This is a family owned business where hard work, good communication and personable customer service are combined with excellent auto body work. The location is a little hard to find and don't expect a fancy waiting room- it's a little rough around the edges, the way a classic American garage should be- these guys work for a living. Our story was, my wife inherited a 2012 Prius from her 92 year old dad. Like many older drivers there was a little damage to the car, the front bumper was fairly messed up. I had taken the car into the big chain repair shops and got sort of quick, not very involved quotes for a lot of money. My mechanic (Maestro Motors- West Seattle) recommended Alpine. Dennis (son of the owner) gave me a detailed explanation of what needed to be done, several options about how it could be done and the quality of OEM versus aftermarket parts, and he could take it in the same day. Wow. Their price was reasonable, their work excellent and they had the car back the next day. Dennis' dad (the owner) even gave me a ride home! Now this was a small job, and their schedule was open that day, and it was an out of pocket expense so it might be the best case scenario but it still feels like great customer service. read more

First, I would like to say that having to deal with any body shop or anything to do with a car can be very stressful...EXCEPT when you come to Alpine. I was nervous. I had an appointment with another company who "lost" my reservation when I brought my car to be fixed. I called 2 shops and the one that answered was Alpine Auto Center. They were professional, they were nice, they told me to just bring your car in and they would look at it. Well, when I got there, they greeted me, looked at my car and said we can fix this for you. They gave me a timeline and I left my car with them that day. Communication was fabulous and when I would call with a question, they were just as kind as they were when I first called them. These guys are the real deal. The car was ready when they said it would be, and the estimate they gave me was spot on for all the work they had to do. Their workmanship and work ethic - amazing. These guys do it all. Towing very efficient, beautiful paint jobs every time. I had a honda civic that every shop i went could not figure out how to fix, i brought it to Alpine , Dennis and Ruby made it a priority to fix. The car was running poorly, and i was ready to give up on it and just sell it as is but they didn't give up on it and tried everything possible to diagnose the issue. Sure enough they were able to fix the mysterious issue that no other mechanic could figure out, the engine wiring had became defective and there was no check engine light to determine that, due to their engineering background they were able to get me back on the road. These guys are very advanced with every service they provide as well as being positive the whole way through. I will be bringing every vehicle straight to them! The worst place ever!!!!!!! Do not trust the owner. He will tell you what ever you want to here to sell you car or fix it. If you don't care about your car and ok with shady work and low on money maybe place to go but make sure price is written or he raise price after he get hold of your car. You can tell where new paint was done in my car bc of difference in color and they didn't use any under coating so paint will pile off later. When it rains my trunk get wet bc of improperly installed. When I first went to pick up my car there was two inch gap between trunk and bumper. Second time, looked like fixed but later discover used wrong bumper and forced in and used seal to closed gap. These guys will cut corners to less cost for them and gave me messed up car. This family owned and operated shop was highly recommended to me by a friend and Alpine did not disappoint! I've recently developed a troubling rattle in my car and, about to take a road trip, figured I should have it taken care of beforehand. Dennis took an immediate look at it and, determining it to be a small issue, took care of it without charge. We spoke at length about car care and my various options going forward. Long story short, my vehicle was disabled in a garage that required 6'11" clearance. Prior tow services could not get in nor were they resourceful enough to figure out how to get to my vehicle.
