There are not many pastry store on Gleanoks blvd on Burbank city and this one of the good ones. They have variety of pasties, very colorful and tasty but sweet. We purchased variety of cheesecakes, birdmilk, caramel pastry. Cheesecakes are ok but not the best the rest was good but sweet. Busy store but staff were helpful and taking care of customers atthe time. Sittings are available on sidewalk.

2nd visit and really love this place. Today I got the vanillabean pastry so yummy. This place is way better than the other tik tok famous k town place. Prices $10 to $15. Today got parking in front. Plan to return to try even more. Mushroom still a favorite.

This bakery is addictive!! Once you go, you will definitely go back. Their mousse filled cakes are divine. I've tried the green apple and lemon. Also I've had their Dubai cake. Not as chocolaty as the bar but still good! Service is very helpful. They want to get your order to keep the lines moving. I admit, it's easy to just look with amazement at the pastry counter LOL. The inside has a few tables alongside the windows but everyone mostly sits outside or get things to go. Next time we go, will definitely try their pizza.

I went here today, and I was really surprised how large this place was. It wasn't busy at all and the service was outstanding. The mushroom one was delicious for the fruit dessert but it was $15. I can see why because the stem was really hard and it had really good texture throughout. I seriously, wanna go back and try all the flavors. They are also beautiful. I also got a steak sandwich which was about a 20 minute wait to make but really delicious. It had like an avocado cream sauce throughout and was toasted. There was plenty of street parking. As mentioned before there is a 3% charge to use your credit card.

I think I'm missing something here. I know they're known for their fruit desserts, but it's not new to me so I passed up on those. I had a slice of their honey cake and a pistachio croissant and I wasn't impressed. The honey cake was okay; it's on the drier side. The croissant had pistachio filling and pistachio chocolate coating which was nice. The big disappointment was the croissant itself. It wasn't flakey and didn't taste fresh at all. Such a disappointment.

10 stars if I could! Customer service is BEYOND stellar with great Recommendation over the phone to getting my gems. The vanilla mousse is unreal. The wings, exceptional. Here's the kicker, my first batch was more charred than I like and David recommended saucing it. I wasn't a fan of the sauce (purely my taste not liking vinegar much) but when I still wasn't satisfied, he made me a brand new less charred version and wow, so kind to give me a perfect first impression. You HAVE to treat yourself. Worth the drive.

Our first time here it's been on our list and finally had a chance to go. I visited this location again recently. This is the closest bakery to where I live so I usually go there to pick up pastries. They have really good pastries and they taste good. Unfortunately, most of the items don't have prices so it gets confusing. I had to ask the employees several times for the price of the items. For service, some employees are nice and friendly. They take the time to help customers and don't make you feel rushed. But some employees are not that friendly. This bakery can get really busy on the weekends. There are long lines for ordering. This bakery has several tables outside which makes it convenient to order coffee and pastries and enjoy them by sitting outside. For parking, this bakery has a parking lot in the back and also street parking is available too. This location prefers cash transactions and cash is welcomed. They are charging 3% credit card fee for all transactions.

My family and I flew in early to Burbank airport. It was too early to check into our hotel so we decided to stop in for a quick bite to eat and try one of their viral, fruit mousse pastries. The bakery is less than 10 minute drive from the Burbank airport. It was not too busy on a Saturday around 11 AM, but there was a study flow of customers coming in to pick up their cake orders or to pick up a few pastry items. The employees were nice and knowledgeable about the bakery's offerings. There are a few small tables with chairs to sit at to quickly enjoy your delicious bakery items, pizza, sandwich, coffee and/or other offerings. We ordered the popular Armenian Pizza for lunch, the viral fruit mousse pastry (mango which is most popular) and a hazelnut eclair. Everything we had was delicious and highly recommended. Their many real-looking fruit mousse pastries are $10 each, but well worth the cost as they are delicious, not too sweet and very satisfying to cut/bite into. If you are in the Burbank area and want to try something different or some more familiar food items, you should definitely come to Alta Dena Bakery.

Love this bakery! We heard about this bakery through social media, so we decided that we had to give them a try. I ordered several types of pastries and a breakfast sandwich. I'm not super familiar with Armenian food, so I didn't know what to expect. I mistakenly assumed it would be like most bakery's. My group and I had mixed reviews on the pastries. Some were really yummy, and some were a little dry. With coffee, I'm sure they would have been great. Overall, I still really really liked the selections that I enjoyed. For my sandwich, we were very thrown off by whatever flavoring/seasoning they put in the eggs. We were not a fan. Like I said, not used to Armenian food, so maybe this was a thing, and our taste buds aren't adjusted. But... The rest of the sandwich was great. Well made, and very tasty bread! Minus the flavoring in the eggs, it was a perfect sandwich. The stag was helpful, but not the most hospitable. They handled business though, so no worries there. Overall, a good visit. If I were nearby, I'd visit again.

I always pass by and can't believe I've never been here before. Altadena was amazing. The food was delicious and they had such a huge selection of pastries and desserts. There were so many croissants, cakes, and baked goods to choose from. We ended up getting a Nutella croissant and a pistachio croissant, plus the steak and chicken sandwich. Everything was fresh and really flavorful. We also ordered the hazelnut coffee which paired perfectly with the pastries. Before leaving I made sure to grab two tiramisus to go and they were just as good as everything else. This place is seriously delicious, and honestly that's an understatement. I definitely see myself coming back again. I originally saw their pizza and Cajun fries advertised on Instagram, so I'll definitely be coming back to try those next.

Tik Tok viral videos convinced me to try their fruit mousse. Little did I know that they are $10 each! They are real looking fruits with a thin chocolate shell filled with light mousse and pieces of fruit filling. Spent a good $70!!! But I would come back to buy one or two. Also, it's a bit messy to eat, so make sure you have a lot of napkins. Mango 7/10 Blueberry 6/10 Mushroom 9/10 Raspberry 7/10 Pina Colada 8/10 Tip: For the best experience, I recommended to enjoy these immediately, as their soft, structure makes them delicate to transport. Eat it there unless you live 5 minutes away as the shell isn't as crispy if you wait 30 minutes to eat them, the shell is no longer as hard. Definitely put it in the freezer if you buy several.

Waited for a second visit to write this review. We tried the Pastrami and Italian sandwiches on first visit and they were killer!! Tonight we enjoyed the pastrami with melted cheese, onions, bell peppers and mushrooms! WOW! The wood fired pizzas looked amazing and on our to try list. The young chef is very charming and really excited about his food and fresh ingredients. He makes his own pizza dough daily. Sandwiches are served on fresh baked bread from the bakery side. The pastries and cakes they sell are beyond good. This is truly a family own and run small business and a fresh air from the other two Burbank shops with twin messy sandwiches and no comparison! Our family will definitely be regulars here! read more

Because I love this place so much I had Art do both my bridal shower and wedding cake. I absolutely loved everything about both. He is amazing and his cakes are delicious. Kinda came here by accident. I ordered a cheese steak and got the chicken kabob because I don't think the woman taking our order was paying attention. I'm actually not mad about it though, the kabob was really f'n good. Their bread is definitely the highlight of the sandwich. Really fresh and great texture. Absolutely love Alta Dena express. Its a great local bakery/pizzeria for everyone in the Burbank area. I started loving this place first for their service. Everyone is always smiling and very sincere while serving you. The ladies behind the bakery side are kind and happy individuals and I sense it every time i walk in. Always getting a hello and a smile. The second reason I love this place is their fresh deserts. I started to love their milk cake/tres leches - so moist and delicious, and ALWAYS fresh. I wish they made this in a half size. I also love their eclairs. These little guys are to die for. They have a slightly caramel-y tasting whipped cream. Its light, its airy, its fresh, and always consistent with the taste. And lastly, my all time favorite thing here is their pizza. Man is it good. David manages the pizza section and is always so charming and goes above and beyond for the customer. He is very generous with ranch, they never charge for it, the taste is always the same. consistency is key. Their pizzas are like no other ive tried. The crust is always crispy and crunchy, while the toppings are always generously loaded and never greasy. read more

I think this will become my new regular spot for lunch. The atmosphere is inviting and there is plenty of street parking out front. The employees go the extra mile to make sure the customer has a great experience. The young man who makes the pizzas provided me with excellent customer service. The food is amazing and very fresh. I personally ordered the chicken salad with no artichoke and it was bomb. Next time I will try one of their kabob plates! read more

Good food, good dessert, awesome people, what could you ask more. Even the price is perfect for every items. 12$ for a delicious, fresh, mouth watering pizza; that's a dollar a slice. You can't find that anywhere else. And the kebabs are grilled on point, perfectly seasoned. The desserts are perfectly balance between sweetness and fluffy ness. Wow what a great surprise!! I am very impressed with the bakery, I bought a beautiful fruit tart and went back later to try the pizza. I consider myself a pizza expert as I have been making and eating it my whole life. My husband and I ordered a Hawaiian pizza, David made it with love and passion, just the way we like crisp yet tender. I am not lying this was a fantastic pizza, I will go back again without hesitation. Alta Dena pizza cafe is a great little gem in Burbank on Glenoaks near keystone, make sure you try it. read more

I went in for a quick pastry, and discovered the person serving me wasn't wearing a mask. After I told her what I wanted, she asked, "Do you want anything else?" I replied, "yes, I'd like you to wear your mask before serving me." She put on her mask, but if she could have shot needles out of her eyes at me, I think she would have. Unfortunately, the slice of cheesecake wasn't fresh, the ends were dried out, clearly being in the case too long. The various pastries looked great, but there's no way to know how long they've been on display. There are a lot of bakeries up and down Glenoaks, there's no need to patronize this one. I certainly won't return. read more

The staff is really nice at the deli which I why I gave 3 stars. I ordered the chicken sandwich which is overpriced for what you get(see photo) The chicken had no flavor. Be careful because the prices are not written so as the nice man at the deli was charging me some other man(possible owner or manager) said my vitamin water cost 2.25. Even after they had already said 1.25 out loud in front of him. He said no it's 2.25. Maybe someone else can ask while their and comment to see if they are consistent with pricing. Still 2.25 for a vitamin water...no thank you. That man ruined my mood about being here. read more

Order the pastrami sandwich, beef and chicken kabob sandwiches to go. It was a quick process for the to go order and only took about 20 minutes for a pick up order. They were out of baguette bread and made it with their house barbari bread and it was delicious. Next time I will ask for the house bread instead of the baguette for sure. Great customer service and yummy food. Also fairly prices. All three sandwiches came with a bag of chips. read more

As soon as I walked in to this place, I could tell the pizza and bakery items were top notch. The service was immediate, and the atmosphere reminded me of a New Jersey Diner, which is hard to emulate in California. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who likes Pizza and little pastries. It's so hard to find good pizza in LA, but I've finally found it. Oh, and the prices are VERY good. The desserts seem super original, and it's ran by the type of people you want to support because they actually care about good service read more

They have the cutest desserts and I especially love their eclairs, creme brûlée, and their breads. Now for their sandwiches we originally went in for an Italian sub because we loved their bake bread and said why not try it (plus it's smells amazing when you walk in). So the guy that works there was like you should get the pastrami sandwich "it'll be the best pastrami sandwich you've ever had!" And in my head I was like duck no I hate pastrami. But my partner gave me the look like I'm getting it. So we did and I kid you not it was the best pastrami sandwich I've ever had. I will be going back for it it definitely lived up to his hipe and he prepped everything fresh for us which was really nice. Definitely a must go to in Burbank. read more

Great customer service..even better food! Can't go wrong with the sandwiches or pizza. It's become my favorite pizza spot around. Their flavors are always on point. They do the little stuff like greet you nicely, throw in free cans of sodas or bags of chips, that leaves such a nice impression on people. All of their workers have been nice! Definitely recommend and definitely will be back, probably soon! Favorite pizza: Armenian pizza & Hawaiian pizza (was never a fan of Hawaiian pizza until I had theirs which has ham & bacon on it! Love Alta Dena bakery!! The staff here is wonderful and so friendly. Their pastries are to die for and they have a fridge full of beverages, some cheese, and yogurt. They also sell candy and some random pantry items. They now make pizza and also serve sandwiches. I bought my sister a mortadella sandwich today with a bag of chips and it was about $7 for a big sandwich with all the fixin's! They also sell coffee and other beverages which I have yet to try. Clean and spacious. Glad this is right by me! read more

Just moved to the area and my family is completley obsessed with this place. This is alot coming from a family who owned and operated a sandwitch shop of their own many years ago (theyre very critical). From their pastries to their pizza and sandwitches, they've tried and approved them all. I visited today for the first time during lunch and I could tell why they love this place. The food is amazing! They have a bunch of options to choose from. If youre a vegetarian I highly recommend the veggie sandwich with cheese and if youre a carnivore then take your pick. The staff is very attentive as well which is always important for me. Definatley worth a visit! read more

Wanted to really like this sandwich for a multitude of reasons: - a block from my house - prepped the tuna straight from a can BUT.... the worst bread. I took it to go so I really couldn't say anything. The bread seems like it was slightly over baked and then left out for a few days. Almost completely dry. I'd rather they tell me that they have to give a discount or not make the sandwich rather than make it at all. The ingredients are great. Service was a little slow. Should I go back? read more

It should sink in. So what happened at RoP? Well, maybe they need a meeting of Congress to put in a bill for less sugar and a denser, chewier graham cracker crust. The density of the custard was perfect, but the taste was... well, it was kinda bland. Kinda boring. I tasted the condensed milk over the lime which was just barely there. The crust shattered if I put my fork into it and... Well, look: I ordered two slices for delivery after a terrible experience at House of Pies which was basically horror pie on a plate. RoP apparently won awards for their pie, blah blah blah... it was fine. But the real kicker is that it was over $20 for two slices and it was... meh. It should be better than that. I'm still on my hunt for the best key lime pie since my relocation to LA, so if you have a suggestion, please let me know! I will literally go anywhere in the LA area for it. To summarize: 1. We sat inside and I ordered a simple brunch with just 2 strips of bacon, 2 over medium eggs and waffles. The server asked me if I wanted a full size waffle or half size and as I was watching the other people order I noticed people were not hesitating to order the full size option and I thought dang, they are not gonna finish that, so I opted for the half serving which was 2 pretty good sized waffles. Once I took my 1st bite, I suddenly regretted only ordering the half size option. I instantly knew right then and there why people ordered the full size. A waffle is a waffle right guys? Wrong... not this waffle. This waffle will make you feel love inside that you didn't know existed. As we were walking inside the restaurant I actually was picking a fight with my husband for no apparent reason... possibly because I was hungry but after I took my first bite, I forgot about the argument haha. I told him he needs to bring me here ALL THE TIME. I am yet to come back a 2nd time and I already anticipate loving it the 2nd time. We drove by one day hoping to have a 2nd try here and it was really busy so we didn't make the stop. I look forward to coming back and the next time around I will not hesitate to order a full size waffle order. The staff was really nice, our server was this young lady who was waiting on all the tables inside and some outside was on top of it. She was really pleasant and the gentlemen in the back were also nice. The restaurant was clean when we visited and the service was really quick. We parked down the street, the walk wasn't too bad, we didn't know where to park but I read some of the other reviews and I guess there's a parking in the back somewhere. If you live nearby and you haven't visited, do yourself a favor and try them out. If you travel from far away like me and you're looking for a breakfast or brunch spot with delicious waffles, this is the spot.
