We came to Al's garage for an appetizer and starter and they were both great. Our server Brandi was great and gave us great food recommendations. Inside there are multiple TVs with different shows playing on each screen. They are also playing music inside, it is not too loud but louder than I would like. My husband and I were super excited to try this place because we've had such an awesome experience at John Cutter. John Cutter is next door to Al's garage and when you sign up for their text alerts, you also receive specials for Al's Garage. The service was horrible. My soda cup had a crack and we patiently waited for our server to come back so we can inform her but it took her so long that the napkin was soaked so my husband just got up and asked the bartender for a cup. We were almost done with our meal and our drink cups were empty and stayed empty for the longest time. Our server wasn't rude or anything but she just avoided our table. We watched her check on her other tables but seemed to always forget about us. Other workers would pass by and I get that they are assigned a section but it would have been nice if at least once someone asked if we needed anything because we really did! So we really, really enjoyed Rustic House so we thought, since it's the same company with similar menus, the steak and crab leg special at Al's would be rock solid. This is a really cool poker bar on the west side of town. I would've given it five stars but, I'm giving it one star because of the bartender. I think his name is Bob, not sure. The older guy with a limp, works the afternoon shift. he doesn't care about Customer Service. He acts like he is the king of the bar. This is a VGK bar/eatery located in the west part of Vegas, like on the way to Red Rock it's nestled in the SW corner of a busy shopping center. Parking wasn't too bad. Lots of food options in the center. We came because of the Thursday night crab & steak dinner special. $18 for an ok portion of precut crab legs and a very nice little steak. No frills, no unnecessary side dishes. Husband ordered fish and chips. This is one large piece of fish and seasoned fat cut fries. They were very tasty. Limited seating inside, lots of options outside. The game was being broadcast on all TVs and on loudspeakers outside. Service was a bit slow, but it was fun to watch a guy win $3k on a free standing keno machine. read more

The first visit was great, and all was tasty and the waitress was very nice, so much so we gave her a big tip. It was a Tuesday and I had their burger, which was on special. We went back on a different day, I had their burger again, but this time it wasn't good at all. There was absolutely no seasoning on it, it really lacked flavor, and it was pricey since it wasn't a Tuesday. The onion rings were rock hard, almost like gum cutting hard. The waitress this time seemed like she didn't really want to work at all, we had to ask for refills. We might try it one more time, not sure yet, but I will never order that burger again. read more

The hubby ordered the chicken fried steak, it looked good, but was ice cold, maybe it had been sitting waiting for my beer battered fish. The fish had an odd taste to it like maybe it had been marinated in vinegar & the inside of the batter was very mushy. On a positive note my meal was hot as heck & the fries were good. Even though I gave this place 1 well deserved star in 2020 I found myself here a few times during 2021, twice in the last week. The proximity to my house, decent bar food, drinks, sports and music videos are all great, but the service here is literally zero stars and this last visit was no exception. I was with a large party Saturday morning. I ordered breakfast and bottomless mimosas. Menu states 7 am to noon for the bottomless service. Most of our party left after a couple hours so we settled our bill. Gabriella, the waitress brought one bill with no option to break it up so couples could pay together or those paying cash could pay together, etc. Two of us decided to stay. Both of us had paid for bottomless. We moved to the bar to sit with another couple. I ordered another mimosas and was told it would not be part of bottemless because tab closed and bottomless was two hours. No where did it say two hours or were we given that information. It was 11:30 when I was ordered it. She eventually gave it to me because I stated what I wrote here. But honestly you're a local bar catering to locals and you treat them like sh kip*t each and every time. On this visit we also had to flag down Gabriella or literally anyone working there when we needed something. By anyone even the bus boys when they were opened the kitchen door we tried to get their attention. I had to go to bar twice to request Splenda. I mean save us both time and bring appropriate condiments when corresponding items are ordered. You know, cream, sugar, jam, butter, etc. I would also like to add their sister restaurant, John Cutter, requested hikers, cyclists, etc., to park at the high school across the street instead of taking up what is arguably a shared lot for the entire center, and I don't believe they have a right to enforce that. And arguably those are the same people that patronize Cutter's, Al's, and the other eating establishments upon their return. I know I have which is one of the reasons I keep finding myself at the sh*tty, no customer service having establishment. And on this particular morning there were two tables, us and another large party so this placed was not packed and there was plenty of parking. Go with low expectations and you won't be disappointed! read more

They're open 24 hours a day, so it's a good place to get some day drankin' done after a strenuous hike at the nearby Red Rock Canyon National Park. It's a bar/restaurant with bar top video poker machines. It's totally blacked out like most casinos are, so sometimes, it doesn't look like it's open. The air conditioning is cold, the service is fast and friendly, the beer is cold, and the food is pretty decent. They have about 6 boring beers on draft, but over a dozen interesting bottle beers available. They have the usual bar food, but also a couple of decent salads. We each ordered the Al's Raked Out Salad ($8), but realized after the fact, that there was enough in the salad to be shared between two hungry hikers. The salad consisted of mixed greens, roasted tomatoes & artichokes, red onion, goat cheese crumbles, craisins, toasted almonds, and topped with a tasty sherry vinaigrette. The waitress was so sweet and brought me a new meal. It still was overcooked. I never complained. She just knew it wasn't right because I was eating it. Been to Al's several times, waiting to review so I could get the overall experience and not one just based on a first time visit. The positives aspects are it's rarely busy so getting a booth or table isn't a problem. The servers are friendly and attentive and there are plenty of TV'S showing various events. The problem lies in there food. I get it, bar food is bar food. I've eaten a lot of it and I'm very aware not to have unrealistic expectations of this type of venue...BUT, when a customer asks specifically for a med-well to well-done hamburger with "no pink" they shouldn't get the response "all of our hamburgers are cooked med-well and the cooks don't take requests" Really? Every time I've asked for well-done it comes med-rare, all pink except for the first 1/16th that was in contact with the grill. I've included a pic of a half eaten hamburger so you see what I mean, (apologies for showing a partly eaten burger). Perhaps changing what sounds like a business policy of the cooks not taking requests on how the customer wants his burger cooked would be a good start to improving customer service.
