Channada was a sweetie. She did my underarms and Brazilian in less than 30 mins. She was efficient and sanitary. There is no parking unless you find street parking or park in the Safeway garage but that's $8 unless you get validated by Safeway. The only issue was that she uses strip wax and not the hard wax. I personally prefer hard wax and because of that I will not be returning to her, also for what I paid, the prices were more in line with hard wax prices. If strip wax is your preference, she's great and has a loyalty system that rewards repeat clients. read more

I can't believe I forgot to post this review! I went to see Channada during late summer because I needed a last minute wax before a vacation and my normal waxing studio wax entirely booked. Visiting a new aesthetician is always a little nerve wracking (especially for someone who's had VERY bad experiences with waxing in the past), but Channada was great! I've been getting waxes consistently since 2006, so I know a little bit about what I'm looking for in a wax, and I can tell you that this wax really was AMAZING. Channada was quick, but not rushed; she was thorough; and the smoothness lasted forever. You know how when you leave some waxing studios, and it feels like the there's stubble within two days? Nope - not here! I don't have anything negative to say about my old studio, but I can't beat Channada's prices, or the convenience of her studio to my new place, so it looks like I'll definitely be switching. read more

I've gotten a Brazilian about 3 times here, once with Lin and twice with Channanda. Both are lovely ladies, and did a wonderful job. Channanda's wax was especially painless, as she is quick and fluid. However, my only disappointment was that, the second time I attended her, she waxed some extra areas without asking my consent and then charged me an extra $15 on top of the Brazilian, so I was pretty shocked. The first time, she had asked my consent, and I had declined, so I didn't expect this. As a broke student who barely gets by and I save up to treat myself with a Brazilian once a month, it felt kind of like a betrayal and I was disappointed. She also blamed it on the fact that I had excess hair in the first place, and that was not cool. I wish she had communicated with me clearly beforehand. read more

I went to see Roxy religiously for about a year. She does great work and is really quick. I recommend her! The problem is the manager Channada There was an error with my appointment and she called me LITERALLY yelling at me asking me where I was and why I wasn't there. I explained to her that there must be a mix up because I didn't have an appointment. She kept yelling. She wouldn't even let me talk she kept yelling and insisting I had an appointment. At one point she even called me a liar. I really think new management is needed. Someone who blatantly yells at customers should not be in the service industry. I have poured almost $1k to this place in lash extensions and waxes and they lost my business with their poor customer service. This was also not the first time a mix up with appointments had happened. read more

I got eyelash extensions for the first time by Roxy! She was extremely nice and the experience was very soothing. However, I was surprised she did not tell me how to take care of my lashes seeing how I told her it was my first time getting them. Luckily, afterwards I got an eyebrow wax from Channada and she informed of me the best ways to care for them. I was in love with my lashes but 1 day later they had already started to droop in the middle of the curl, and this is a photo 6 days later. It's still really pretty but a lot of the lashes have started to droop, like a sagging effect in the middle of the curl, and it affects my vision. Almost all of them have fallen out near my tear duct. I've been diligent not to touch or rub my eyes, and followed Channada's instructions to the tee. I wish I could curl them to add lift where it's sagging but sadly do not own a heated curler. I have been taking extremely good care of them, so not sure what the problem is. If I return to Roxy, I will ask her to curl them closer to the eyelid (?) not sure if that is possible. Overall a great place but I definitely thought they would last longer. Would have given 5 stars if they lasted 2-3 weeks like I thought they would. read more

I love this place and Channada so much. Channada is the most attentive, caring, and pleasant person to have during a relatively uncomfortable experience. I usually just get my eyebrows and face waxed but recently I got a brazillian and my legs waxed here too. The place is small, but very clean, cozy, and relaxing. There is no double dipping, and everything is spotless in the rooms. Channada is very patient with clients to do as thorough of a job as possible, but she's also very quick to minimize the amount of pain. She's given me great tips for exfoliating and caring for my skin. Honestly, waxing is painful, but this was my least painful experience, and Channada and I chat the entire time to help me not focus on the awkward situation. I never write reviews but this I loved this place so much I had to write about it. I went to get eyelash extensions and found a groupon for a full set and a fill. Setting up the appointment was so easy and the owner was extremely accommodating. I live an hour away but it's so with coming back. The lash specialist is kind and gentle while dealing with my lashes and asks what kind of look i'm going for and delivers it. I have really short and straight lashes and my lashes don't look unnatural, so now I don't have to spend a long time putting on mascara. All of the tools are extremely sanitary and professional. My friend and I came in for Brazilian waxes. Channada did an amazing job 'covering all ends' during the service with very little pain. I have been getting Brazilian waxes for a few years now in the DC area and I must say the majority of them are wayyyyy over priced and sometimes not even detailed. I appreciate her accommodating us last minute and having a fair priced service. With Brazilian waxing it's important to get them back to back when needed but sometimes shelling out $75 every 4-6 weeks can get pricey.
