I would say this is an easy 5 star restaurant. The service was fantastic. We sat down in a great spot for a party of 6 with incredible views. The food too was delicious. Mouth watering sandwhichs and great tasting tomato soup.

Worth every penny!!! I have been coming to Telluride for many years, not sure how I never visited this place! Zero negatives - except it is first come first serve. The wine and the food, right off the slopes with a warm fire. I wish I could have that experience every day of skiing.

One of my favorite places in Colorado! High elevation fine dining with a delightful wine list, excellent service, and delicious food! And the views and atmosphere are incomparable. I have fond memories of drinking bubbly in a blizzard here, but today's weather was warm and sunny. My go is the waygu grilled cheese with tomato soup, chef's kiss. Ski-in-ski out for lunch, or you could also reserve a snowcat ride up there for dinner.

This was probably one of the best meals we've ever had. Definitely the best meal we've had on a ski mountain. We stopped in for lunch on our wedding anniversary and had such a tasty lunch paired with really nice wines. The atmosphere was very charming with blankets on the chairs to keep us warm and a nice fireplace. The server was fantastic and the gentleman that greeted us at the door was Super friendly and helpful. We recommend you get there when they open or have a dinner reservation, especially if it's snowing.

This restaurant is one that I look forward to every time I ski at Telluride. You have to get there early to book a reservation and it's worth it! Their tomato Gorgonzola soup is out of this world! I loathe Gorgonzola cheese but this soup, I dream about. It's THAT good! Inside, it's cozy with lots of hooks to hang your gear as well as a fireplace to warm you. The outside seating offers amazing views of the mountains with fur covered seats. You really can't go wrong with anything here. I got the sandwich and soup combo and could easily eat this for lunch every single day of my life and be so happy. Their hot chocolate was the perfect dessert. We even got to witness a proposal while here! All the feels!

Great charcuterie board such wonderful meats and cheese and all then accompaniments Tom was a wonderful server and we also have to give a shout out to Kevin his coworker The building is perfect for a top of the ski lift with cozy throws on the chairs inside and out Perfect deck if it's a nice day Forgot to take a pic of the charcuterie board but it was epic Next time We might get a panini and soup as it looked pretty epic

Despite the hefty price tags, we picked this restaurant over Allred, another highly rated restaurant in Telluride, during our ski trip. Enjoyed the excellent views ,experience , & service. However, the price-fixe -4 course menu was below average. What annoyed us most about was that the 20% tips were already included in the bill but the servers were "encouraging " us to add the additional tips as if they wouldn't be paid for unless we added the additional tips on top of the 20% of the total bills. When we questioned about it , they clarified it but it was not explained to others ( we overheard it) in that way. The Website describes it as they were the highest elevation restaurant in North America at 11,966ft( not verifiable) & that they were one of the top 100-must -try restaurants in the world. As a one time experience dining at the " highest elevation restaurant " on a snowy night sounded pretty cool but , in my opinion, it's nothing but a tourist trap, (including ourselves being sucked into it ). They should do better with improving the quality of the food : after one bite of the main dish- overcooked/dry fish wrapped in the cabbage, was too bland, tasteless that I couldn't eat another bite. Their wine selection was pretty good , however, & the sommeliers were knowledgeable. Overall, three star.

Such an amazing authentic experience in Telluride! They pick you up at the San Sophia Gondola station and drive you up the mountain in the snowcat for about 15-20min to the restaurant. We were on the 530 time slot and got to see a beautiful sunset on the way up the mountain! When we arrived we were greeted with a glass of Prosecco and told to go inside to find our seat. We were greeted and given the tasting menu for the night and asked what options we would like for the entree and dessert, and if we wanted the wine pairing. We definitely accepted on the wine pairing because why not!!! For the starter, it was a delicious squash soup with a pickled ginger toile on top. The pasta course was a mushroom stuffed pasta with a white cheese sauce which was to die for! For the entree, there was a choice of a bison ribeye or seared sea bass! The bison was my favorite of the two but mainly because of the delicious Barolo wine pairing! For dessert, there was a choice between deconstructed tiramisu or a cheese plate. Both were delicious! To top it all off, we had two members of our party that couldn't make it last minute due to feeling dizzy at altitude. They still charged the cancellation fee, but gave us food to go to take them home! I would 100% recommend this experience to any couple looking for a fun romantic night!

Average restaurant 3.6/5 stars. Service was friendly and fast. Came on a weekday at 11am without any wait. It can get busy on the weekends with a long wait. It is slopeside with great views. 1. Tomato gorgonzola soup - Smaller side bowl but very flavorful. Strong tomato taste and you don't taste the cheese as much. 2. Alpino salad - Medium size salad. Good mix of cheese, walnuts, and grapes with a fruity dressing. Overall a good slopeside restaurant for lunch. It will be pricier than usual due to location.

Alpino It's a must try when on the mountain skiing ! We got there at the end of the day (2:30) and they were no longer seating anyone so as to prepare for dinner. The maitre d' was kind enough seat us but food would not be an option. That was fine w me , I only wanted wine anyway ! The Somm was excellent, friendly, and personable. (Wish I could remember his name him but cannot recall! ) He informed us all about the fine dining experience which we will definitely book for next year! Oh that view at 11, 960 feet elevation is an experience in and of itself!

Service is 5 star. Great staff. Get there before 10:45 to ensure you get on the list for seating that day. Expensive, but unique dining experience.

Our ride to and from dinner!

Our party witnessed Kenny having multiple glasses of wine throughout the evening, and this likely contributed to our issues. After a delicious meal and experience we were presented with a receipt that erroneously stated we had one more drink than we ordered. The meal was over $800, so a $20 drink error should have been corrected with no issues. However Kenny insisted he was correct, and then we overheard him say to cancel our reservation. 30 minutes after we paid (including the extra drink we did not order) our Open Table reservation was canceled so now we can't leave a review on Open Table. Dine here at your own risk. The food is delicious, but be aware of drinking issues by the chef's husband.

When was the last time you ate somewhere and then cancelled your next evening's reservation…read moreelsewhere so that you could return to this same restaurant again? Yes - it is that good. Let me give you the deets: First of all...it is up at Mountain Village. The Little Bar at the Lumiere (per OpenTable.com), is nicely located at the intimate 28-room* Lumiere Hotel (near the gondolas). You take the garage elevator to the 4th floor and voila...swanky, cozy, elegant lounge. It is IMHO (in my honest opinion) TELLURIDE'S BEST KEPT SECRET! A Conde Nast top 100 hotel...and the bar + restaurant is exceptional. Lumiere Little Bar staff Kat and Alex took excellent care of us as we selected a cozy corner of this beautifully understated, mountain cozy bar lounge. The fireplaces, lounge tunes (think Zero 7 and Bitter:Sweet), and ambiance here are like a Four Seasons private residence lounge, but with even better food! I knew we were in for a treat when we asked each of these lovely Lumiere ambassadors what they like on the menu, and both were GUSHING about the food...and both struggled to find the words to explain just why the dishes tasted so good. It was geniune...honest...they were still gushing. We started to get the idea that perhaps we were going to be amazed with our dishes no matter which ones we chose. We chose items based on their recommendations: the caesar salad, short rib taco, mushroom lasagna. We weren't starving since we had a large lunch, but we were eager to see what all this fuss was about! First up was the bread basket. It included a couple of lovely, warmed ciabatta rolls (whole grain wheat and plain) with salted butter. Excellent, traditional start. Then the caesar. The caesar dressing is amazing. Magic. Made with...love? The balance of lemon, garlic, white anchovy, the texture of the parmesan...wow. Best caesar in memory. Truly. Then, the short rib taco. OMG. Three letters. F*c%$ng Awesome. Fourteen letters. Either way, it rocked. The flavors in it...salty, tangy, sweet...umami. Perfection. The lasagna...WOW. Three letters again. F*c7$ng Incredible. You do the math. Meantime, I'm eating the lasagna. (Diversion - that's my strategy.) The lasagna...deconstructed to a certain degree with a melange of vegetables and lentils off to the side, with a gorgeously fried tofu cube...the crispy lasagna pasta layers atop creamy goat cheese, ricotta...mushrooms. Right about now, I started to formulate my strategy to maintain room for dessert. That lemon tart with chocolate, hazelnut crust, vanilla whipped creme and berry compote...definitely had my number. As in 911. Urgent and immediate attention required. The dessert arrived and you know you love someone (or you're just pretty mind-blowingly thoughtful) when you put down your fork and say, "...oh no - you go ahead and eat the rest. I'm full." I did not even remember to take a picture before devouring it. I could have eaten an entire tart by myself. Not one 'dessert' portion. The whole tart. I can peddle up the mountain again tomorrow to burn those calories, I think to myself. Piece of tart, err um, I mean cake. I learned that Chef Eamonn O'Hara is the magic man behind the curtain. I think we ought to erect a monument in his name. My guy suggested an addition to Mt Rushmore. I say Rushmore isn't thinking big enough. Yep - it's passionate, head-over-heels-love at Foodie first taste Mr. O'Hara. Meantime, I guess we'll just have to go back tomorrow night for another dining revelation as we figure out to get this guy's magic to reach us back home in Boulder, CO. For now, I just say make this a MUST DINE while in Telluride or the surrounding, say, 500 miles. Alex, Kat, Chef Eamonn...You da bomb. We'll see you in 24. *18 guest rooms, 10 residences as we learned. In any case, it's intimate, charming and understated.
