Early morning strawberry picking in New Gloucester so naturally check Yelp for breakfast options, Kristi's Cafe yelp for the WIN! Hands down the Big Daddy was perfection. The best corned beef hash since my grandmothers. Seriously regret not getting a side to go! Perfect medium eggs, no white jiggle and soft yolks. Even toast was delicious (not homemade but next best). Husband got the meat omelet and also raved , staff were super friendly and efficient. Wish we lived closer- would love to try lunch! read more

3 stars for food, 5 for service and ambiance. My friend and I stopped by Kristi's Cafe on a Saturday at 11 and there was a short wait before a table opened up. The cafe itself is super cute - quaint and cozy with that classic diner feel. Service was friendly and prompt. I ordered the veggie omelet (sans tomato) with home fries and rye toast. The toast was the highlight - fluffy and well buttered. The omelet and the home fries were both under seasoned but portions were generous. I wish they had hot sauce for the home fries but at least there was ketchup. Overall not sure I'd be back but it was a decent lunch. read more

We are always happy when we go to Kristi's! If you're looking for some simple/traditional diner food, this is the way to go. When I say simple, I don't mean that they don't have specials or options for food items, I just mean that they keep the classics real and aren't trying to change things up too much. The staff at Kristi's is always friendly and the atmosphere is rather quaint. On one of our visits, a server gave my kids a little bowl of Froot Loops to snack on while they waited for their food-- it was really sweet! (Pun intended!) They have a couple tv, booths, tables, and a breakfast bar; All you need in my opinion. The prices at Kristi's are also some of the most reasonable in town-- I really don't think they can be beat! read more

The cafe is Amazing! A Mom and Pop dinner that always serves fresh and fast. The service is always quick and attentive to details and the service staff is always kind and help one another. The 'Big Lebowski' is my go-to on every visit! So Delicious! The cafe ambience is simple and clean. Breakfast with the Opa! It's seat yourself and there was surprisingly lots of tables to choose from. We sat and were immediately greeted by our waitress. She asked for drinks and gave us menus. The diner coffee was typical. It tasted a tiny bit burnt but I've had worse. I ordered the big Lebowski with blueberry pancakes. It was eggs, sausage, toasts, home Fries and pancakes. The pancakes were huge and there were two. They were fluffy, moist and delicious. The scrambled eggs were basic eggs but could have used a bit of salt. The home fries were good but I like mine a little darker. Our waitress was extremely kind and very pleasant and patient with my 80 year old grandfather who uses a walker so that was the most important thing. A lot of people on a Saturday wouldn't be but they were amazing. Five stars on service alone. read more

Honestly, I'm still eating the burrito but I'm eating it so fast I had to stop to breathe! I figured I would post a quick comment because it is ABSOLUTELY delicious. I live in auburn and I haven't really ventured out to try anything new since I moved here, and I truly just wanted a breakfast burrito (I'm from Arizona so I'm used to authentic Mexican food and breakfast burritos are at every restaurant). I went with the option of having the home fries on the side instead of in the burrito and I think that's the way to do it! The home fries aren't the most amazing thing in the world but they work well as an easy breakfast side. BUT SERIOUSLY GUYS, the steak is so perfect and tasty and the jalapeños have juuuust the right amount of kick. Also, the cheese is perfectly melted (as you can see) and the bacon is obviously not microwaved, it's thicker and crunchy yummm. It comes with salsa and sour cream and I did a little dippin in both and *muah* so good! I'll definitely be a regular here in no time. Thanks to the lovely girls who took care of my order it was ready pretty fast! Go do yourself a favor, get this dang burrito! It was only like 8 bucks!! read more

I was looking for a place to take my daughter to breakfast on a Monday, when many places are closed. We found a winner in Kristi's! It was pretty crowded, and there was no one there to greet us - we noticed the "seat yourself" sign, but most empty tables weren't cleared. We found one and waited a few minutes before the server noticed us. She apologized and explained that several large groups all came in at once. She promised to be right with us, and she was. Our server was friendly and attentive. My daughter went off menu (she thought) with blueberry French toast (later she noticed it on the sign outside), and I had a side of hash and one egg. Here's the skinny: Food was delicious. Service was good. Ambiance is homey and inviting. Place is popular, (ie) the Place was almost packed at 10 AM on a weekday. They close at 2PM and only serve breakfast and lunch. The portions to price ratio is a bit on the scant side. The corned beef hash is the best I've had, but for $9.00 I would have expected more than the 3/4 cup of it that I got. The portions will help you stick to your resolution to lose weight. They are fantastic with kids! I like this place. read more

First time. Went at 1 pm to avoid breakfast rush. Waitress friendly, attentive and masked. Owner on site...could hear her giving directions to staff. Cafe typical home town countryish atmosphere. Food came out in less than 7 minutes. Hot, fresh. Patty melt cooked as requested...fries hot and flaversome. Scramble underseasoned...but maybe intentional? Needed salt and pepper. A real disappointment. This was my third time at Kristi's Cafe. Each time, the food has been excellent, but the service has been horrendous. Today, I didn't even receive my food. I had been seated for over 45 minutes, having ordered just an omelette and a pancake. Our server had poured coffee and twice forgotten to bring the milk or creamer we suggested. And when the food finally came, my order was wrong. We sat for another 30 minutes while the others in my party are and had to leave before my food came because we had to make a tee time. My breakfast was a hot dog at the course. Wont be back, which is sad, because they have some of the best corned beef hash I've ever had. And I feel bad writing this review because the cools are so great. But the extremely slow ticket times and poor service ruined our meal (for those who got them) and there are just better places around. read more

Needs to have a better system for seating people. Several people were seated as head for us due to no one knowing who arrived first. Once seated the experience was much improved. You know exactly what you're getting, a good, simple breakfast for a very decent price. This is a basic diner, so I'm judging it on that level. And, at that level of expectation, they did everything right. It was spacious, well let, pleasant and clean. Service was happy and attentive. Everything was cooked exactly as ordered. The menu is limited - burgers, sandwiches and a couple of salads are the totality of the lunch menu, but breakfast is also served all day. The ingredients, and recipes, are straight up standard diner. And, they're doing it just fine. The menu (due to be replaced) had some odd pricing - $3.00 extra for bacon on a burger, but a BBQ bacon burger was only a $1.50 upcharge? The server was used to people rolling their eyes at that and ordering the BBQ bacon burger hold the BBQ sauce - and she recorded that order with a smile. Nothing else to say, really - we'll be happy to eat there again if we're in the area. read more

I wanted to like this place and I will give them another shot, but...we went on Father's Day for a late breakfast. We waited about 30 minutes for a table of five, which given the day, was understandable. Our server promptly greeted us and was all smiles, though she seemed pretty harried. We took our time ordering and were pretty much absorbed in conversation when we noticed that it had been over 30 minutes since we'd placed our order! After about 40 minutes, our food finally arrived - in stages. Three of the dishes were confused, with one person's omelette being placed with another person's toast, etc. To that, two of the omelettes were simply incorrect. Unfortunately, we had to discover that by actually biting into them. We had also ordered two servings of corned beef hash. One of them looked great. Mine was extremely dry and over-cooked. Both were very salty. From the time the first dish was served, it was a good five minutes till the last person was served. In my opinion, that's simply unacceptable. Our server was kind, and apologized profusely. An accommodation on the bill should absolutely have been offered, though none was - and I was not going to make the request. I paid the bill, which with a 20% tip, came out to $93. Most of the food was fair to okay. Our server did keep returning and kept our water glasses and coffee cups full, which was very much appreciated. read more

2nd try at Kristi's. OK, I guess, but I'd rather do breakfast somewhere else. I ordered 3 eggs "over well", a side of hash, English on the grill and coffee. Hash is REALLY yummy.; I just wish there was a bunch more of it. Eggs came "over-easy-plus-a-little": way too runny to pass for "over well". Service was quite quick and appropriately friendly. Tab with tax was 14$ or so. My belly was not very full for that price. There are breakfast places that I truely love. This isn't one of them. read more

Decided to bring my folks here when they came up the visit. My dad and I both got omelettes and my mom got scrambled eggs and toast. Me and mom are not that picky but dad is so the fact that they had orange marmalade was a big plus(he heard it and immediately perked up), they got our cheeses switched but they fixed it as soon as they saw the mistake and everything was on point and generously portioned! They are a smaller place and only have 2-3 waitresses so if you don't have much time maybe go somewhere else, but if it's a lazy day it's the perfect place for breakfast/brunch!! Now we'll go home and happily laze about on the couch with our food babies. read more

The service was extremely disorganized where customers who came in well after us got their food before we even got menus.
