I grew up going to this movie theatre, finally decided to go back after the pandemic and I am extremely disappointed. For starters, the seats in the movie are DIRTY, seems like they don't get cleaned possibly ever... restrooms no toilet paper and just disgusting. Children are running everywhere like it's a park. The workers were going in an out during the movie coming to watch the movie like they don't have a million things they could be cleaning. The concession stand was also just beyond belief, very unkept and seemed to only have popcorn and candy, despite a full menu, also heard a coworker tell the other coworker to say they don't have cinnamon pretzels so they don't go through the hassle of making them. This movie is theatre is ghetto and seemed to just be ran by children. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

Probably the consecutively worse movie theater ever. I don't even know how they survived the pandemic. The employees need more training. I asked for two tickets at the box office and they said they didn't know what movie I was talking about so I had to pull it up on my phone and show them. The snack stand is disgusting, the bartenders are clueless. It was just sad. Recent improvements inside this theater have once again made it the premier east DFW location to watch a movie, and I say this over UA Garland, Cinemark Rockwall and the theater in Forney. Only the AMC at Firewheel is better in this part of the metroplex, but it may not be as convenient for you to access. For starters, there are now 4 types of screens inside which I will breakdown below. -Standard Theater -IMAX Theater -Fork & Screen Theater -Cinema Suites Theater The standard, fork & screen and cinema suites ALL have new, beautiful leather chairs. These are wide, comfortable, and best of all can be chosen when buying your ticket in person or online. In Fork & Screen and Cinema Suites, push button services summons a waiter or waitress to serve you food, bring refills or drinks from the bar. Cinema Suite is for adults only, so choose this option if you want a kid-free experience. IMAX is still the biggest and the best screen, but sadly it has now outdated seating style. I hope the correct this in the future. The concession stand is improved and how has Coke Freestyle Machines which you can access yourself, as well as premium drinks and hot snacks like pizza and chicken fingers. The lobby is fresher and cleaner than before. The arcade has been totally eliminated. A relic of a simpler time. The staff here is young, and generally well trained. No problems with them. The only thing keeping this theater from 5 stars is the location, which is not the fault of AMC. Mesquite Texas simply is not a premier destination for nightlife, and depending on the day and time can be slightly unsafe. This is a theater where you should be certain to lock your doors, as sad as that is for me to say. If only I could give this theatre zero stars... Came today to watch a movie with my kids. This place is disgusting. Food all over the floor and none of the teenagers working here seem interested in cleaning it. In fact I saw some groups of kids that work here talking to each other. Had to wait several minutes before anyone noticed I was in line waiting to order some food because they were too busy socializing. To make matters worse they were out of everything except some limited candy and popcorn. No pretzel bites. No pretzels. No butter for popcorn except for at one station. The drink station was filthy and the soft drinks were flat. Steer clear of this place. I've been here many times and remember it to be much cleaner than it is now. This is me and my fiancee go to spot...we always go here to watch any movie that we want to see. This AMC is really easy to find right off the freeway and its big. This location is really clean and spacious. They actually just renovated this location. So now they have leather seats and now the dine in feature. I have had their food and acholic drinks both are really good. Now don't expect any fancy stuff. The prices are a little steep but that as to be expected. Customer service is average as expected. Overall this place is always my go to spot when I want to chill and relax and watch a movie read more

Went for Venom, which is a pg-13 movie. (that's hard to believe, I guess we're getting too desensitized to gore and violence). There had to be a dozen kids under 10 in the theatre running around, screaming, talking incessantly and playing on their phones. Another lady right behind me was talking on her cell phone in speaker mode and I had to ask her to please stop. It was so loud, I could clearly hear she was conducting business. Drink machines were out of a lot of flavors or they tasted horrible. After this experience, I'm thinking about selling all my AMC stock. Our entire experience was so bad that I don't even know where to start. I am so disappointed that any event space would make so many claims about Covid, yet fail so miserably with cleanliness. This entire place is just dirty, sticky and junky... and it clear that there has been no true cleaning in a very long time. The staff is sullen and resentful, like they don't want to be there. The food is absolutely TERRIBLE. The fries tasted like they were days old and reheated. Our burgers came in a bag with no utensils and no napkins. The chairs are uncomfortable and don't recline. Friday evening, thought I'd go see a movie. I honestly don't think they could have screwed up my experience more than they did. From the cashiers, to the single ticket taker, to the kids behind the concession stand, everyone was more interested in talking to each other than helping customers. From the time I arrived in front, to the time I got to my seat was almost 20 minutes, even though they were not that busy for a Friday. Buying a ticket. The cashiers all had their microphones turned up so loud that every time they tried to speak a shrieking loud and painful feedback made it impossible to understand them. The concessions were dirty, with trash and spilled food on every surface. There was only one drink machine dispensing ice, and the drink selections were mostly greeted out. The only diet selections were iced tea and water. The butter station was a greasy mess, with no salt to be found, and in the end, the popcorn was stale anyway. I got to my seat, watched the requisite 20 minutes of previews with the house lights at full, so the screen looked like a bad bootleg from the internet. Then the movie started.... with the house lights still at full. I missed the first 5 minutes of the movie because I couldn't see it, and couldn't hear it with everyone in the audience screaming about the house lights. But other than that, it was fine. read more

Absolutely the worst theater experience ever. The theater was filthy and not cleaned properly and never sanitized for COVID. There was no food service in the dine in and at the concessions most of the food was not available. The management should be fired and the theater closed until it can be made safe for theater goers. This theater was like the penitentiary grounds for a theater in disguise. Objects were being thrown at my family. It's like they were just trying to pick a fight with who ever would tell them to shut their loud mouths up or to stop throwing stuff at us. Kids or whatever they were behind us were bumping our chairs and there was plenty of walking room when you put you legs out, you can't even reach the seat in front of you. I would be embarrassed to be related to these individuals. People like them get business shut down and then they go ruin another good place with their presents. Luckily, 3/4ths towards the end of the movie they finally left and we got to enjoy the ending and as we were walking outside to leave the theater they were outside fighting someone. I wouldn't even ask for a refund because it's not worth even going back for second chance. It used to be a great theater 15 years ago. Avoid this theater at all cost. Invest your money else where. It's not even the theaters faults to have this bad review, it's the people that raised these things to act that way in public so Let the zoo keep its animals in it and I pray they don't shut down this theater and they venture out. I rather keep my family away to be safe. They had tons of security/cops there too but none were outside protecting the paying customers that were being beating right in front of the doors for telling these people stuff. It was like being inside a Compton movie but in Mesquite. If you like this type of crowd and like to fight then this is your type of place. The only good review I can give was the guy at the bar with the tattoo on his neck that took our order was very respectful with great manners. He deserves a raise for putting up with goes on at this theater and staying there. Also the app to buy your own tickets was a great win since the seats were selling out while standing in line. First of all, the place is disgustingly dirty. There is trash everywhere. I don't think they clean the theaters. Our cup holders look like they have vomit inside of them. Secondly, the dine-in concept they claim in the name of the theater is a LIE!! In order to eat food at this theater, you have to order at the bar, wait for 25-30 minutes, then take it yourself into the theater, which is just normal chairs. Then you have to eat your dinner out of boxes on your lap. This crappy, dirty, poor service theater is capitalizing off of the Studio Movie Grill & Alamo Draft House concept without any of the amenities. This is a colossal disappointment and absolutely not worth any of your money. read more

I'm currently sitting in the theater waiting for my movie to start. Where do I start first? The employee at the concession stand was very friendly. However, the self serve area was a wreck! There is napkins, popcorn, butter and spilled drink everywhere. The counter top is sticky and doesn't look like it has even been wiped down. My seat has empty candy wrapped down the side and old popcorn. Is this what I pay to in my stubs membership? A dirty theater, sticky floors and overpriced food? This is one of the nicer movie theaters in this area and it does have an IMAX theater which is good to know when big movies come out! It has a really grand walk-up which is kind of cool if you haven't been to one of these types of movie theatres. Inside you have the normal, over priced concessions, and somewhat unfriendly staff. The seats are pretty comfortable, I've just always liked to go to this one when we get the chance because it is a nicer theater than some of the local ones. read more

If you want less than subpar food that costs as much as a 5 star restaurant, save yourself the trouble and go to a different dine in theater. Anywhere but here is a step up. Boyfriend and I came here for a nice date night but it was anything but. A bowl of chicken bacon Mac and cheese for $13, everything was cold and you get maybe $5 worth of food. There was also an entire group of grown adults talking throughout the entire time, phones flashing the entire movie, but nothing was done when a couple people complained. Literally standing in the aisle chatting with each other as if we were all in a mall, DURING THE MOVIE. I've given this place a few chances and each time it seems to get worse and worse. Had a pretty bad experience today for our "Fork and Screen" movie. Got there at 7:10pm for a 7:15pm showing. A server didn't greet us until 7:35pm. Ordered some food and 2 glasses of water. By 8:40pm we asked a server that was walking by to please get us our food. Food came by at 8:50pm, still no waters, which took another 10 min. So why 4 stars? The last time I went there, I realized my wallet was missing the following day. I called this theater and they had found my wallet underneath the seats and had it saved at the customer service desk. I wrote an email to corporate expressing my gratitude. Today, even though I had an unpleasant experience, the manager on duty apologized for being understaffed and made the situation right. The food was decent, chairs were comfy. So overall, I'm happy with my experiences there. read more

This place has gotten a bit ghetto for my tastes and has a weird vibe. They have a "hallway" of fountains for drinks using the new touch screen technology--not a fan. When I went they were all out of Coke! And this drink area was dirty and sticky. I do like the big cushy chairs in the cinema suites. My family came down this amc to watch jackass at 4:00pm the officer at the front sent us back stating they don't open until 5:00pm we decided to wait an hr. The time came around and got sent back talking about we will have to rebuy the tickets for another time and our online tickets have been automatically refunded. I checked my bank account and there was no refund I mentioned the lady at the front about it and she stated it'll take up to 3-5 business day. Took my kids watch Toy story 4. Food was good, service was good, movie was great. BUT there was a group of ratchet ass kids running in and out of the theater. They were loud, playing with their phones, running in and out of the theater causing a very distracting environment totally disregarding the rest of the visitors. At one point security came in and took about half of them out but the ones left behind continued being unruly. The half taken out quickly returned afterwards. The only reason we stayed was because my kids were really into the movie. I'm a huge movie fan and an even bigger AMC Stubs loyal customer BUT if this is how the theater is going to be run, then maybe it's time I start looking at their competition. Horrible experience at the Mesquite AMC. Arrived 25 minutes prior to the movie. Very long line to get popcorn and many of the counter workers seemed disinterested in moving people through the line. Finally got someone to help us, we placed our order and the counter worker decided to clean out the popcorn machine rather than get us our popcorn. He literally took our order, we paid and he turned around without another word. We stood at the counter for almost 10 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge us. Finally someone on another register, noticed us, looked at our order on the register and brought us our popcorn and a cup. Two of the soda machines were not working and only one of the two working had Ice. Four of the six butter machines did not work and the ones that were lit up were out of butter. Went back to the counter to ask for Ice and butter, they said they would "tell someone". Movie was about to start so didn't wait any longer. Popcorn we received had a half inch of kernels at the bottom, so I left the movie to get fresh popcorn. The movie started and I was surprised to see that it had Spanish close caption at the bottom of the screen. I do not go to a movie expecting to watch distracting words across the screen. Multiple police cars were patrolling the parking lot when we left the movie... not sure what happened, but something obviously happened to bring multiple squad cars to the parking lot... Worst Movie theater experience I've ever had. read more

He goes down to check it out as the movie starts and we begin eating! When he returns,he's empty handed telling me I didn't order 2 shakes. I tell him I did its not my fault and bring another shake. He asks me to come down a I remind you the movie has already started and my food had just been delivered. One of my favorite movie theaters due to the setting the have going on. Plenty of options on what they offer for your movie experience. The dine in theatre is my favorite. The seats are wide and comfy with stadium seating, a little dim light you press to the left or right if you as well as a table you can push away if need be. Definitely a long way from SMG. I stood in the concession line for over 25 mins got to the very front only to be told I would have to go to the very back of the line which was now twice as long as when I started because this line was only for a certain member. I'm always glad to go to the movies. Great theatre great staff great quality of everything. The reason for the below average review is that the chairs are really under sized I'm overweight like 220 and I sat next to an overweight person... about the same size as me he was pleasant we talked about the movie before it started cool guy in general once we were not facing each other we both realized they stuffed4 feet of people in 3 feet of space that made it really uncomfortable for the both of us. We managed ok and we both had a good time. It seems the theatre just tries to stuff as many people in a small place as possible. I can only imagine this is to sell the premium seats in the dine in. The price was still around 12-13 each I will for sure be back but not on the same theatre read more

Went to see hustlers tonight in theater 14. 10:15 pm movie. $19 for 2 adult tickets $38 popcorn, pizza & 2 drinks. As we're walking into to seat L3-L4 we were greeted by a rat. Then there was people in our seats they were very kind about moving they were just in our seats trying to get away from the rats. (It was dark in the theater). Another couple said they also seen the rat. Well I'm assuming there was more than one. There was popcorn everywhere so I'm sure they were having the time of their life eating away. But dang you'd think the movie complex could get that treated. Nasty. read more
