This location is convenient since it's located right off the freeway so I'm able to stop by for a quick pick up. Plenty of parking available in their private lot. Their inventory has a wider selection since it doesn't seem like this location gets frequented as much. I also like that the prices here are slightly lower than the same locations in LA. Unfortunately there are no dash carts at this location so you can either check out with a cashier or use their walk out technology. However, the walkout method doesn't send you a receipt until hours later so there's no opportunity to look at the receipt to make sure everything is correct. read more

A mix of both good and bad. The good first: the store is clean and the employees are friendly, who are helpful. This is a great place to come to get the basics if you happen to be driving by. I just would never go out of my way to come here, the way I do for Whole Foods. If you're in a rush and are an Amazon prime member, you just literally add the items to your cart, then scan your membership ID when you leave, and just walk out the store. No actual checkout if you are in a hurry. I did like the produce section and the pricing as well. Now the not so good: they don't have the same selection as a regular super market does. Furthermore, they dont have all the items that are shown in the ad. They seem to be still trying to get it together. If you are trying to use the $20 off coupon, the walkout feature is not so good because it does not tell you if you qualify for the discount or not. My advice is if you are trying to use the coupon, then go through the checkout line, where you can get an actual receipt. I'll still come back, as I did like the produce section, and parts of the meat department. read more

This was my first visit. I came to try the "Just Walk Out" checkout-less shopping experience. (This is as opposed to the alternative "Amazon Dash Cart", available at the Irvine location.) Upon entrance, you scan a code within the Amazon app (or a registered credit card) to identify yourself and the payment method. Then, gather your groceries in cart (bag as you go, if you like) as usual. Finally, scan the code again on the way out to complete the transaction - without using a checkout line or scanning individual items. Overhead cameras throughout the store figure out what you purchased, and send you a receipt. How'd it go? Good! First off, it's worth knowing I shop sales and used their $20 off $40 coupon. The haul you see pictured ended up costing me just $23.01. Unlike the Irvine location, which is frequently out of sale items, the Mission Viejo location had most of the items on my list on a Sunday afternoon (peak shopping time). The store was not very busy and there were clerks around to help. I bought fish at the meat counter (by weight) plus some packaged port chops (fixed 1lb packages). Most of the produce appeared to be unit priced rather than by weight. There was a long delay before my receipt was emailed - over 4.5 hours. I wasn't inclined to blindly trust the billing, so I checked the receipt when it finally arrived. It was 100% accurate. I don't know how much of the tallying is AI versus human auditing, but I was pleasantly surprised by the accuracy. On at least one occasion I pulled an item from the shelf and then placed it back, but that didn't confuse the tallying. All the quantities were correct. In the staid world of grocery shopping, this is something novel and shows promise. If you're an Amazon customer, give it a try. read more

The newest Amazon Fresh location opened in Mission Viejo yesterday down the street from the Shops At Mission Viejo on Crown Valley. This location employs a cashier less experience where you scan your Amazon Fresh barcode, shop by adding your items to cart, and exiting the store with a scan of coupons & Amazon barcode. It's definitely different and I can't say it's better but if you want to avoid contact with people for a pleasant experience, this might be the store for you. The pricing wasn't exactly cheaper than Whole Foods but they carry a lot of the same items. The store wasn't completely stocked from what I could tell but they had quite a few items I normally get. We had a coupon from the mail so we were there to grab a few items. I stocked up on items that were 50% off and grabbed a few essentials. We even grabbed a few slices of pizza from the hot food counter. With the coupon, the pizza came out to $1.10 per slice! Score! The alcohol section is separate and IDs are checked before you enter that section. I didn't go into that section but it is guarded by an employee. They also sell a few electronic Amazon items and have Amazon lockers at this location. I didn't get a receipt at exit but it was emailed to me this morning. I noticed that they charged me for an item we ended up putting back and requesting a refund was fairly simple through the Amazon app. I did wonder how things were kept track of, so beware what you put in your cart as it might not notice that items are removed from the cart while you're shopping. This definitely could be dangerous shopping with kids. All the staff we encountered were really nice and excited to be working at this location. Hopefully they do well and this will be the future model of grocery shopping. read more

Amazon's grocery attempt sucks without Whole Foods. This may as well be a warehouse with some stuff you can buy. Some prices are great! Otherwise, there were so many missing items, you might have thought it was the summer of 2020. I wanted to buy specific things for a dish I was making but had to go to Whole Foods to finish getting what I needed. At least, Whole Foods is reliable with stocking. read more

We have been waiting for this new store to open, so glad to have another grocery option nearby! The employees are wonderful, the store is large, fully stocked and very clean and spacious. The prices are very fair, especially if you shop the store brands and sale items. They also offer a two hour delivery which has work seamlessly. Wonderful addition to the neighborhood! read more

I've shopped here 3 times. It's very clean and expensive. My first experience was disappointing in several ways: 1.) At the deli counter I waited 5 minutes to order 1 lb. of sliced turkey and 1 lb. of sliced roast beef, after several minutes I received 1/2 lb. of turkey and had to ask for the full pound originally requested. Then after another few minutes I had to make a second request for the roast beef and waited several minutes and was handed a 1/2 lb. bag not the full pound so again, waited several more minutes to get the remainder. After using the "auto check-out" and not receiving a receipt, I arrived home to find two bags of sliced pastrami NOT the roast beef I asked for. The second experience using "auto check out" system resulted in discovering 2 hours later via email (no in-store receipt again) there was no $20 discount for the valid coupon I scanned. After several hours on three phone calls over two days Amazon finally gave me a $20 credit on a future Amazon online purchase - what, I have to buy more stuff to get the $20 ??? Third experience I decided to use normal clerk check out line (avoiding "auto check out") as I had another coupon. They did not have sliced roast beef and the checker had difficulty with checking out the two other customers in front of me. Finally, to make matters worse, the store is in a very busy intersection of the freeway, hospital & shopping mall with limited parking access so be prepared to spend a lot of time getting to and from the store. read more

Ordered pizza. Was told 10 Minutes. I cane back after 10, and was told to come back after 5 mins. Came back right at the 5th minute only to find my pizza is missing a slice- sold to a customer in front of me. The shift changed, so another guy didn't know it was my whole pizza order. He cooked another whole pizza, waited for another 10 minutes. Before 10 minutes was up, he boxed my pizza. Paid for it, brought it home, and found RAW DOUGH! Very disappointing service! read more

This store is the GOAT. Despite what I may think of Jeff Bezos on any given day, even if Amazon delays a delivery of an important item beyond credulity, this store is the brand ambassador that keeps me faithful to Amazon. I am still fairly new with shopping at Amazon Fresh. I usually shop at my location in Huntington. But I came here coming from a friends house to pic up a few things to go home with. All the fresh produce and meats come from here. I purchased a few items that I could not get from anywhere else. Salad bars and deli areas have variety of choices. I was able to get everything I needed in a short amount of time. Help was nearby if I needed it. read more

Haven't been inside the store but did an online order pick up. Variety online isn't a lot but I was able to get what I needed for my recipe. The pick up was extremely fast. The employee came out in less than 2 minutes but we did come in the morning around 8-830am. read more

I have mixed opinions about this store. Pros - So convenient to walk in and out without waiting in line or having to chit chat with a cashier. - Coupons are great! I often receive $10 or $20 off if you spend $40. I even got one for returning merchandise last week. - produce is pretty fresh Cons - variety of products ok but more obscure items like oyster sauce are not sold here - prices are average, possibly higher than normal in some cases - this is what prompted me to write this review today.... The last 3 times I visited the store, the employees gathering grocery items for other customers are rude and take up the whole isle. Several park their gigantic carts right in the middle of the isle so nobody can get by. Today I patiently waited for one woman to put something away and she just glared at me and moved. Never said a word. There were more people in the store picking items for others than actual customers. I don't mind them being there but be courteous to the customers in the store so we can get our stuff too. And loose the attitude. read more

While I gave the Irvine store 4 stars just based on all the great coupon deals, this store I also wanted to start with 4 stars but ultimately had to subtract due to some glaring cons. First off, I go to the Irvine and MV store quite often so I have a good gauge to compare the two. While yes it's nice using the $20 off $40, this MV store is much smaller. I feel like the store itself is about half the size, which equals way less selection, and the parking is super tiny. About a month ago, this store had a big sale to lure folks in, and the parking lot was a mad house. Also it was super hot and so I always find shade to park under, but all the shade was taken. In fact, Every time I've come here, the shade parking has been taken. This fact leads me to believe the parking are all taken by employees, annoying but that's small potatoes. Also small squirrel, so back on topic. So the selection is smaller, mainly affecting the dry goods aisle, frozen foods, and some produce. When I talk about the Irvine location being great for the singles and yuppies, this store is even smaller. The only weird thing I notice about this store is the alcohol. It is in its' own section and cordoned off with an employee standing ready to check you in and out. Not sure what that's about but reminds me of New Jersey with their alcohol laws. The alcohol section in New Jersey is always in a section by itself and you have to purchase your alcohol there and nowhere else. Than the deli section I didn't even want to touch but I'd imagine it'd taste just as great. Another giant difference is this location doesn't have an area for you to sit and eat your food like the Irvine location. Lets move on to the technology. In this department, they get 4 stars due to their successful mission of having customers walk in, pick their items, and literally walk out. My gripe is that you can't tell what you're total is until 15 minutes later when the receipt updates on your phone. So again, you have to be a young, successful yuppie who doesn't care how much your groceries are, to come here. I've been having to tally up my total and go a dollar or 2 over $40, just in case, to get that $20 off. So would I choose to go to this store if it wasn't for the $20 off? Not a chance. I'd rather go to the bigger Irvine location. read more

I learned you can return Amazon packages there and get a coupon good towards future purchases, seems like a much better coupon than the ones they offer at Kohl's so I'm going to give it a try... Plus I love Amazon fresh, I prefer to have it delivered and this is a very close location to where I live! read more

Every time I give this place another chance I regret it. Today I ordered a fresh pizza and they actually we're open and making them. Except they were out of the spinach for the one I wanted. How is that even possible when they have a full produce department? So I walk over pick up some spinach and take it back and give it to them. Problem solved except they still didn't want to use it because it come from the deli dept. Huh? When I pointed out the complete absurdity, the manager finally okayed it. Turns out they actually had a box of it in the back, just couldn't be bothered to put some out front!. This place is just lame beyond lame. It looks like most of the locals have given up on this place, it's empty most of the time despite being next to a busy mall. I don't see them doing many deliveries either. The people that work here are sooooo nice! Love their salad bar. You pay by the small, medium, or large container, not by lbs. The soup bar is also delicious & you pay by the size of the container. When I browse the aisles, I'm pleasantly surprised by some of the random weekly sales. read more

Got a couple slices of freshly made pepperoni pizza. Service was great. Super counter person. Pizza smelled great, but when I went to eat it, it was one of the blandest pizzas I have ever had -- and I've eaten a lot of pizza. Crust too thick. Sauce and pepperoni just plain bland. Amazon Fresh was clean, of course it is new so it should be. I found the prices were typically high, medium high or very high. I don't understand how I can get items like honey from Amazon for $10 but at Amazon fresh the same bottle is $17. That was the highest markup I saw. On the plus side, the fresh meat and fish were high quality lime Costco. A pound of fresh bacon on 6-14-2022 was $9. It appeared to be quality bacon. You decide. Packaged bacon was about $5 for 12oz I think I will stick to Sprouts or Stater Bros for now. Try it and decide for yourself. read more

After much anticipation, I visited the store. While I find the store well stocked, there is almost an industrial, too sterile feel here. I'm in the food industry, so I'm used to shopping at many different ethnicities of stores, which gives a different ambiance in each. Here, the aisles are long and tall, lighting is dim. Uninviting. The prices aren't much different than that of other big box stores. I came for fish, ahi specifically, and they had that. You could tell that it had been thawing in the platter that it sat in, the thaw water pooled around it, and the fillets itself looked dull and dry. Just unappetizing. Getting in and out is kind of a pain, and you don't get your receipt in hand right away. I came in with a coupon, and left without buying a single item. Shame, but I am Underwhelmed. read more

Horrible customer services is the main reason driving people away. The cashier and the manager are both with attitude, unhelpful during checkout. It is funny that a so-called high technology store with staff that didn't know how to handle tech problem, it is definitely a shame. By the way, I just wanna use my gift card balance to check out and they were like NO, they can't do it. There is no such option and asked me to keep trying to scan my code if I like, what? You think a miracle will happens if I keep trying? Please go for training again if you are lack of knowledge. The worst of all, there is no apology.
