Everything in this review is based on my own experience, conversations I personally participated in, invoices, and photographs of the vehicle. I am describing what happened to me and what was physically found on my car. I absolutely do not recommend Alta Mere Auto Care based on my experience with my 2017 Ford Fusion Sport. I originally brought the car in for catalytic converter replacement. After the replacement, it developed new check-engine codes that were not present before. I returned more than six times trying to get the issue corrected. During those visits, multiple damaged or disconnected components were found. I was then told that replacing a $475 turbo diverter valve would fix the problem. I authorized it, but the same engine codes remained. After taking the car to another mechanic, we documented additional issues: broken hoses and clamps, an unplugged turbo-intake connection, pinched wiring near the vacuum-control system, and a molded plastic intake connection that had been broken and JB welded back together instead of properly replaced. That 'repair' has now completely failed. I was never told that component had been broken or repaired this way. I am including photos. Separately, I was charged approximately $1,800 for an RDU/rear differential part even though I went to the shop in person and cancelled the repair before installation. I was then going to be charged a restocking fee, so I ended up purchasing the part from them. My current mechanic and I later went to the shop in person to show the owner what had been found. When asked about fixing the parts that had been broken, we were told: "Oh, it'll be on us, of course." After my mechanic posted a review detailing the damaged and disconnected components he personally found on my car, along with how Bradley handled being confronted about those findings, Bradley Osborne called me and banned me from the shop. During that call, he began saying he would've fixed my RDU for free and even replaced the turbo if it turned out to be bad. None of that was offered when I was standing there in person asking them to make things right. Bringing up everything he "would've" done only while banning me came across as backpedaling, not a genuine attempt to resolve the situation. Being banned after being told the damaged parts would be "on us" felt to me like a way to avoid dealing with the problems rather than resolving them. From one serviceman to another, I am disappointed in the lack of integrity and accountability I experienced from Bradley Osborne and this shop. My issue is not simply one incorrect diagnosis. It is months of return visits, money spent on repairs that did not solve the problem, damaged and disconnected components discovered afterward, and the way the situation was handled once another mechanic documented the condition of the vehicle. I cannot recommend this shop. Took my car in for freon. They said I needed a valve replaced, as that was what was leaking, so I did. $500. THEN, after messing around some more, they told me I needed a new air compressor and that would be $700 more. Why they didn't know that at first, I don't know...I felt like it was a load of bull that they somehow "didn't know". I chose to leave & buy a compressor online for much less and my mechanic friend will be doing the work, also for far less. When my friend wanted to look into the engine, the latch that pops the hood was soft and wouldn't work. He spent 45 minutes using a wrench to loosen the nuts that hold the latch on only to find they'd attached some sort of heavy test string to the latch to pull on it to open. It was inside the engine so we never saw it AND...the business never told me they either broke the latch or it happened at their garage. Not a single word. Everyone there was certainly nice to me but I disapprove of these business practices and I think it's shady. read more

I took my van into this shop due to fluid being on my driveway. They told me it was the oil cooler that needed replaced and charged me $1224.15 which was almost $400 more than other shops in the city. But because they pressed the urgency, I didn't call around, I chose to trust them. Within 5 miles from the shop my check engine light came on so I turned back around and they told me it showed the knock sensor code but manager cleared it and sent me on my way saying if it came back on to bring it back. It came on a couple of hours later, but they were closed. So my husband went with me the next morning to take it back and they refused to check the work they had done unless we authorized in advance for them to replace what they feel necessary, which we were unwilling to do as this occurred immediately after THEIR repair AND my bank account shows they changed my charge from the 1224.15 I authorized, paid, and have a receipt for, to $1263.93!! The next day we took it to a more reputable shop who confirmed that the mechanics who replaced my oil cooler "SMASHED THE KNOCK SENSOR HARNESS DURING THE REPLACEMENT"!!!! We had to pay another $445.00 to fix what Alta Mere Auto damaged and haven't seen a cent returned to us for the unauthorized price change nor the amount we had to pay another shop to fix what their mechanics messed up after I reported the issue to the owners assistant. Never ever trust these people, they will price gouge you, deceit you, damage other parts to get more money from you, and destroy any trust you hold towards mechanics. read more

I spent over $1000 to get my car fixed for them to tell me my check engine light didn't turn off after their repairs and now I need a new engine so I was still trying to work with them and ask minus the money I already paid yall and the owner is going to tell me he can only put half I paid towards a new engine that will cost me an additional 3K. I told him if I knew it was going to be a $5000 job in the beginning I wouldn't have did anything with a paid off Mercedes that was 12 years old. Do not bring your car here. They will not fix it right and you will spend your money for nothing if I could give zero stars I would and I work at Lockheed Martin across the street. Alta Mere gave me the best vs worst possible scenarios and they are very honest and willing to show you everything. **PLEASE READ** Soo my wife hit a curb blew out the tire and ruined the shock drivers side. Brought my car in and paid $90 for a 100% inaccurate Diagnosis. Said it was my lower control arm and struts that need to be replaced, didn't even address the busted shock. So they call me with this inaccurate repair and gave me a quote of $1500 (without addressing the shock) Then the next words out of his mouth is but we have this great program (credit Card) that they tried to get me to sign up for. I declined and brought it to my regular mechanic he said all your car needs is a new shock drivers side and an alignment. He replaced the shock $200 and i took it to firestone for an alignment $100. Firestone said all it needs is an alignment which was 100% true and car runs perfect. So whatever you do DO NOT trust this mechanic shop!!! They will do repairs you absolutely don't need and try to get you to sign up for their credit card program and it makes me sick!! with the shock they were probably gona get me for $2000 with interest. It was a $300 repair confirmed by my mechanic and firestone. Sad thing is i saw a lot of ederly people in there throwing down that Credit Card and i am sure for unnecessary repairs. This shop is not working in the best interest of the customer and it feels like a scam for A Credit Card program!! Really wish I could give no stars , this place is a scam shop . I took my car for an AC problem 2000$ later my car is running terrible and I have an engine light on . Granted my car isn't new it's a 05 Buick but before I came to this place I had no issues other than the AC not blowing cold . Now I have to " give my car a little gas while starting it " yes this is what I was told to do ! I'm convinced they purposely cause damage so you have to go back . 2 days after they supposedly fixed my AC my car wouldn't even start . I called Ata mere about they said they could get it towed to the shop never said that tow would be at my expense this after I'd already paid 600 for the AC problem.. that tow turned into another 1000 $ long story longer the engine light is on for God only knows what but I won't take it back to them read more

I took my 2008 Infiniti G35 into this shop as he was referred from my son. After being burned with many mechanic shops due to being a woman, well it happened once again. Asked them to put brakes, and rotors on my car. Got a call that the catalytic convertors were going bad, and they needed to be changed as well. Just another tactic that shops etc use to make more money. It was suppose to be around $700 for brakes and rotors. Low and behold it was $3000 for the work they did. I had to get financing done, because I did not have that hanging around my house to pay them. I got my car home and guess what? Rotors were not done. Owner was out and work apparently doesn't get completed when he is out. So back to the shop it goes to get completed right like it should have been the 1st time around. Fast forward to today I now have a service engine soon light on due to them not changing the o2 sensors out when they changed the convertors. Now he wants me to bring it back after a 3rd time for him to look at it and charge me more to repair something that didn't get done right the 1st time. I am totally furious!!!! read more

This is the worst place ever!!! I went in for a new alternator. The only reason I chose this shop was because my regular mechanic was out of town. They replaced the alternator and stated that I needed a new battery. I purchased the battery also and when I went to pick up my car every single warning light was on!! When I asked them about this the girl up front said there was nothing they could do about it. When I spoke to the owner he told me that he doesn't know anything about cars but his mechanic told him that I needed a negative battery sensor and it would cost me another $100. I had already spent$1000.00 for the battery and alternator! I took the car to my regular mechanic a few days later and all my car needed was a new negative battery connector which was only $15.00. Please stay away from this place. They will destroy your car!!!! read more
