They do a really good job, very nice shop with a great atmosphere, but they get very busy and it can take awhile to get done.

The lady who did my pedicure was not friendly at all. She never offered me any of the complimentary drinks they had. As she started to do my pedicure she didn't speak, and did not listen to any of my requests. The pedicure was not done well at all, the polish wasn't neat, the bottom of my feet could have been done better. She rushed through the whole pedicure doing an awful job. This is a terrible nail salon. When I entered there was a dog wandering around the salon. this made me have second thoughts about getting my mani/pedi at there salon. After entering I attempted to use my groupon I had purchased weeks earlier. They refused to honor my groupon even though it didn't expire for 3 weeks. after minutes of arguing that that are required to honor the certificate they refused. They were very arrogant and could have cared less if the customer was upset. I left and went down to the road to a wonderful salon where they were all about customer service. I'm glad I left AMC and glad I found Valeries. They were awesome. No wonder AMC has changed hands so many times over the years. I will never return nor will my friends. read more

Came to this place for "nail dipping" or "SNS". Very poorly done. All of my nails had random dents/chips in it. The topcoat started chipping off the very next day. The color was different than the one I picked. There were 2 unhappy customers while I was there (I should've walked out when I heard them complaining). I literally went and got them redone in Sugar Land 4 days later. Needless to say, I'm never going back there again. Complete waste of time and money. read more

I have gone here several times over the time period they have been open and my experience has always been the same. They do a decent job, but the prices are too much for what you are getting. Before the ownership change, they were a lot more attentive to what you needed, but they tried to charge me for things I didn't ask for. After the ownership change, I never had the issues I had before, but they just wanted to get me in and out. There are better places around with better prices who will actually take the time to do a good job. read more

I haven't been back to AMC since they got new management, so I'm glad I got to give them a try again. I had a gift certificate to redeem and went in for their deluxe pedicure, which cost $45. Overall the experience was pretty relaxing and included a hot stone massage and hot paraffin wax treatment, amongst a few other treats during the pedicure. The only thing I had to complain about is that they didn't do as good of a job in exfoliating my heels as I would've wanted or in comparison to a few other nearby nail salons usually do. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! This place sucks!!! They were begging for tips. I had my two babies with them they asked me why I didn't leave them at home. She wanted me to leave my babies at home unattended. The manager was the worst ever. My baby started crying she told me to take my baby outside and LEAVE. They don't listen to anything you say. They do what they want and what they think looks good. DO NOT GO HERE!!! WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE!!! If I could get them a 0 out of 5 I would. They were so rude so illiterate. This used to be THE best place when it first opened. Now it is crap! The new owners took away the great service, they give me an attitude all the time. I was ok with it up until today when I went. It was terrible. Thy rushed me, when I was trying to pick out a color she kept saying sit down, sit down, I'm not going to sit down if I haven't picked out a color. They refused to fix my nail that the manicurist hit and smudge. The manicurist wouldn't listen to me when I tried to have her do anything. I drive 10 minutes out of my way just to go here. I've been here numerous times. It is hit or miss but mostly miss. They don't sterilize their tools. Prices went up but quality went down. My most recent experience was three days ago and shellac is already peeling. The girl that did it was really rough. I aksed if she was new turns out she has been there a while. This place doesn't even deserve 1 star! DO NOT COME HERE! There are plenty of places near by who are 100x better! I purchased a Groupon for shellac manicure and regular pedicure, was instructed to call and make appt for Groupon purchase. When I made appt they asked me WHY I purchased it and told me that I should have called and they would have given me the same price. How would I have known that! There wasn't a disclaimer at the bottom of the Groupon advertising that! That being said, I just had the worst shellac manicure by "Lilly" and worst pedicure by "Kim." I came for my first mani and pedi after months and was looking forward to this. Unfortunately I was rushed in picking a color, they rushed doing my nails, hardly cut my cuticles on my hands and feet and were beyond rude. Lilly was sighing, would look at me in the eyes with this annoyed look and roll her eyes. Lilly asked me to turn off the massage on the chair because the movement was apparently shaking my hand. IVE HAD PLENTY OF MANI PEDIS AND WAS NEVER ASKED TO TURN OFF THE MASSAGE LOL! My shellac mani is full of bubbles that I need to get this re done! The place was slow! Just 2 people at the time. My low star rating is because of the result at the end. They only recently started accepting cash tips only. And last week I went in and they told me their credit card machine was broken, when I saw the lady before me use it. They ask "have cash?" There is some serious issues with a business like that. I paid for 3 mani/pedi's...all 3 had issues. The lady doing my Mani/Pedi, was on her bluetooth the entire time and didn't even notice what she was doing. She forgot to put a top coat on my toenails, then she rushed on the topcoat on my mani. This caused for the nail polish to look "cracked." She fixed it, but as I was trying to explain to her what went wrong, she went ahead and rushed through it again. After showing her the nailpolish "cracked" again, she said, "it's ok, it's ok." I let it go, realizing she wasn't going to fix it. The second mani was with their new powder nail products. The lady left them looking bulky and would refuse to file them down. The third manicure was a french manicure. The lady left them looking thick, no curve, no elegance to them. The hostess was nice about the situation, but their work lacks professionalism and experience. I guess paying more doesn't always guarantee you will be getting better service/work. read more

This place is absolutely terrible. I walked in and asked for a regular french manicure. The guy who did my nails did not push back my cuticles or trim them. When I went to the cash register to pay, the lady at the register scolded me saying, "Next time you bring cash" Ummmmm there will NOT be a next time. read more

First time I came here was for a dip powder set. The nail tech did a nice job and I was satisfied. So, I decided to come back a second time for a refill dip set and a pedicure. I sat down in the pedi chair and had a lady working on my nails at the same time to remove the dip powder. She had me basically dip my fingers in a bowl of acetone instead of individually putting cotton and wrapping foil around each finger which works better. This method took forever and she looked unhappy about the whole process. So was I. The dip powder color was nice but the overall job was sloppy and messy around the cuticle area. There are bubbles on a couple of my nails and I'm a little perturbed at how much I paid and tipped for this service. However, I didn't want to be a jerk. A week later and my thumb nail is cracked, the part around my cuticle looks all jagged and messy. As for my pedi, meh. Not impressed. If I'm paying for the extras, put some backbone into it. The massage was hardly a massage. Another thing that bothered me was the fact that I wasn't even offered a drink. No water, no wine, nothing. Even though the two white ladies next to me had their glasses of wine and we're even asked if they'd like a refill. I'm sitting here for two hours while my nail tech figures her life out with my nails, thirsty, hungry and overall unsatisfied. I will not be returning here and don't recommend. I came in on a Friday morning. I had a Shellac manicure done and and eyebrow wax. Lisa greeted us right away and accommodated me and my 2 sisters. We were in and out in about an hour all with flawless nails! We love coming here because they are so friendly and affordable. DO NOT USE THIS BUISNESS! The manager is terrible. I came in and requested them to remove my gel polish and then repaint it. She had me choose a color. She asked me numerous times if I would also like a pedicure. I told her that I did not have time to do both and that I would just get my nails done. She claimed they were running a special and the pedicures were all discounted. I said that I still did not have time and I did not care for one. She said that she had two people available and the pedicure would not add any time because they would do both together. I agreed that I could do the pedicure if they could get them both done at the same time. She sent me back to the chair and said she would pick a toe nail polish to match my Shellac. I went back to the chair and two people started working on my hands and toes. About 3 minutes later other customers came in and she pulled one of the technicians to go help them. I was upset and felt this was rude. I the manager would send the next available person to do my nails so that they would be finished on time as promised. I was mistaken. She did not send another person even though they were available. Then when they started painting my toes I realized that the manager had chosen a blue and that they would not match the purple I had picked out for my nails. I told my technician and she claimed that it just looked different in the bottle and it would match my nails. Meanwhile the manager continued to send her technicians to work on entering customers and she made me wait till my technician was done with my toes until starting my nails. When she started my nails with the color I had picked she said that it did not match I agreed and told her that I was trying to explain I wanted purple earlier. Her solution was to find a Shellac to match the blue on my toes that I did not even like. I agreed because I needed to be finished. When checking out I explained my frustrations to the manager and she tried to blame it on the technician even though the problem was caused by her. I was there for 2 and a half hours and did not even get my nails painted the color I had wanted. I told her I would never come back! read more

I went in for a pedicure and eyebrow wax this evening. I was seen right away which was good. The woman who did my pedicure was sick and sniffling all over me. She would leave to blow her nose, did not wash her hands. Then, the pedi chair next to me was finished with a customer, and took another person immediately after without cleaning the tub...so gross. The #1 pedicure took 1 hour...by then, I was done. The girl tried to do my eyebrow wax, but was sniffling and breathing all over me. She did not wash her hands before she waxed either. I told her that the wax was fine and she did not need to tweeze or anything, I just wanted out. My daughter's first birthday party is Saturday, and I cannot get sick. I told the owner at the desk, and she told me, "she is not sick", ok fine. Then she wanted me to tip her $10!! She didn't even finish the eyebrow wax!!!! I started going to Meadow Nails a few months ago after the owner at AMC yelled at a good friend of mine whose shellac bubbled and she complained. I have been yelled at when my nail broke after 1 day. I gave it another chance, but NEVER AGAIN. Unsanitary, and rude. read more

I've been going to AMC Nails since they opened. All in all the service is good. The people are nice. They do good, quality work on both manis and pedis. The only reason for the 3 star review is just a couple of issues that I think they could be doing better: 1) the selection of nail polishes. i agree with the other reviewer here that they could definitely have more selection of good nail polishes 2) i hate it when they always try to upsell me to a more expensive service. i realize all nail shops do this, but i still hate it and 3) it bothers me when I ask to have one person do my mani while someone else does the pedi and they act kind of irritated by that request. I request that because I don't have a lot of time. They're staffed enough that it shouldn't be a problem. I'll end this on a positive note (and these are my reasons of why I continue to go there): 1) decent prices 2) fast service (i never make appointments and always get seen right away) 3) although they get a slight attitude about it, i always get out of there in about 45 minutes and 4) they have wine. :-) read more

This used to be a good place. I had my usual nail tech and my usual pedicure every two weeks. Once they changed management several years ago things have slowly gone downhill. The new owners did odd things like originally put an ATM machine in there, they encourage cash so they don't have to pay the 3% on the credit/debit card transactions, and regardless of the inconvenience to their regular customers they only accept cash tips. The owner is crazy. My daughter and I watched a meltdown in which she began throwing things and several girls had to calm her down. The meltdown was due to a customer complaining about the quality of service she received so beware if you are dissatisfied. The interior of the salon is very nice due to the original owners; however, the new owner is only concerned with making a profit and her taste is not classy. It's gotten so bad that all their regulars have begun to leave the salon. I've lost three regular nail technicians over the course of a year and the girls who they assure me do quality work are not up to the challenge on my acryllic nails. I'm very particular about the shape and quality of the work done on my nails. I loved the convenience of the salon but the quality of work is just not good so I will be looking for a new salon to accomodate the level of service I am accustomed to. read more
