This was my first time trying Al's Garage, and I was so impressed by it! I've had the $30 steak and crab special from a sister restaurant before, at least I think Rustic House is related? Anyways, it was so delicious, cooked perfectly medium rare, and the serving of crab was quite generous. My boyfriend and I added one side of sweet potato fries (which were fantastic) to share but his mom got tater tots with her meal and they were ICONIC. The restaurant itself is incredibly clean and well-maintained, and the service was top-notch. Very welcoming staff, quick to help out, and not judgmental at all when we couldn't find our silverware in a mason jar on the table lol. This is definitely a nice laid back, any time of day, spot for a good meal. I will say there weren't any sports games going on at the time we went, so I can't speak to how busy or not it might get when football or something is on! Will have to report back on that. read more

I had been here many, many years ago when it was a Mexican restaurant but hadn't been back since it was redone as a sports bar. I decided to try this for something different. First off, it is DARK inside. Once again, I used my phone to illuminate the menu. I ordered Al's Club. You get one side. I ordered fries. While waiting, I watched the basketball game on the large screen facing me. In a short time, the server brought my sandwich and it was large. You can see in my photo how much turkey was in the sandwich. I knew that this would be a takeout night. After finishing half the sandwich, I asked for a box, and I took the other half home and had the next day. It was a tasty dinner and great to have leftover food for the next day. Went to this place in a party of 9. The establishment was not busy maybe 4 people total in the bar. We sat at our table for almost 10 minutes without even an acknowledgment. This was about 1030 on 08/04/26. I guess they didn't need the money. The bartender didn't appear to be busy doing anything other than talking to the one patron at the bar. We normally eat in this area every few weeks. We will not be returning to this location. Very disappointed. On the bright side Baby Stacks, right across the walkway gained our business. read more

It's not just the food it's also the service that makes a meal. Jessica was an awesome server. Her friendly and helpful attitude really made our dinner more enjoyable. We enjoyed the Wedge Salad, a classic and favorite of mine and the hubs decided on the Steak & Crab Legs special. The steak was cooked to his preference and was tender and delicious. The food is marginal bar food, except for the hamburger special on Wednesdays and Saturdays - that is a good burger! The waitresses are young and attractive but make more mistakes than anything they get correct. We have been going to Al's Garage for years. The food is excellent and the service has always been spot on. The recent visit we ordered take out. We always get the grilled chicken sandwich which we feel is the best chicken sandwich in town. And with that great sandwich comes the best steak fries in town. This time was disappointing. We ordered the chicken sandwich with the side of fries and cook I guess decided to forget to give us our normal portion. We thought it was kind of strange that the fries were on the bottom and the sandwich sat on the paper on top of the fries. Normally we get the sandwich and the fries are stuffed in the to go box. Stopped in there after a motorcycle ride at the bartender and waitress are absolutely sweet young ladies. After a few minutes they told me I had to remove my riding vest. They said that they do not allow motorcycle clubs to wear their colors in the establishment. Something to do with gaming laws. I call bullshit on that. My vest has my military patches and my deployment patches on it. No motorcycle club whatsoever so this showed they were anti-military and not the waitress but the owner because she said the owner had called and told her to have me remove it. I had my service dog with me and she is small and fits inside my jacket. After a few minutes, the bartender came over and told me that the owner saw me on camera and saw that I had my service dog and told me my service dog was not allowed in the restaurant. ADA states otherwise. I told her it was a service dog and she said then the owner said the service dog has to be on the floor. I told her the owner can let his wife lay on the floor before my service dog will. I do not have to explain what my service dog does for me, but my service dog stays inside my jacket. I told them they can cancel my food order and I would do everything in my power to make sure motorcycle riders or people that love animals never return to this establishment. The owner of this restaurant seems to be anti-military police paramedic fire department or whatever and definitely violate the American disability act about service animals. I told the waitress that the owner could suck my blank The owner is a coward hides behind his camera and forces the sweet young girls to disrespect veterans and people with service animals avoid this place at all costs. The music is kinda loud and the selection isnt all that great- seems a bit outdated, but overall, this is the place to come on Sundays or anytime you want to bring friends and enjoy some good food. Honestly one of the worst meals I've ever had. Came in late night (after 10pm) for steak and crab legs. Seemed like a decent deal, but boy was I wrong. Crab was over done and rubbery. Ordered my steak medium rare and it was well done with zero pink left. They cover everything in this God awful spice to cover up the mediocre quality of the food. I ordered a salad as well which they didn't remember and brought out at the same time as my food defeating the entire point of a salad. Also one of my crab legs was actually green in the inside... gross. Service was fine, but we won't be back. I had zero desire to explain that the food was not good, I just won't return. The waitress stopped by right away and took drink orders. Their margaritas are large and strong. We started with the Big Combo Appetizer plate. It had basically everything; wings, chicken strips, jalapeno poppers, mac & cheese bites, onion rings, and chips and dip. It also came with a nice selection of sauces. This thing was big and tasty. Fries are an additional $5. Burger was really big - neither of us could finish our burger. Tasted absolutely amazing! We were stuffed. All the tables around us were enjoying the same special. They have a $40 bonus where if you sign up your phone number so they can text you specials, they take $20 off your bill on the spot, so our meals was covered.
