce with the sweet bbq sauce. I absolutely loved the white sauce/sweet sauce concoction. The polish was pretty good too. The beans were nice and sweet like I like them. I tried my friends okra and it was nice soy and good. The Mac and cheese was super cheesy which I liked but it was a spice I just couldn't get with. I took a took about 4 bites and realized it must be rosemary in the Mac. I didn't like it at all. I actually ended up not taking it in my togo box. The smoked cobbler was good. It definitely gave my dump cake/ bread pudding vibes. I know it would be really good with ice cream, especially since it came out piping hot! I will definitely be back whenever I'm in Tulsa. I absolutely loved the food here. I could not wait to get home to eat. I was amazed at the ambiance of the restaurant. It is very simplistic but has a jazzy vibe to it. Which is exactly the type of BBQ places I love. The service was great from start to finish. I waited less than 10 mins for my food to come out piping hot. I will definitely go back in the future to try some more of their other proteins (meat) and sides. The only thing I wish I would've had was more brisket but who ever gets enough brisket? HA! First weekend I got the loaded nachos with bologna and pulled chicken and bourbon bbq sauce, all amazing. My wife had the spud, which is flattened on a plate and very good. Last weekend I got the three meat plate, including brisket, hot links and bologna, all very flavorful. This place was decent. The people are super awesome so that gets them points for their hospitality. Meat was good the only thing I recommend is they offer toast with each meal. Two pieces really isn't much with a 2 meat dinner. Perhaps they just need to ask if you'd like extra roast since it's small. I like wrapping my BBQ in toasted bread. So maybe that's not everyone. One of my favorite BBQ places in Kansas (Roy's BBQ in Hutchinson, Ks) made toasted bread. It's not just white bread and that makes it much better. The grill toasted bread is amazing and they should offer this here. Use a french type bread. I really did enjoy but miss the toast from home. read more
