My wife and I just ordered a whole philly cheesesteak. We concluded that this was among the worst cheesesteaks ever served. I gave it two stars only for the bread and the friendliness of the staff. The meat was chopped and each of us found a piece of grizzle inside. The mozzarella cheese was laid across the outer edge of the bread and although it looked nice, we expect the cheese to be intermingled within the steak pieces or laid across the steak. Lastly, the peppers and onions were chopped up into 1/2 inch cubes like it was to be served to infants. Not good. read more

Just had the food from here a couple of days ago and we were pleasantly surprised.. Everything was really delicious. Regular pie,Upside down squares,Garlic Knots and wings. We tried their bruschetta pizza and the Tuscany pizza. Both were excellent. Amano's is our new go to pizzeria.

I tried Amanos last week and it didn't dissapoint! I ordered the Vodka ziti pizza and it was outstanding. This place is very expensive but I dont mind paying more for great food. I would have given 5 stars but they have a glitch in their online ordering system. I ordered online and stated in the notes section that I would be there for about 1.5 hours. When I went to pick up the pizza I was told that they are unable to read any notes that a customer puts in when they order online. I was a bit disappointed because my pizza had been out of the over for about an hour and wasnt piping hot. However that wont stop me from ordering from here again. read more

I like trying new places and giving them a shot, so I've tried this place twice based on positive reviews. First time, the pizza was good (vodka sauce pizza was excellent), but was 20 minutes delayed past the 45 minute expected time. The second time was the perfect storm of bad experience: pizza was bad (crust was like stale toast, no chew whatsoever), was 45 minutes delayed past the 30 minute expected time, and the guy in the shop was nasty and unfriendly. I ordered the pizza at 7PM, and it should have been done about 730. I came in at 730 and was told it was just put in the oven, so it'll be another 15-20 minutes. So, I came in 20 minutes later, and was told it wasn't in the oven yet, so it'll be another 15-20 minutes. The main guy yelled at me for using the Slice app, which if he doesn't like it he shouldn't use it. Honestly, there are at least two very nearby NY import pizza places (Denino's and Round Pie) that are better in every aspect, so that's where I'll continue to take my business. I tried more than once, so I can't chalk it up to one bad night/experience. Just to clarify the lie the owner makes, I definitely did not try or even think to jump the line. I came in at the time I was told it would be ready, waited to give my name since it was busy and there were a few people waiting, and told to come back in 15-20 minutes. So, I came back in 20 minutes and was then told it would be ready in 15-20 more minutes. Pretty simple. I'm actually trying to help your family business by providing feedback so changes could be made to make a better experience and people keep coming back. I was very polite to all of your staff except you, and I certainly won't tolerate being yelled at for you screwing up. How about when it wasn't ready on time you tell me "sorry for the delay, but we're jammed tonight and running behind." That would have been completely fine and understandable for a new business, but instead I got yelled at for using the Slice app instead of "calling like your usual customers." What? This is amongst the worst Italian food i've ever eaten and that's not being dramatic. I understand it's a new location and trying to operate during a global pandemic but honestly neither of those factors should affect both the quality and preparation of the food. Let's start with the appetizer, a fairly common Italian cuisine staple, fried calamari. Simply put, it was inedible. The breading was saturated and soggy while the actual calamari was tough and rubbery which tells me it was not freshly prepared but "prepped" in advance and microwaved which I could accomplish buying frozen calamari in the supermarket. The accompanying lemons had the consistency of soggy raisins and everything was drenched in oil. Totally unacceptable appetizer. Moving on to the pizza, we tried the "tuscan," but this was anything but inspired by Tuscany. The dough was raw and soggy to the point that the pizza could not be held. The bruschetta tomatoes were entirely unripened, the chicken was store bought pre-cooked garbage devoid of taste, not even a hint of salt, there were whole pieces of garlic which was unappetizing and last but not least, the cheese was bland and there was entirely too much of it. This was one of the most disappointing meals i've ever had, my wife and I had one slice each and that was too much. I'm sorry, i'm all about supporting local restaurants but they have to put in some effort to actually make good food. read more
