I messaged back and her reply is almost immediate at a very strange time. I think I messaged her late at night. I just copied and pasted their message to my agent and there, appointment is set. Edit: Some red flags for future readers - 1) this is the only home inspector of the five we reached out to who required full payment BEFORE the appointment. 2) he sent the original contract at midnight the night before he cancelled and cancelled it at 6:30pm, meaning he gave us less than 18 hours to read, sign and pay for a contract. 3) Since he cancelled on us last minute, I politely asked (pleaded, even) for him to reconsider - I said I would pay and sign then, but he denied us. This guy is probably sadistic or sociopathic at the least - it seemed he took pleasure in leaving us without help. 4) There are several typos in his reply above - keep in mind that this is who will be analyzing your home and writing your 100+ page inspection report. I'm sorry Lisa - this review is about 6 years too late but now I can add on BOTH my experiences with you. So six years ago... I shopped around and "interviewed" several home inspectors because I was a first time homebuyer and extremely nervous. Lisa seemed to be the most experienced, communicative, and listener about what I needed. Boy did I make the RIGHT decision. She walked me through everything, patiently answered all of my questions, pointed out everything in the home that would need work and how to do it, and gave me great advice on how to be a good homeowner. Six years later... any issue that ever came up with this home... Lisa had put into her report years earlier. There was nothing that I didn't know about this house by the time I moved into it. Fast Forward Six years and Lisa is still doing an amazing job and still doing what she does best and I find her information again and beg her to do the inspection on my new house that we are currently undergoing escrow on. She is flexible, kind, and shows up on time and works around the Seller's schedule (which by the way the termite inspection company refused to do so I had to find a different company). I jokingly call her Professor Yetter because she is so knowledgeable and I learn so much from her each time I talk to her and interact with her and she understands and picks up on the fact that I love all her insight and offers me ALOT of intel. She patiently did an almost 4 hour walk through with me today answering all of my questions and telling me how to take care of my new home. She is brilliant and getting your home inspected and taking "Professor Yetter's Course" will be the BEST MONEY YOU'VE EVER SPENT. She actually brought along an associate today and he was fantastic as well. My husband really liked him and thought he was very thorough. DAMN!!! I first learned about Staci when I was selling my house (the buyer hired Staci). When I…read moreread the report I was like if we stay here there is sooo much stuff to fix (which in my opinion you WOULD want to know as a homeowner to prevent potential costly disasters). I also learned a ton of info from Staci's detailed report. And I kept it in the back of my mind. So when I recently went to purchase a home I hired Staci. Staci really is a detective just like the logo. I went through the house and the builder tried to gaslight me and say things I pointed out were "normal". And then Staci's report came in and found so much more stuff than I saw but also confirmed the small things I noticed. Staci is very responsive and worked with my schedule. And the report came back a few days later. I'm not sure how Staci can give that much detail so quickly. There is no way AI could EVER take over Staci's job. Ha. Not only did Staci's report find major issues, it is also comprehensive with helpful information like knowing what my roof is made of, how often to have it repaired and how long it should last. Staci should be teaching those master classes that's how detail oriented they are. When I purchased my previous house we hired 1 inspector, then a 2nd inspector to make sure everything got fixed and to see if a second person would catch anything else wrong with the house. Now that Staci found all these issues with the house I'm going to do the same thing to make sure everything is fixed. However, we are definitely hiring Staci for the 2nd inspection too. My husband even said "we are hiring Staci again right?" I told him not only are we hiring Staci again, we need to keep hiring Staci just to figure out things we are missing on upkeep of the house.
