Omg! Get the family 4 pack and enjoy not only the crispy edge Detroit pizza of choice but a salad, hot honey brussels and chicken wings! It is a lot of food and everyone in our group (2 adults and 2 teens) was stuffed with food leftover! So glad we found this place for takeout when we visited Vail. Phenomenal pizza! We got a pepperoni slice (with habanero honey hot sauce), cheeseburger slice (slice of the day), and cheese slice (with ricotta and hot honey). We ended up going back for another slice and some pesto (nut free!) cheesy garlic bread. Yum! Highly recommend! read more

Was excited to try this place recommended by a lot of locals with a promising looking social media page. Unfortunately the experience was poor. Simply put overly burnt greasy oily pizza that nobody finished probably due to the lack of flavor . We ordered wings that were rubbery and fatty. With an attitude from employees that matched the food, poor. Incredibly expensive and wasteful to have to throw away left over food we paid for because we were served garbage . Sure these restaurants with social media accounts can cherry pick the best of the best of their pictures to display to their customers, but when it comes to consistency and performance in their actual business and what level of product they are putting out everyday seems to fall short of their internet standards . read more

Wanting a quick pit stop before hitting the slopes again, we stopped in this little corner restaurant. We ordered a slice of pizza, pesto breadsticks, and a hot honey chicken sandwich. We were worried about food to slopes time but wow, sometimes you hit a gem and have to take time to enjoy. The pizza and breadsticks were a lighter Detroit style pizza. Warm airy, gooey, crispy 5/5. The hot honey sandwich was spur of the moment decision and wow, it was amazing. The chicken had a nice crispy coat and the pickles and bread were great with the sweet and spicy drizzle of honey. 5/5. I stopped in for quick bite for lunch. They had five pizzas of the day - pepperoni, meat lovers, mushroom and onion, cheese and some type of pesto cheese. I had a slice of meat lovers and cheese. We were lucky to be staying at Vantage Point condos across the way from Alpine Pizza and after reading the Yelp love I went over and picked up a pie, Brussels sprouts, Caesar salad and tater tots. The pizza is Detroit style and was somehow even better the next day, it's really that good. The sides, particularly the sprouts, were practically finished before the box was fully opened. Vail is unique in that there's very little food delivery options and Alpine is a to-go setting (not sit-down) so if you're looking for excellent pizza to bring back to your place, Alpine is the way to go. read more

We went to a couple different pizza places in Vail, and would recommend Alpine Pizza Co first. We stopped in after a rain storm for a quick slice. The staff was great and after ordering just one slice they were kind enough to offer to cut in half, knowing my wife and I were going to split it. They serve a thick, pan style Za, with a good crust, sauce, and cheese. The place is small with no seating inside (there are some nearby steps/community tables near by). This place is on the Lions Head side of town and worth the walk over from Vail Village if you are looking for a good Za. read more

Took out pizza this past weekend. Surprised that they only offer three varieties of pizza: cheese, pepperoni, and their special of the day. All deep dish. Lucky for us the special was bbq chicken, because it was the best bbq pizza I have ever had. It's a small pizza take out spot, with no tables or chairs, making the best pizza in Eagle county, and maybe the state. Detroit style with a perfectly crunchy crust. Great dough, delicious sauce, and not shy with the cheese. Roni cups are delicious, but always ask about the pie of the day. They also make a great Nashville hot chicken sandwich, and a salad, but I always go for the pie. It's not the cheapest pizza in town, but it's worth every penny. Also, get the hot honey. read more

Driving through vail and stopped for a quick bite. Counter to go place. Kids got a slice each and I asked the guy at the register if he would recommend the hot honey chicken sandwich or the Nashville chicken sandwich. He got an attitude with me and told me that the Nashville is hotter and it's my decision because I'm the one eating it. Yeah. Thanks. They both are spicy chicken sandwiches. I wanted an opinion of someone who had seen them and likely had them. Skipped the sandwich. If I would have started with that question and gotten the attitude I would have skipped the slices too and found a different restaurant to support. They always have cheese and pepperoni pizza, with a daily special that's always different. The one point to note is they don't deliver, even to the neighboring Vail Village. But! Best Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich my family has every had! It's not too spicy that you can't enjoy the flavors! They bun was a great accomplishment to the sandwich. It wasn't just bla bread. The service was fast and we actually ate there twice during our weekend stay, and each service member was kind. I also wanted to note that I too got the honey Brussels sprouts- they were very amazing! Restaurants in Vail are all kinds, but this corner spot was a Gem! We'll eat here every time we visit!! So the comments about "the ginger" weren't entirely inaccurate. There is a red-headed fellow that works there, and while he wasn't friendly, he also wasn't overtly rude. Y'all. This place only had 13 reviews, but all 5 star so we called for a pick up. The special of the day was capicola ham, pepperoni and jalapeño. We told the owner we were from Texas so make it spicy and he threw in hot honey sauce. So good. Like amazing. The crust is thick but crispy but soft and chewy. The sauce was delicious. Tons of toppings. Great cheese. $30 and easily feeds 4 people. Park in the garage and walk across the street. Super convenient, but even if it wasn't, it would be worth the effort. Absolutely the BEST pizza we have had in Vail, hands down!!! The crust was perfectly crunchy and delicious, their sauce is made up of chunks of tomato that are so flavorful and present in every bite, and their cheese is melted perfectly and allows and the sauce & toppings to pop! 1) The pizza is fabulous as is the Caesar salad 2) navigating the limited number of restaurants in Lionshead is challenging. I highly recommend if you are looking for very good food, don't have a reservation and want to take something back to your hotel- which are often overwhelmed by surges of holiday travelers. read more
