This theater has the worst concession set up. The popcorn was cold and the area where you have to put your own butter on was a mess and one of the machines was out of butter. The spot where you have to get your own icee was so gross. The counters were so dirty it was disgusting. The employees behind the register at the box office are rude and unhelpful. The girl says I can help the next person and when I tell her what I'd like she tells me to move over to the automatic teller machine and calls out next. Really. I guess it was too much for her to punch in 2 tickets. Never going back to this theater. I'd rather wait in traffic to go to Showcase Lowell. I really miss showcase in Lawrence!! read more

We were there 10/9/'19 to see the movie "Judy"... what a fiasco!! The self-serve ticket machines were mot working, some were empty of printer paper & there was 1, poor, beleaguered employee attempting to assist at least 85 people who were frustrated & angry. We had been in line for tickets for 30 minutes, show was about to begin & no one was able to get their tickets. Forget this place ...from now on its AMC theater on 102 in Londonderry. Amc methuen which is ironically located on pleasant street was anything but pleasant. Excited to enjoy deadpool 2 waiting for the previews I just so happened to see a rodent!!! When confronted the managers did a poor job of troubleshooting the situation. The manager was rude and gave a pitiful excuse explaining that they have BEEN aware of this problem and that it's due to construction on one of their theaters. I wasn't even refunded my money for the food we didn't eat. But to top it all off AMC's Corporate office says there's nothing they can do about it. read more

This has got to be a wake up call for AMC corporate what a Hugh disappointment this theatre has turned out to be. From ripped and torn seats to sagging and broken so called recliners to the men's room smelling so bad when you walk in hit by the stench of urine yuk. My wife and I had gone there on Thursday to see a movie one thing I did notice was all employees to include management no one was over the age of 30. They were more interested in what new video games where out then taking care of the business and the appearance or smell. Also why no soap in the bathroom soap dispensers. So as I explained to the manager the issues with this theater she had a deer in the headlight look. Bottom line is you have other choices. My suggestion until this company can get there act together I would steer clear of this dump. Oh ya the very nice young manager's solution for my complaining was to offer me 2 free passes for my troubles please I told her keep them and be more concerned on how this theater has gone down hill fast they will take the money but refuse to put any of it back into the business. The Saturday night managers at this location have cost the company years of business. My sons and I are frequent movie goers. I am a premier stubs member and recently my youngest son an I joined the A-List program. At the last minute we decided to reserve two tickets and make the 25 minute ride to see the MEG. With this promotion you need to show ID to use the ticket we bought. Well we rushed out the door and my son did not have his wallet. I have his social security card on my phone and we called home to get a pic of his drivers license. The ticket taker said no and the manager inside said no admittance. not with a social security card, his father and a picture of his DI. They figure that two empty reserved seats is better than a sale of 2 popcorns and two drinks and happy customers. This is a want-to-be upscale movie cinema with a bar, cushy adjustable chairs in the cinema, and food/beverages delivered to your chair. It comes with a fairly large cost associated with it as well. But in the end, all you really get is a movie. It's not so worth it to eat or drink there. We stopped at the bar for 2 shots and 2 drInks before the movie. The bill was over $70. The bulk of our bill was the 2 shots; ~$20 each. What were we drinking you ask- fireball. Yes, that's right...the same fireball I can get at the liquor store for less than $20 for a handle. I paid $40 for 2 measured shots. And do you want to know why they charge so much? I did ask. The cost was literally like someone was stealing my money. The bartender said it was to discourage people from doing shots because it was a family establishment. Well, had you told me the cost up front I totally would have been discouraged. Instead, I learned the hard way. Never again. I'll take my hard earned dollars right next door for drinks. And food for that matter. Movie tickets are $13 for an adult. Thats what you'll get from me, nothing more. There are far too many other options around you for anything else. And you literally stole from me. $20 for a shot of fireball. The theatre has a descent layout and a bar. The staff is friendly, but scarce. The carpets look like they haven't been cleaned in months as they have popcorn and garbage all over the place. I went to use the bathroom and went to 4 different soap dispensers, all empty. The first air dryer I went to wasn't working. A worker came in and was just sweeping crumbled paper towels. The food is overpriced and lukewarm at best. I expected overpriced drinks and food, but this is beyond fair. The sound system in the theatre seems outdated and at a volume intended for older people. Screens are descent and movies start promptly. However, don't arrive early as they cram movies back to back so you usually end up waiting til 10mins before a movie is scheduled to start because of cleaning. read more

Wow - not only insanely pricy - but now they've taken to "assigned seating" - this serves only to make it more difficult to meet friends for a spontaneous night out. These people are a strong testimony to patience and a subscription to netflix!!!! I used to be a regular here. It all changed with the installation of these reclining seats. First of all, they are the most uncomfortable, hard seats, which do not adjust to you body. I tried to sit through "the Theory of Everything" and was could not adjust the seat to any position that my body felt good with. I later went home and told my family about this experience, and was not surprised to hear that others feel the same as I do. Secondly, less room is available in theatre. You now best make reservations for a weekend movie, or you may find yourself out of any seat. My mother and I left on a recent Saturday morning, due to unavailable seats remaining. Thirdly, and not least, a raise in theatre prices. I will not be returning to this theatre with any frequency (if at all). A shame, as I used to be a weekly regular. read more

Just experienced the worst movie cinema experience ever. This AMC in Methuen is literally so dirty. I went to go see a hindi movie with a friend on Tuesday night and we picked seats up top of the theatre. Midway thru the movie I kept seeing a shadow in the light of the stairs. I ignored it a few times. Then finally when I looked over again I saw a family of mice having a party just feet away from me. I screamed in my seat (most definitely people heard me) I slowly got up from my reclined seat and ran out. People saw me running out. My friend who was with me did not realize at the moment what just happened until she heard the mice making noise and she did the same ran out of there. I will never come back here again. After not going to this theater for awhile, decided to go to see Knives Out. We had stopped going because of the uncleanliness of the theater. Well, things are not any better, if not worse. The trash bins outside of almost every theater were overflowing, and this is in the middle of the afternoon on a Monday. Spilled popcorn and trash were all over the carpeting in the foyer and hallways. Absolutely terrible. This theater desperately needs new management to do a whole redo of the place. Today my brother, father and I went to see a movie today Sence we had nothing to do. I liked how you can order the tickets online witch is the best method sence you have to reserve the seats. Once we tried it and we would have to sit at different ends of the theater. The movie was great and never had glitched. Also they have reclining seats witch is good to at least lay down in and get comfortable. All the food and drinks were standard and had good quality. Good theater, good customer service. Way too many kids there on the weekends, which would be fine if they're respectful to other moviegoers but they're usually NOT (they're better inside than they are out front, so park in the BACK!). Credit card machine breaks down far too often, so be prepared to wait in the super long line while everyone under the age of 18 buys their own individual tickets... can't they pool their money ahead of time? :) read more

Many updates have been done at this movie theatre. They should definitely fix where they sell food. It's extremely confusing to order food because you have to go through a whole maze just to order food and then you have to go again to pick it up in a different spot. I absolutely love the seats... they are so so comfortable! They recline far back and are very soft. But, the theater can be dirty at times. AMC at the loop has gone down hill. It's a shame because it was always our favorite. Many of the theatres that I have been in have ripped leather seats and sticky residue from drinks and snacks in the creases of the chairs. The bathrooms are not kept up with during popular movie viewing hours, and are often dirty. read more

Love the new set up. The concession stand set up is great and keeps lines moving. The new seats are incredibly relaxing. The only thing that bothers me is the soda area. Purchase your tickets online and show your phone to the ticket taker. No need to print anything or go to the cashier. So convenient. While I appreciate the more efficient renovated snack bar, I do hesitate to purchase open food product (popcorn). The service is much faster and purchasing closed items is a plus. Perhaps they should consider popcorn boxes that close or even bags of popcorn for sanitary reasons. The new seating is convenient and very comfortable. Now this theater I do recommend. While a tad high on prices, this one is clean and the IMAX theater is terrific. There 2D theaters are very nice as well. They have the new AMC way of getting snacks (that efficient yet pricy) and usually have lots of showing options, however this like many promotes upcoming films that won't even be in their theater. read more

The best theater that I have ever. They have the most friendly staff, the comfiest and cleanest seats in the theater. I always go during the morning times and I never find a lot of crowd which makes everything very convenient. I wish that they had more ticket booth as it can get crowded sometimes. The best part about the cinema is the reserved seating that is confusion and hassle free. The bathrooms were pretty clean too (during the early hours) and I would definitely go there again. read more

Place is horrible. Waited 20 minutes for a movie to start and employee comes out with a "technical issues" excuses and movie restarted twice due to failed audio. If I were to return, I'm sneaking my own drinks and snacks. The large drink and popcorn is like $16 and NO refills.. At my local theater, it costs $10 for the same size with unlimited refills for the day. If you lower the costs and allow refills, I would reconsider. read more

Love the new theater seating!! You can select your specific seat online. All seats are reclining chairs with electric controls and a cup holder. You can also purchase drinks at their bar and bring them in. The tickets prices went up a bit ($13 each) but it is well worth it! read more

My bf took me out on a date here one night, I must say I was very impressed. By far one of the best looking theaters i've been to inside and out! Absolutely love the style they chose for the outside, epitome of what a theatre should be. Had one of the best 3D experience ever and can't wait to go back! I must say the theatre didn't have that nasty 'popcorn -soda spilled on rug - dirty' smell to it like every other theatre either, def A++ for cleanliness! Apparently choosing your seat ahead of time only applies to humans, because all the rats and mice in the auditorium completely disregard this rule. Also, unless you share your snacks with them, these rats will not leave you alone and can sometimes grow agitated. Movie experience is OK as long as you shower immediately when you get home and check your clothes for mice. Great place to bring a date if you are looking to quickly and cleanly end a relationship. read more

This theater is big, nice looking and has great seating. I go on off days so it's my favorite theater right now to go to. It does seem understaffed and the way the concession stand flows is odd to me. It could be cleaner but it is not disgusting. If they hired more people and have them cleaning I think this place would be 5 star. read more
