I am embarrassed to admit that I live walking distance to the market and had not visited Amber until today. I thought I had found the best Bloody Mary at the market. I stand corrected. Amber's are the best. And she is the real deal. Real, authentic, local Hollywood. We found our new fave market spot.

I recently went to Yellow Green Farmers Market for the first time ever and was blown away, to say the least. So many things to see, buy, taste, and explore! After doing one dizzying lap and being turned away from our original brunch plan at ChillBar (two hour wait?!), my friend and I were lured by the bright colors and inviting atmosphere of Amber's Tropical Escape. That's exactly what it felt like: an escape from the hustle and bustle of the market, although it's definitely in the thick of it all. There was a young boy about 12 working the counter (Amber's son?). He was very cute and invited us to sit down at the bar. The menu is very simple and succinct with sandwiches, salads, and a couple of apps. We both got chicken quesadillas and a mimosa. It's almost as if you're a guest in Amber's kitchen, as she's pretty much cooking right in front of you in tight quarters. Our quesadilla came out quick and hit the spot when paired with some tasty hot sauces they had on hand. The tortilla has some sort of herbs in it which was a nice touch. While we ate, Amber chatted with us a bit and was super friendly. At the end of the meal, she gave us a sample of her frozen sangria that was AWESOME, but she did warn us it was quite strong. Next time, I'll be back to grab one of those and walk around the market. This isn't going to be the most exotic food or even the best you'll find in the market, but if laid back simplicity is what you're after, look no further!

It's my first time stopping by Amber's although I've walked by it plenty of times. I was eagerly greeted by Amber and immediately felt welcomed and decided to stay. We got the fish dip and tuna sandwich as well as the frozen sangrias. The frozen sangrias were nothing like what i expected- and i'm glad! It was actually delicious and were potent as well. The food was good, healthy, and tasted fresh. I look forward to visiting again.

We loved amber! She's to much fun and prob one of the best parts of yellow green! Her drinks were great and especially her Bloody Mary, I know I had a few to many but you know they are good when you drink more than one Bloody Mary! We had fun talking and hanging out with her while she entertained us and even our lil pup with peanut butter and dog treats! Thank you again for everything!

This place wins because of the ambiance and location within the Farmer's Market. We visited Yellow Green on Father's Day and brought the pups in to take a lazy stroll around the place. It was our first time here and we had heard so many great things about the market itself. Anyways, onto Amber's place. It's pretty centrally located and cozy. The bar seats about 10-15 people and it also has two or three extra areas set up with patio furniture rented to accommodate for an overfill of customers (it must get really busy sometimes). The day we were there, it was very empty and we joined two others at the bar. Amber greeted us and was very friendly. She offered us drinks and we opted for the beer and YG trendy, 'frozen sangria.' Both were good and perfect for a hot Sunday afternoon. Considering the fact that I'm usually a bourbon girl, I was really surprised that the sangria had such a kick and that by the time I finished I was feeling a little bit of a buzz. The food itself wasn't anything to get excited about. I ordered the house-made fish dip that Amber prides herself on and my hubby had the sirloin burger. The fish dip was small, plain in flavor, and served with toast points, jalapeños, and limes. It was okay, but a tad fishy for my taste and could've used some fresh herbs mixed in like basil, cilantro, or dill. The burger was tiny and served on french bread. My hubby was starving so naturally he scarfed it down, but when he finally came up for air he mentioned that it was dry and overcooked albeit edible. His burger was also served with Ruffles potato chips, yippee NBD. The dining experience killed two stars due to the price of the meal and drinks. We ordered the beer and sangria thinking that they'd be affordable like a couple bucks, but they ended up costing us almost as much as the appetizer and meal itself. Anyways, I get the appeal of this place and I know why Amber is successful. She's genuine and kind. Her food is good, but doesn't tout any bells or whistles. She even offered our pups a little treat which was nice. I don't know if I would return to the Tropical Escape, but I'll definitely be back to Yellow Green.

Absolutely amazing drinks, food and the first to its kind famers market cafe experience. Must have the frozen sangria! No where else has anything like it. Everything is fresh and homemade, delicious and affordable. We don't go to the yellow green farmers market without stopping in.

There was a good size crowd for a Thursday. We tried a couple wines, both were solid. the bartender was nice and the ambiance of the place was very welcoming. When it was about showtime we went in the back. Its a kooky room with a really high ceiling and accustic improving wall appliances. The show was fun; a DJ, a fella on bongos, and a gal came out and played cello to a couple songs too. Very glad we took a chance on driving down for this eclectic show. TVs for watching our favorite football games, one placed and centered at the back of the bar to easily see and one above where we are seated. The atmosphere is friendly and our server was very chill, allowing us to taste a couple of the wines we were interested in. All the wines by the glass or bottle were listed clearly on a chalk board. Great variety listed by grape and wine producer/name of the wine. We chose a light Carmanere although the other ones we talked we also good. Since my wife and I were both drinking the same wine we ordered a bottle. The prices of these wines are so reasonable, in fact never seen prices this low for comparable wines. You can also purchase wines off their display of wines in a separate wine room at 30-40 percent off the prices you drink them at in house if you purchase 3 wines to take home. Great variety there as well and offers wines from different wine regions around the world. Our food choices off the menu were Prosciutto Wrapped Dates, Artichokes and a beautiful Beef Carpaccio Plate. All were presented beautifully and paired well with our Carmanere. We did order clams but they were tiny and did not care for them. Friendly cozy bar. Not too big and conducive to meeting people. So we saw all our football games we wanted to watch , drank great wine paired with some great dishes. Yes , we purchased 3 bottles to take home after including the Carmanere we drank. Definitely coming back. This place is different.

Sidecar Speakeasy was the play... The speakeasy entrance was hidden in a hallway you can walk right by without even noticing. I dig it. Once inside, it's dark. Most of the light is coming from the light showcasing the bottles in the bar. The seating is a little tight as they're trying to maximize space for such a small area. We visited here twice during my visit: We sat at a table and a bar. You have the perfect amount of space for your party, but you're pretty close to the next table or bar seat. No claustrophobic vibes though. All the mixologists were great during both visits. One visit, we ordered their signature cocktails from the menu. When we sat at the bar, we had the mixologist surprise with a cocktail off the menu. He just asked what kind of liquor vibe we wanted, and he took it from there. He was super creative with every cocktail which made for a great time. They stayed upon until midnight one one visit and until 1 am on the other one. Both my visits were on a weekday. The sidecar speakeasy is easily my favorite bar in Fort Lauderdale and I have a feeling I'll be back. Enjoy!

You can tell there is a passion for great food behind everything that comes out of the kitchen. The bar program deserves special recognition as well. The bartenders work with fresh ingredients and premium spirits, and you can taste the difference immediately. Every cocktail is balanced, flavorful, and thoughtfully crafted rather than simply poured. It's clear they take as much pride in the drinks as the kitchen does in the food. The service team is equally impressive. The waitstaff is always friendly, attentive, and accommodating without ever making you feel rushed. They genuinely want you to enjoy your experience and go out of their way to make every visit memorable. The atmosphere is another reason this place stands out. The music is always perfectly curated, creating the ideal backdrop for an intimate dinner, date night, or evening out with friends.
