We found this place during our recent stay at the Arrabelle at Vail. Its a short 1 minute walk from Arrabelle. The place itself is a small takeout shop and has a small Blue seating bench outside (which can seat 4 comfortably). Service is fast and friendly and pizza slices are out within 2 minutes. The pizza itself was amazing. I tried the pepperoni slice and it was one of the best slices of pizza I have ever had. The crust was crunchy and thick - exactly as I like.

Add the hot honey, can't go wrong. Also their in-house hot sauce is worth it. Apparently their wings are top notch but we didn't get to try it but my best friend swears to it. Awesome spot I can't wait to come back.

Came here while in vail for a wedding, and oh my gosh! It may have been the best pizza I've ever had. The crust was so good. The sauce/toppings everything!!! Even my dad said so (and he's hard to please)y husband also got wings (huge) and delicious. It was a little expensive- but I think it was worth it! It's a walk up to the counter- order kind of place, no seating inside, but there's tables around. We went in the office season so there was no wait and tables available. Definitely recommend and definitely would go back if in vail again!

Starving for pizza, we decided to try Vail's only Detroit pizzeria and were NOT disappointed at all. Alpine is top-notch. First, the Detroit pizza is spot-on with a crunchy parmesan crust, gooey cheese and tangy tomato racing stripes. We also got the pie of the day: Korean shortribs and banana peppers - we assumed it would just be a novelty try, but it was really good, a nice mix of sweet and savory beef mixed with sharp peppers. We also got a Caesar salad, wings (grilled) and brussel sprouts - each unique and good in its own way. All this is to say that we would go back to Alpine Pizza in an instant; not only the best pizza in Vail, but good enough to go toe-to-toe with any other pizza out there.

During a long weekend stay, I had Alpine Pizza Co. twice. Yes it's that damn good. Probably some of the best pizza I've had in my pizza eating journey. During our stops we tried their Pizza of the Day options which were the Buffalo Chicken and the Caprese. Add the hot honey, can't go wrong. Also their in-house hot sauce is worth it. Apparently their wings are top notch but we didn't get to try it but my best friend swears to it. Awesome spot I can't wait to come back.

This is quite literally my favorite place to grab a bite for lunch in Lionshead! Their pizzas are unique and always delicious. I most recently got the lunch combo with their spinach white pie with ricotta cheese and garlic confit and a side of hot honey Brussel sprouts with a Dr Pepper. Not only was it a good deal for everything I got- but it was to die for. I had 3 different people in my office ask where I got my lunch bc it smelled and looked so good! Can't wait to continue eating here

Had a great lunch today at Alpine Pizza Company! Located at the Lionshead Village at Vail, Alpine Pizza Company is a small walk-up pizza spot that serves Detroit-style pizza, wings, sandwiches, and a variety of sides. My brother, dad, and I ordered a full Pepperoni pie, a Caesar salad, and an 8 count of wings to share. 8 count wings: Great. Average size, juicy meat, and a deliciously sweet, tangy, and spicy gold sauce. Gotta get this with the ranch. Caesar salad: Large, could easily be split by three people or devoured by one hungry individual. Perfectly-sized pieces of lettuce, refreshing dressing, and nice peppery flavor. Detroit-style pizza: Phenomenal. Usually a fan of thin-crust, but this was one great pie. The crust was cracklingly crispy (especially those edge pieces), the cheese and marinara weren't excessive, and the pizza didn't flop. Order this pizza. If you're craving some Detroit style pizza, or looking for some food that'll warm you up on a cold day, come by the Alpine Pizza Company!

Paid for the family meal for 6. Well worth it. Paid 105. Online said 90 but was worth the 105. The honey Brussels sprouts were one of the best appetizers I've ever had. I was so excited to try the food just based on the smell I didn't take any actual photos of what I ate. So sorry in advance. For Chicago pizza it in my opinion was not too bready which I feel is typical for that style.

I was skeptical at first at the price of a whole pie...but 100% worth it. Deep dish, loaded with pepperoni and toasted buttery crust. Added a side of fresh whipped ricotta...so so good! The side Cesar salad was excellent! read more

Fantastic Detroit style pizza. Stayed at the Arrabelle and walked over to get a pizza of the day. Speedy service, Togo beers and friendly service. Pro tip..Take that pizza and beers to the rooftop pool and enjoy. We will be back for sure! read more

Run, don't walk to Alpine Pizza Co. in Lionshead in Vail! The pizzas with the caramelized crusts are amazing and delicious. Each day, check Instagram for the day's special pizza. We had a Greek pizza with lamb one night and it was outstanding. Also, the pizza with marinara sauce is really good, the caesar salad is fantastic - outstanding dressing, and the brussels sprouts with hot honey were so good we couldn't stop eating them. Owner/chef Colby is a very nice guy, as is the entire staff. Alpine Pizza is a winning newcomer to Vail! read more

Having grown up on Detroit-style Buddy's pizza, I have been looking for a comparable pizza in Colorado since I moved here 15 years ago, without much success. I found it tonight at Alpine Pizza! The place is unassuming because it's tiny, has no indoor seating and only three pizza options. But who cares?!? The pizza was AMAZING and just like Buddy's. Perfect carmelized crust, right amount of sauce and generous toppings!! It was delicious! I wish I lived here because I'd get it every week! read more

Pizza was really good. We came over to lions head for a bit and saw the reviews of this place. Detroit style, was super crispy and had cup n char pepperoni, that means a lot in the pizza world. We grabbed a few slices and ate in the corner. That's the only downfall, wish they had seating. They had outside tables but no heaters and we did not have ski gear on so was unbearable to eat outside. Great food to go place. read more

So how does this place have so few reviews? I think it's to keep it a secret. Pizza is awesome, for context this is already made pizza that's reheated in the oven when you order, typical of most by the slice places. So if you're a pizza snob this may not fit your bill but I review on what is advertised which is by the slice. Got the combo slice with a side salad and drink, think it was 15 bucks. In Vail great deal and employee was super nice. Pepperoni was the little kind that curls up and crisps on top with grease in the bottom, my favorite. read more

They weren't too familiar with the breakfast at the places we mentioned, but one person immediately said, "There's The Little Diner right down the street. The flavors matched the presentation too. My wife said the sausage gravy was outstanding, and my Eggs Benedict was excellent as well. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the potatoes were very good, and the hollandaise sauce had great flavor. While sitting at the counter, we spent some time talking with our server. She told us she had been there since shortly after the diner first opened. Unfortunately, she also explained that the building is scheduled to be demolished so condos can be built above the property, and they are unsure whether the diner will be able to return afterward. It's honestly sad to hear about a place this good possibly being pushed out because of rising development and rental costs. I understand building owners want to maximize profits, but it's disappointing when small local businesses that people truly enjoy are forced out by higher rents and redevelopment. Places like this are what give towns character. Overall, this place was excellent. Great food, friendly people, and exactly the kind of local spot you hope to find while traveling.

I had a cup of green pork chili that was one of the best I've ever tasted. The ambiance was fantastic and so was the kind and professional service. I really enjoyed our stay in Vail. And this restaurant was a big part of that.

The gondola is cool because we had our own speak to play whatever we pleased! It felt very private and intimate which I really enjoyed. I loved the decor throughout the restaurant and our gondola had cute little touches as well. For example they had a coo coo clock that when off every hour. For drinks I tried their feuerzangenbowle and the muled wine. My husband got a Hugo spritz and jagertee. I loved my drinks the feuerzangenbowle uses flambé which was so cool!, it's pretty similar to the muled wine. Muled wine is always a favorite of mine when the weather gets cold! Our server was awesome and super attentive. He answered any questions we had and was very friendly. The gondolas have a set menu we ended up ordering more that was on the set menu since I wanted fondue and my husband wanted the raclette. We added on a fondue, ordered the raclette that came on our fixed menu and added on steak, along with the pretzel that comes as an appetizer. The food was really good, I think it is also just so cozy and suiting for the cold weather! Fondue and raclette are also just such a fun way to dine! Highly recommend and definitely will be back just to try the standard experience too without the gondola.

The feuerzangenbowle is a fun, warm drink with mulled wine and they will light the rum-soaked sugar cube. Slightly limited on options if you don't eat pork but you will find something like the salad with chicken schnitzel to get your schnitzel fix. The spätzle that came with the pork schnitzel was amazing. This was a fun place to come and on our next trip to Vail would like to try the apple strudel dessert that I did not have room for this time.

If I was rating on service only, I would have given my experience 1 star, but food is my priority so I try to rate my experience based on that. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the food. Arguably one of my best meals in Vail considering food quality combined with value, though I am typically here with kids so not dining out high end. I got there at 6:15pm and with an 8pm close time, and there were only 4 slices left, 3 pepperoni and 1 special slice with pepperoni. Pepperoni is not my thing. The person working told me that at this time of day, without any apologies, is when they stop making slices. You can only order a pie. Given that I am buying for one; that was a no-go. Got a side ceasar, side of brussels and 2 cheese sticks. All REALLY good and portions were generous! Brussels were as good as any sit down restaurants I've had them in (and I live in foodie country), ceasar was made special by using what seems to be the breadstick crust as croutons and pesto cheese breadsticks were good in their own right, but the marinara dipping sauce did not seem to be standard pizza place fare, it had good flavor, more refined. Gotta give credit for providing good quality food at a decent price in what I consider to be an overpriced tourist food desert. I will definitely be back again. read more
