I love Amatos but this location often disappoints. Bread consistently seems stale compared to other Amatos.

I moved to Northern California over a decade ago, but I can't find good pizza like you can get in…read morethe L/A area. Whenever I'm back home to visit, I like to get some good pizza and Pat's Pizza is probably my second favorite spot. (Sorry, Pat. George's is #1.) That said, Pat's still delivers a solid pie. It's classic, familiar, and hits the spot in a way only Maine pizza can. It's definitely a bit greasy, so get a few extra napkins and maybe don't wear anything you care too much about. But let's be honest, that grease is half the appeal. They offer hard cider, which is a nice touch if you want something cold and crisp to wash things down. And if you sit upstairs by the window, you'll get a surprisingly nice view of the Androscoggin River. Sure, the river's still a little polluted and the Lewiston side you're seeing is industrial-looking, but there's a weird charm to it. Kind of like the pizza. Overall, Pat's is a dependable, no-frills place that does what it does well. It's not trying to impress anyone from the big city, and that's exactly why it works.

I'm convinced most people are idiots at this point. Very few do any research, and have too high…read moreexpectations. I wouldn't go to a "house of pizza" expecting NY style. Most are Greek. I wouldn't go to Foundations expecting Neapolitan, since they explicitly sell Detroit. Nor would I go to Coletti's expecting bar pizza, since they sell only Neapolitan. I have only been to your establishment once, and it was directly due to your social media. I knew what I was getting. I met you, and am thoroughly impressed by your customer service. Neapolitan is my boo, and Coletti's Pizza Factory is my God. However, any time I am in the Windham area I will get pizzas from your establishment.

As I've moved up to Aroostook County, Maine, ive had some of the worst pizza ive ever had up there so on a recent trip back from CT, I searched out "New Haven style pizza in Maine" and "Fire & Ice Maine popped up so I tried it today! The service and people working there could not be nicer and when they knew I was from Connecticut, we really got into the nuances of what makes it great. I actually met the owner on my way out and he could not be nicer, telling me all of the places he's been to and worked at in the New Haven pizza area of Wooster Street. So I got in my car and opened up the box and was pleasantly surprised to finally see a pizza even look like New Haven. After biting into it, it was addicting! No flop, an "8" on the undercarriage and cooked right on top! The sauce was very close and it was crispy too! The only thing off and this is REALLY being picky was the chewiness but again, this is really being picky! Overall, a 4.8 on a 5 star scale and THEE BEST NEW HAVEN APIZZA is. MAINE to date! I would drive 2 hours to get this pie! Great service, great pizza and the price was reasonable too!
