Warning: Poor Service and Overcharging at Kristen Tarbet and Amara Esthetic Clinic I feel compelled to share my frustrating experience with Kristen Tarbet and Amara Medical Aesthetics in the hope of saving others from the trouble and financial loss I've endured. Despite being a loyal customer for over 6 years and spending over $25,000 on esthetic services, I found their services to be inflated in price and underwhelming in quality. The primary reason for writing this review is the consistent overcharging and the clinic's unwillingness to rectify their mistakes without demanding additional payment. When I expressed my concerns to the service provider, I was informed by the office manager, Stefenie, that fixing the mistake would only be allowed if I paid for it. This lack of accountability and customer care left me deeply dissatisfied. In an attempt to address this issue, I requested to contact Dr. Kristen Tarbet directly via email. However, the staff insisted that I first send the email to them, hindering direct communication with the doctor. This further exemplified their disregard for resolving customer concerns. What added insult to injury was their prepayment policy. They required me to pay for a service in advance, but once they had my money, they completely stopped acknowledging me as a valued customer. They made me feel like a nuisance, ignoring my calls and ceasing to answer their phone altogether. At this point, I no longer wish to set foot in their establishment. All I desire is a fair resolution to this matter, but it seems they are more interested in taking customers' money than providing satisfactory service. In summary, I strongly advise against seeking services from Kristen Tarbet and Amara Medical Aesthetics. Their poor customer service, overcharging practices, and lack of accountability have left me deeply disappointed. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration by looking for alternatives elsewhere. read more

I have been a patient of Dr Kristin Tarbet for eight months for medical reconstruction of my lower eyelid. She is a joy to work with, extremely professional, very experienced, and unusually warm and caring with patients. My surgery went well with excellent results, and I am extremely pleased with the quality of service I received both from Dr. Tarbet, who is double board certified and has been an oculofacial specialist for many years and from her great staff members. Billy, Terry and the rest of her team made me feel comfortable, very informed, and important as a patient. In addition to the medical plastic surgery I received from Dr. Tarbet, I also received aesthetic services from the cosmetic side of Dr. Tarbet's practice from the aesthetician Natalia, an extremely gifted and also very experienced provider, after becoming educated about the cosmetic options that were available, which are comprehensive in Dr.Tarbet's practice. I opted for Morpheus Eight laser services and other non invasive services to provide me with tightened facial skin, a nice lift, and a much improved skin texture. Natalia is fantastic, and I felt completely comfortable and safe in her care. My experience with both the medical reconstructive services I received and the cosmetic services I received was outstanding. It is a busy practice and sometimes you have to wait a bit for an appointment, but it is totally worth it and the front office staff made a real effort to get me in quickly. I just can't say enough about how fortunate I feel to have been referred to Dr Tarbet and her team and plan to continue to work with them. I highly recommend this practice. read more

I would recommend Amara Medical Aesthetics to anyone concerned about keeping their skin as healthy as possible and looking its best. Eve Stern, the aesthetician I have worked with, has been especially helpful in this capacity. She recently administered IPL treatments to both my face and my hands. My hands were covered with large brown spots; my face not as bad. I was anxious about the look immediately after the treatment. However, just as Eve promised, within a couple weeks my skin looked completely different. I am especially amazed at my hands - they look much younger! I consider Eve my go-to person for skin care taking. She has administered various other treatments, from micro needling to manual lymphatic drainage to facials. She does a wonderful job and is very knowledgable, kind and caring. I also highly recommend Dr. Kristin Tarbet. She is an excellent surgeon and has been extremely helpful in recommending and administering various other treatments, including fillers. She has a good eye as to what and how much filler is needed where. I am very pleased with the results of her work and would recommend her services to anyone looking to combat the effects of aging. I would highly recommend Amara Medical Aesthetics to anyone who wants to combat the signs of aging. For over 15 years I have been having Boxtox and Xeomin injections given by Dr. Kristin Tarbet. I can't speak highly enough about Dr Tarbet and we laugh about getting older together however, my forehead looks better than it did when I was 30, (I am 58). About 6 months ago I started to see sagging in my face and neck. Instead of having surgery Dr Tarbet suggested I try Ultherapy. I also elected to try filler injections for the first time. The results have been amazing. Eve Stern and Maggie have performed these recent treatments and are not only very knowledgeable, but gentle and caring. Post treatment support by both of these exceptional ladies has been very helpful. A few days ago, Eve gave me Manual Lymphatic Draining to improve some areas under my eyes that were puffy and I cannot believe the difference. At least 80% better. I was a patient of Dr. Tarbet two years ago for eyelid surgery, upper and lower, and was thrilled with the outcome. The results were extremely natural with very minimal downtime and no complications. That, I believe, was due to the thorough pre-op consults, the post-op care and her obvious talent. My treatment was professional, caring, supportive and she was always avilable for any questions. Since then I have had the delightful opportunity to continue to see Eve Stern in Dr. Tarbet's office for ongoing skin care needs. Whether a wax, or derma-plane, or other procedures she is always gentle, kind, professional, extremely knowledgeable and willing to educate me on the pros and cons of different treatments. I have known Eve for 7 years and I would not go to anyone else for my skin care. She has worked with me to help me keep my skin looking its best. I am very pleased with my experience at Amara. At this time, I have finished the second IPL treatment of three total with Eve Stern. Previous to these treatments, my skin has had visible sun damage. A couple of years ago, I had 2 IPL treatments on some of the same areas that Eve has treated, but at another clinic. There is no comparison as to what Eve has been able to remove, compared to what was removed before at the other clinic, and there is still one more treatment to go! I was skeptical if anything could really show dramatic improvement to the large brown spots that had developed over my face and the lines from the sun over years of outdoor activity. Eve Stern administered a Photofacial and combined that with their medical grade skin products. The brown spots are GONE! People keep saying I look younger and relaxed. Dr. Tarbet is a fantastic eye surgeon and plastic surgeon. My upper eyelids were drooping and in order to see clearly I was constantly squinting. Problem corrected (along with lower lid and brow lift) and I look so much younger. Dr. Tarbet is a pro, knowledgeable, skilled and caring. She listens to what you want and what you are concerned aboutl She helped with a minor problem post surgery, showing her experience and skills as an opthamologist. After a consultation with Dr. Tarbett. I saw Dori for an Ultatherapy treatment. It has been two 1/2 months later and I am super pleased with the results so far. I had my neck, jawline and lip area treated. I went in the morning for my treatment and was able to go to work in the afternoon. A little makeup hid the mild redness I experienced from from my treatment. Dori says I will be even more impressed when I reach six months.
