FROM A 65 YEAR OLD PERSPECTIVE.... I gave my partner a Christmas gift to AQUAMAN 3D/IMAX. Spent the extra to 18.00 on flat bread pizza and drink.SPENT $42 ON 3:15 PM DEC 24TH VIEWING. The ticket person gave us the wrong glasses to view a 3D movie. We didn't realize it, what we saw was outta focus aquaman, we moved seats twice, still outta focus. We went to get a refund when the clerk told us we had the wrong glasses. We asked to see a manager, who had NO EMPATHY, MADE IT SEEM LIKE WE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN WE HAD WRONG GLASSES. What an ASSHOLE! If you spent half the time training your staff as you spent berating a 65 YEAR OLD, on your personels knowledge this review wouldn't exist here and Yelp. Christmas gift ruined, we went home upset. Coming from New York City, I have no idea what a McGuffins Bar is. Even though prices are outrageous, I still think this alcoholic "new popcorn" is a brilliant addition to AMC. $8-$20/drink. Ouch, that is worth a lot of popcorn. But at least I can consume my entire whiskey, while I can never consume an entire popcorn order (really can you?!). So my cost analysis says McGuffins is better than Concession. It's worth a try! I will definitely come back for their next special drink. read more

Located in a ritzy mall, this theater is pretty standard. I had to come out to this location as it was the closest theater to me which had showings of the recently released The Tragedy of Macbeth. When ordering they saved themselves well by giving free drinks and a popcorn because the concessions system was down. Unfortunately the soda machine that operated sprayed soda out wildly causing my cup and hand to get sprayed. On the whole the experience was good. I'd go again and like to see how their bigger screens look. read more

As a proud AMC a lister, this is my most frequented theater, and I love it. I definitely recommend using their free app to order snacks ahead of time. My one dislike is that if you don't use order ahead, snacks can really take a while to prepare (like 20-25 min long). Another small gripe is that not all of their soda machine's generate good tasting soda. For whatever reason, some machines have flat, almost tasteless soda. But other than those two things I love it. AMC often gives out free promotional items which I love, great/clean theaters and restrooms. I come here weekly! read more

I am disgusted by their actions. I bought a damn ticket, and they took the money right out of my bank. So when I go to the theater they say they can't do anything. Always have a great experience at this theatre. Came here to watch the new Venom movie and as always, AMC did not disappoint. We started out with cold beers at the adult lounge, followed up with hot popcorn with extra butter as we made our way to very comfortable seats for previews. Seats and the environment is always very clean and has an upscale feel to it. Apparently, I need to sign up for Stubbs membership as it offers free popcorn refills and 1/2 price movies on Thursdays. They advertise this quite frequently. Having the theatre at North Park mall allows one to shop before or after the show which is both convenient and nice! WOW! Just wow! We were so surprised at the horrible condition this theater was in on our visit last night! It was filthy! ABSOLUTELY FILTHY! Butter, sticky soft drink and nastiness were all over the concession counters and the floors were very dirty and sticky; even inside the individual movie theater. Trash was all over the floors and it looked like the place hadn't been cleaned in months! We didn't dare visit the restrooms on our visit. It was not only shocking, but extremely disappointing because this used to be our favorite place to visit. I wish I could say something, ANYTHING positive, but I have nothing to say on a good note that pertains to AMC in Northpark. The contrast of the clean mall (even after being open all day) to the inside of AMC was mind-boggling. Perhaps the condition of the theater could be blamed on a shortage of help but this isn't the case. We observed several employees just standing around socializing when they could've been cleaning up a bit: a simple wipe down would've helped tremendously. We were the first patrons to enter our movie theater and there was tons of trash left all over the place from the previous showing; popcorn buckets, drinks in our seats which I took to the trash bin which was overflowing already. Obviously the theaters aren't being cleaned after each showing. Very sad to see such a negative reflection on Northpark Mall and the City of Dallas. :-( read more

I'm truly at a lost for words... I really think the videos and pictures I post speak for themselves. I am not the typical movie goer. I prefer to wait until it comes on ITunes and pay for the movie vs a movie ticket. However a friend told me about their Dolby theater and we had black tickets from Costco. So it was a no brainer. Be forewarned even with black entrance tickets we had to pay an additional $6 for the Dolby theater. First impression: This is by far one of the dirtiest theaters I've been to and it's in North Park Mall! Popcorn on the floor everywhere. Go to the restroom and you see toilet paper strolled all of the floor. Just walking into the entrance of the Dolby theater you find it has not been cleaned and popcorn kernels stick to the soles of your feet. Even more frustrating is the fact that the chairs need instructions on how to operate them. Worst experience ever. All the screens in the entire theater shut down but left the sound going. We happened to be watching Top Gun with only 20 min left in the movie. Imagine hearing the ending of an epic movie but not being able to watch it - ruined the whole experience. They told the theater next to us that the screens were back on and everyone went back in. My favorite theater due to the mix of auditoriums and movie formats. Staff needs improvement which means management needs improvement - the staff at AMC Valley View is better. I was happy to see AMC employing handicap people whom I would happily pay a little extra and have a little more inconvenience for. I often frequent this theatre and I am pretty pleased. They have several cinematic theatre options to view movies on. Select movies can be viewed on IMAX 2D & 3D, 3D, and Dolby. The Dolby experience is my favorite. Concessions are pretty standard. Multiple lines are always open, regardless of what time of day it is. VIP allows faster access without the hassle of waiting in line. The theatre's are always kept clean. The bathrooms are always in very clean too. Come prepared to spend a little money as tickets can run from $15-22. I always feel safe when I come at night, especially at the latest showings. read more

Commenting solely on customer service, my experience at this theatre was terrible. For a theatre that is "constantly innovating the way we see movies" the managerial staff has not gotten the memo. Instead of being approached personally by the manager on duty, we were loudly told that we weren't going to be able to see the movie we had waited in line for about an hour. Regardless of the movie, I expected an apology and maybe even a comp ticket (the theatre wouldn't be losing money and I would come back, buy popcorn, food and drinks AND not write this 1-star yelp review) This was a poor decision on your behalf. I've loved AMC theaters since the early 2000s but it's obvious that customer service is no longer a priority. A simple human recognition goes a long way guys. I'm such a movie lover and an A lister. There are very few movies that arrive to the AMC Northpark I don't see, some in each theatre type. I have noticed more training of the staff to get us through the lines quicker and the apps help as well. If something isn't right, I've found the management to be polite, professional and accommodating. I enjoy the variety of films that arrive to the AMC Northpark, there is always something for everyone to enjoy. It's also nice to arrive here early and enjoy a cocktail, the view and people watch while waiting for your movie! read more

AMC Northpark is super massive bigface. I like to get to my movies early, so the fact that it is in a mall means I can get there early AND go to the Apple Store to drool over all of the updated iProducts that I haven't had the opportunity to purchase yet. Win win. Sometimes I also like to bring my own food to the movies, depending on what time of day it is. When I am in Dallas I am just about always on some sort of vacation/break/nothing better to do so we head to early afternoon showings, right around lunchtime. Quite a lenient bunch. If I am not bringing self-made food, I usually head to Which Wich, right across from the ticket counters, and grab myself a Wich of some kind to bring in. Walk in - buy tickets. Employees can see me. Walk over to food - Employees can watch me. Get food - Employees can squint at me. Walk over to my Aunt with food - Employees can continue to check me out. Put food & water in my Aunt's giant purse - Employees can concentrate on the sketchiness. And yet, I walk in, and nothing happens. I'm used to TSA-style ticket rippers, so the fact that I can blatantly purchase food and walk right in with it is pretty cool. Seats are huge, comfortable, and the place is never really packed. It's a movie theater, in what seems to be the absolute center of Northpark mall. I have no idea where to park to get from car to ticket window fastest, and I may never figure it out. This location features some kiosks for ticket buying as well as the regular humanly manned window service, assigned seating in the theater, a crazy shitload of concessions options, and a seemingly fully stocked bar. The food includes sandwiches, pizzas, and a wide variety of things you might find in the cafeteria line at a jr high. A bottle of water and a medium (32oz) soda costs $10, so bring a credit card as charges will rack up quickly. We vacantly stared at our tickets for a while before figuring out what theater we were supposed to be going into. It's the big number on the right. The letter/number combo is your seat, and the number 15 at the top corresponds to the number of screens at that location. Maybe my friends and I are the only ones who missed the memo on that.
