I want to start by saying that I truly enjoyed using Alto Pharmacy as my prescription delivery service up until the end of last month. I was already frustrated that they stopped carrying my ADHD medication over a year ago, but I managed by switching to another pharmacy. However, last month, they unexpectedly stopped filling any controlled substances (CII medications) without any prior notice. I only discovered this when my doctor tried to send in the remainder of a prescription they couldn't completely fill earlier in the month. As a result, I had to navigate the challenging process of obtaining my pain medication from another pharmacy. Unfortunately, they treated me as if I were a drug seeker and questioned why I was changing pharmacies in the middle of the month. Over the past year, it seems they have taken on too many patients, and their service has significantly declined. I used to receive quick responses through their messaging system, but now it's nearly impossible to get a same-day response. Instead, I have to call, and when I do, I'm not speaking to a pharmacist at the store, leaving me uncertain if the information I receive is accurate. The concept of this medication delivery service is excellent, offering exceptional convenience by eliminating the need to visit a pharmacy and wait for prescriptions. However, the company's execution falls short, primarily in customer service and communication. Effective communication is crucial, especially when dealing with patients relying on daily medication. Unfortunately, the current customer service and communication processes leave much to be desired. There have been instances where crucial medications were out of stock, but patients were only informed on the day they were supposed to receive them, giving no time to explore alternative options. Attempts to address these issues with supervisors yielded temporary fixes, and subsequent attempts to reach out during out-of-stock situations were met with silence and lack of response. Waiting for hours on hold at the call center only to be told they have no information on when the medication will be restocked is highly unacceptable and unprofessional. In a line of work where people's well-being and lives are at stake, this level of service is deeply concerning. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed this service for sometime and now I have had the absolute most nightmare of a time getting insulin that I needed during my pregnancy my doctor spoke to two people I spoke to three people they promised one thing and a delivery time and didn't deliver and couldn't rectify it even though I waited 30 minutes on the phone to talk to two different people. I'm so disappointed this is really detrimental to a scary health situation. They need to be on top of it. They also don't have clearly enough people working for their customer service. I'm transferring everything out of this pharmacy. Somebody always says something on the phone that they promise and then the app automate and says something different and then they can't overwrite it with a real person. Absolutely absolutely frustrating. I am not anybody that ever gives a battery review honestly I gave this place so many chances and I am so disappointed that nobody in the end could help me. read more

App is useful but buggy. Freezes or crashes often. Its convenient but needs a lot of work to function like its supposed to. Whenever I message them asking a question it takes 3-4 days to get a response. If I call the customer service number I am on hold for at least 40 minutes. Luckily everyone I've spoken to when I've called has been kind, patient, and knowledgeable (hence the 2 stars instead of 1). A lot of times I find myself getting frustrated with Alto due to pricing issues and their lack of response on my messages. Most of the time, the pricing issues are stemmed from big pharma insurance price gauges but IF alto answered their messages or answered their customer service line quicker, my frustrations wouldn't be as focused on them. P.S. most of your delivery people don't place the medications in the designated "Safe Spot." they just throw it at the front door. read more

I just had the BEST pharmacy experience of my life. I'm not joking! My doctor ordered a medication and I was contacted by Alto the very same day via text and phone call. I was able to easily download their free app and conform my account. My medication was already waiting for my approval. I was able to pay through the app and set up shipping. My medication was SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than expected and was delivered THE SAME DAY and shipping was FREE. I was alerted via text when my medication had left the pharmacy and again when the driver was about 30 minutes away. I was able to text the driver to give them special delivery directions and they were polite and ON TIME. I scheduled delivery between 12-3 and they arrived around 1:30. I couldn't be happier! I will definitely use this pharmacy in the future! read more

Alto is amazing. I was reluctant to try a pharmacy with home delivery, because after all l need my prescriptions. My doctor assured me that Alto was the most reliable pharmacy she has worked with and they know how to deal with the insurance companies. As soon as I left the office they texted me about my details and my prescription was in my hands by that evening. Their app is easy to use and you are able to track the driver in real time. They keep you updated and informed. I highly recommend them without doubt. read more

We placed an order and paid. We ended up canceling the prescription and trying to get a refund. We have been told 5-7 days and it has been 10 days. They do not offer a way to contact their billing department on online test messaging after you login. They are not responsive when you call and can take over an hour on hold for someone to answer. We will never use Alto Pharmacy and when we get our refund we will be deleting our account. read more

I was diagnosed with diabetes early last year when COVID messed up the whole world. I was started on the medication prescribed but I needed a much better more daily/hourly blood count. I've learned to eat according to my blood sugar. Alto and the program I am with has allowed my months costs to go down significantly. I have been a customer of Alto Pharmacy for several months and have always received better than GREAT service. They have developed a very reliable delivery system which keeps one apprised of the date, date and time of delivery. It runs on "real time" so one is continually kept abreast of just when a deliver will be made. Also, I have found the drivers to be very professional and courteous.....and right on time. When I say this pharmacy is second to none I MEAN IT!! I never understood the whole pharmacy culture thing until I needed some prescriptions. They communicated so clearly and flawlessly through texting. Answered the phones immediately when I did call and answered all my questions. The first time I tried Alto, didn't even know such a service from my doctor existed, I usually go to CVS, and each time there is a long line and always an issue when trying to pick up my prescription. So I asked my doctor about home delivery, they recommended Alto, and I am hooked on it, so much better and easier. Alta Pharmacy has great Communications they check with my doctor's office when I was expecting a prescription they process prescriptions extremely fast and their delivery is always on time. I get to choose my delivery window and I get texts on when to expect it and it arrives on time. The pricing is lower than other pharmacies I've had to use.
